Step 1: Get Your Google API

You'll need your Google API (Application Program Interface). Don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds. This is just some code that allows to programs to talk to each other and exchange information.

First, go here:

https://console.developers.google.com/

Login with your Google Account - the same one you use for Gmail and likely setup your YouTube account with. You'll then be presented with something like this:

Step 2:Create a New Project

In the upper-RIGHT-hand corner click My Project and then clickCreate a project:

You call the project whatever you like. I called mine "YouTubeViews" as you can see in the image above.

Step 3: Select the new Project

Then, again click MyProject and select the project name you just created so that you are on that active project:

Excellent job so far!!

Step 4: Entering Google APIs Area

Okay, now, on the main screen....look a bit left and you'll see the Use Google APIs area as such:

Click the API Enable and Manage APIs link highlighted in the image above.
