The more established your blog and website become, you will see an increase in comments and guest blogging requests. I recently had to deal with my first unpleasant comment, and to make my life easier in the future I added a comment policy to my site, outlining what is allowed on my website and what isn't.

I then received a request for a guest blog on my site, which sadly was just a request to republish old content from their site. We all want original content when it comes to guest posts on our site. So I did some research and published a guest blogging policy on my site to help potential guest bloggers send adequate articles to me for review.

So now I want to share my experience and show you my policies to give you an idea of what you can include in yours. Having these policies in place gives you a good blueprint on how to deal with comments and guest blogs and can save you a lot of time in the future.

So here it goes.

Thanks Sarah for your wonderful blog on Comments and Blog Policies. If you don.t mind I may adopt your comment policies to abbreviate my thinking process in generating one. It will serve as my prototype to create my own, not to plagiarize it. Cheers and Best!

Feel free to use as much of it as you want. It was one of the main reason why I shared this training. It took me a while to get mine together as I had to do some research. So hopefully this will save a lot of fellow WAers a lot of time :)

Thank you for the heads-up Sarah, I've seen some nastiness in my time, though thankfully never in our WA community.
God bless...

Hey Shirley,
thankfully my unpleasant commentor was not a WA member. But it made me realize that the more exposure my site gets, the more it can attract people who "like to argue". After doing some research and learning that interacting with them does not get rid of them, I decided to implement the policy. It has worked very well for me so far :)
