Content Marketing Mistakes to Avoid in 2021

If you are serious about content marketing, there is no better way than a corporate blog. There are errors here, as there are in many other areas of marketing. These mistakes should be identified and eliminated. This post will discuss the top mistakes in corporate blogs.

Corporate Blog Mistake #1: You are Not Focusing on Relevant Keywords

Your blog is used for attracting people's attention. You create a post about a topic and prospects will search for your company and your post. It sounds very easy.

This is the first mistake in corporate blogs: You write about subjects and use keywords you believe would be of interest to your target audience. This does not necessarily mean that your topic will be 1 to 1 with the relevant topics for your target audience.

It is important to conduct keyword research before you start a topic. It is easy to find the keywords that your readers actually use most often and quickly identify them. Then, align your blog posts to the relevant keywords. One post per keyword! Google will also find you.

You can add an exciting news article again and again if there is a significant event in your company. This shouldn't be a routine.

Corporate Blog Mistake #2: You Forget about Storytelling

You've likely heard of storytelling at some point. Everyone should have it. You don't understand the principles. I'll explain it briefly. It's simple.

Storytelling is like a classic hero story. Your reader is the hero who faces a problem. Your role is to be the mentor and wise advisor who will help the hero navigate his way through the difficulties. The topic used to revolve around saving a beautiful maiden and defeating a dragon. But the topics have changed.

You could tell someone, for instance, how you can make him the heating-efficiency and energy-saving hero in the neighborhood by installing your Mega-Heater 2000 to replace his old heating system. There are many "hero stories" like this. We have so many stories to tell, you can dedicate the first or second paragraph of an article on storytelling.

Corporate Blog Error #3: Too Short or too Long Text

Talking of "detailed", verbosity can also be a source of errors in corporate blogs. You need to find the right balance between five-line text and lengthy 5000-word texts. While the latter cannot answer all of your readers' questions in depth, too long text can quickly become tedious.
