1. Keyword Placement
Most of the time you won't even have to worry about placing your keywords in the right places because they will already be there once you're done writing your first draft.
But it's always good to make sure. Right?
Here are the places your target keyword be:
- In the first 100 words or so
- A couple times in the body
- Wrapped in an h2 or h3 tag
- In the last several words
2. Keyword in Front/Beginning of Your Title
Have you ever noticed posts with their keywords in the front of their titles are on the first page?
You never or rarely see a title with its keyword at the end.
Task:
- Try to have your target keyword in the front/beginning of your title (don't have it be your last words in the title).
3. Add LSI Keywords and Synonyms
LSI's are the related searches you see at the bottom of every page on Google.
Adding some of these will help you rank for more keyword terms. It'll also tell Google what your content is about.
Synonyms will also help you rank for additional terms and let Google know what your content is about.
Task:
- Add or make sure you have 2 or 3 LSI keywords and synonyms to your post.
4. Add Modifiers to Your Title
Modifiers are words like:
- best
- 2015
- beginners
- guide
These, like LSI keywords, will help you rank for more keyword terms.
But since these will be in your title tag, they'll have a lot more weight than the related terms in the body of your content.
Task:
- Add 1 or 2 modifiers to your title tag.
Now let's move onto the next page...
Thank you for putting so much work into it and sharing it with others.
