Easy Google Fonts

When it comes to writing quality content, readability is really important. Arial, Courier New, Georgia and Times New Roman are great fonts but why not take it to the next level with the Easy Google Fonts plugin for WordPress?

This tutorial will show you how to create a custom font control, so that you can format individual paragraphs with your own fonts, rather than having to use the standard ones.

For example, if your theme uses Times New Roman, you could change it to, say, Georgia, but that would mean that ALL of your paragraphs will be formatted to use Georgia. What if you wanted some of your paragraphs formatted in Times New Roman and some of them in Georgia? Heck, what if you wanted some of them in an non-standard font, like Cabin Sketch?

Well, stick around! This tutorial will show you how to do just that!

So, let's get cracking!

Installing the Plugin

To install Easy Google Fonts, you add it like any other plugin. Simply search for Easy Google Fonts:

As you can see, this is an extremely popular plugin, with over 300,000 active installs. Once installed, just activate it as you would with any other plugin.

Next, we'll look at how to set it up.

Tracy, you only need to insert the code in front, without the closing.

Many Thanks. Would this work also for my tag line under my site name and logo in my header section?
I have tried but doesn't seem to work. Maybe I am doing it wrong?

In fact it came back with " Cheating, huh? You ain't allowed to customize this site".
Is this a WordPress thing because I have a free theme?

Tracy, I tried it but failed to change the font of my tagline & header either. I think it came with the preselected font we select with our theme. But don't take my words for it, ask around those familiar with the HTML code.

Nah...I only like 20:20 because it goes so fast...mind you...the last few tests have been all over red rover the fastest I have ever known...how embarrassing for US!

I'm an AFL'er in winter...tennis in summer...I don't have time for anymore than that!!! :)

I'm doing 2 internet marketing courses at the moment...WA and another one based in UK...keeps me juggling a few balls in the air most of my waking hours! :)
