you need something to keep track of t your emails and your progress of your sales if you have folks checking your ads out , you want to find out who and why they left, exactly what they are after, , i found that folks are hurting from different issues if you have the remedy they are looking for, all there is left is offering them what you have to get them up and running again

I don't really understand the end note: does it mean that once I upgrade and buy my domain here, I will be able to use AdSense just like on any other website hosted on any other platform?
Or this site rubix is a subdomain of Wealthy Affiliate and the subscribers of WA can only work on their websites within this interface here?
Sorry if I don't make sense and thank you for reading this!
Reply
Labman Premium
You will need a top-level domain (the one you need to purchase) to apply to AdSense. Adsense will not approve subdomains (any site with .siterubix.com in the URL)
Reply
MariaMarcus Premium
Thanks for the answer Labman, very helpful!

So correct me if I'm wrong: the WA offers the option to premium members to host their website (upto 50), and I only need to buy the domain name from here, for around 15$/year.
Than, once my website's URL will look like www. mydomainname. com , even if its hosted by siterubix (or maybe this part confused me, that the hosting here is not on rubix)
will be elligible to partner with Adsense.
Reply
Labman Premium
There are 25 free sites available to Premium members. These sites are on a subdomain of siterubix so the URL will appear http://Sitename.siterubix.com.

In addition, you can purchase 25 additional domains where you will buy the URL. These will be .com, .org or .net file extensions (those are the only extensions that WA provides and are the most effective at ranking) cost for each will be $13.99 these will not have the .siterubix extension and will appear as http://Sitename.com These are what is referred to as top-level domains.

Site Registration is where you purchase the URL. This reserves the name of your site (like a street address). Then you need to have hosting (like the house sitting at the address) someplace that stores the content on your site. WA provides the hosting for 25 sites and provides the hosting and registration for the 25 free sites (on the .siterubix sub-domain)

I hope this clarifies.

Thank you very much Labman, this made everything crystal clear!!
And it was important for me, because you don't find all these details just everywhere here, and being new makes it a bit harder to look in the right spot.
Also, i would like to know one more thing, if anyone here would answer, not necessarily you, as i took enough of your time already:
How premium members pay their membership -are they charged monthly or per year?

You are A-MA-ZING, all of you!!
Reply
nathaniell Premium
Yes, you are correct that hosting on WA and using a siterubix domain are two different things. "Siterubix" is the general name for all the tools here, but it's also the subdomain you use for the free websites. Anyway, once you get your own .com, no matter if it's hosted here at WA or somewhere else, you can put Adsense on your website.

Paying for your WA membership can be done monthly or yearly. There's a discount for yearly, but that option only appears after you have become a monthly member, so you won't see that option right now.

Hope this helps Maria!
Reply
MariaMarcus Premium
Thanks a lot Nathaniell, of course it helps! There are details that I want to know before and I cannot see exactly how they work until I decide to become a full member, and this is why I asked, to analyse if the options here are suited for my needs and actual budget.
If I had to pay for a whole year from the beginning, like other sites ask (Bluehost for ex.) I could not afford it right now, and I would have to lose the discount that I get through you.

Thank you for your explanation.I have a problem building my website and without it, I will not be able to do anything.
I was thinking of joining Divi.
Could you tell me the easiest way to build my website, get it running in order to be able to work with Adsense, please.

Thanks Veronica, good info. I am such a newbie at all of this, seems like I have dozens & dozens of hours I need to put in just to kinda get started. How long did it take you to make your 1st dollar using this WA system? or more exactly, how long did it take you to understand enough to actually start doing a online business so you could start making money?

Everyone has a different learning curve so someone can make their first dollar in their 2nd month like I did or 6th months or a year. You never know and this is not just something to pick up for a month, this is a real business that takes time to learn and build.

That is why they have an annual membership, to save your membership costs for those who are serious into building this business. :)

Here are some success stories you can read about that will have some time lines too:

Excellent tutorial, nice and clear. Thank you.

I feel that by thoroughly going over the basics (that are as clearly written as this) will allow me to create a solid foundation of knowledge to serve me in the future, and ensure no silly gaps in my understanding of the basics.

If you don't have the basics down, you are gonna struggle when things get more complicated

What is great so far is how simple and clear your explanations are which make tech-talk much more digestible!

Saying this, I have just come across the word "plugin". To clarify, is this a piece of software that enables two separate websites to interact?

Also, how would I be able to monitor stats?
Reply
Dale123 Premium
A plug-in is basically just an “add-on” to your site. They are easy additions that can be installed/removed with the click of a button to add different functions to your site. Think of it like an app on your phone.

You will see more about monitoring stats later in the training, but you will see that you’re able to view pretty much every stat you could ever wish to monitor :)

What if my niche was based on a social issue such as privatizing education in my state, Michigan? Is it feasible that my product would be "critical thinking"or "life-long learning?" And if that makes sense, then could a solution be to return to our original state-madated/written standards that we've used for many years ; Would I also need to provide paperwork ..

Can I be just as profitable with a site that is based on an idea instead of a product, and can that idea also have several op ed type articles to go with this niche as well? I would also include the stats and data that are registered with my state; the point would be to prove that there really is not PROOF that online schooling, college training, for profit/non-profit charter schools; to prove that these new options under the new education reform acts in Michigan are not scoring so well , I would investigate and share my findings with her.

You might need two niches; one being your social niche (that you do for pleasure) and the other one being the one that helps to pay the bills.

If you are seen as an expect in your social niche, you might be able to speak (if that took your fancy) (maybe for a fee) at public events to raise awareness. Or maybe write a book and get paid royalties. I know one guy who has a decent website who is now writing a book for the worldwide market based I assume on being seen as an expect by the book publisher. The book publisher would not know he is an expect in that field without the website.

Brings to mind the famous saying: What comes first, the egg or the chicken?

You could have paid ads that promote your point of view. Maybe AdSense ads....

You may just need to get your feet wet, so to speak.

The Jaaxy keyword in your case, would be "privatizing education Michigan" or maybe "privatizing education".

And remember to also use these terms in your google research.

Hi, no, you don't 'have to', it's optional and it's whether or not it would help your niche. If you did want to 'capture' emails it can be done by simply offering a 'newsletter', people can opt in and you will capture their email but it isn't necessary, it's optional. : )

I enjoyed reading this..it is precisely what I would like to educate on correcting..for the purpose of asserting inherent, not policy, driven freedom..Obviously in plain every day terms, we get the point, however in legal terms, it means something completely different. For example, I am indeed. Am I a noun? A non-living entity? Mandy, Steve, and Jimmy were born unto me. Are they my children? Are they the kids? Please educate on the prefix, "a", and IT will become clear why I ask government and fellows, "am I on your papers?"

I am indeed. am I a person, place or thing? No. I am indeed.
I am....not...i am a........................

please educate on the words, person, human, anyone, everyone, no one, individual, corpse, corporation, etc....all non-living entities created for legal purposes only...Jurisdiction please? I challenge you to even attempt to disprove with any thing other than ignorance, stigma, or cruelty, because it's not going to happen..I am grateful to say these things because we matter. We are not things to be isolated, identified, labeled, and treated with disrespect thats things all too often are. When we label each other, we disable each other. We don't deserve IT, and we never have. Do not expect to get truth from common dictionaries. Use legal dictionaries only..ask yourself why we are not taught legalese, the court jargon used to control us in ignorance, in school.......I'm really going to need help presenting these facts, so I am so appreciative of you..I am indeed
Reply

I've heard similar things, the courts see us as corporations, numbers, not living people.

Absolute fact..if u allow IT only..The UN Universal declaration of human rights, a fraud, applies persons..r u a person?

I am indeed, and everyone, anyone, and no one thinks they can label and thus own me. I beg to differ. Freedom is inherent, and Maritime money bag crown cronies, which I can label as they are not, have zero jurisdiction over moi..I'm here to teach freedom
Reply
Beginzwithme Premium
Absolutely, but pay attention, the geno crown even has it in their mind they can define life. They cannot. i am indeed. All persons are non-living personifications only..labels for their imaginary state of ownership..notice the word ship on the end..we will get to that..suffice it to say, maritime money bag crown cronies, and i can them as they choose to be things willingly, with out ignorance, have zero jurisdiction over us..we live..is my godly name on their papers? no...zero jurisdiction...i keep my living god's law..i cause no harm. i cause no loss.. i need not even appear in one their maritime dressing rooms the pretend are halls of justice..again, its about jurisdiction. they could try to drag me butt into one, but they won't. Because they know their time is over..This is the age of information, which is the reason residential genocidal institutions could not remain open, because of the internet, not for lack of decades and decades of resistance, were closed in the 90s only because of it..Grace of god man. people tried and tried screaming through the genocidal fog that is the Crown in Canada. I now understand what its like to be told to be polite or to shut up, or be spit upon, or even be tortured, out of ignorance and stigma for begging for the lives of our fellow..our families...I cant wait to show all of us exactly how IT works...I got 3 months of gruelling work, and 50 plus gigs of hard core data to share with y'all...yaaaaaay!

So on this lesson it states that it’s better to do Affiliate marketing if you’re new to internet marketing. But doesn’t that just make this another affiliate marketing campaign? Also, why dont the Links open up when I click on them? I can check out the information if the links don’t open.

Yes, it is another affiliate marketing campaign. It is recommended first though, because the only skill you need to know is how to write. It makes it a very straightforward business model.

From my own experience clicking on the links, I thought they were fine. I hope this helps.

I would like to do a blog vs a blog. I know only the basics of AdSense related to websites. Didn’t even know a blog could be a vehicle for AdSense. Do the same AdSense principles apply to vlogs? Are there 5-7 pros and cons on blog vs. vlog you could list? How long does it normally take to get approved for AdSense for either blog/vlog?

Hi Angela, here at WA we start with websites and as we progress, we later do video. I'm still building my sites and I'm not doing video yet. However, I found this site on google and maybe you can check it out:

Yes you can add Adsense to your website and earn money with it. The time to get approved for Adsense totally depend on google, but it can vary from a few hours to a few days. I think I waited for more than a week.

I hope this will help you.

Has anybody here in WA compared the old & tested (Aweber, getresponse, Mailchimp...) vs. the newer ones like Convertkit, Sendlane, Activecampaign and the like? I've been trying to surf and it seems that each have their strengths and weaknesses. However, it would be great to have a jump with someone giving a shortcut review for most of them...

I use Aweber and love it. It's dependable, reputable, and allows affiliate marketing, some others like Mailchimp don't allow affiliate links unless it's a sponsored relationship.

I have heard good things about GetResponse & Convertkit but not much detail. I think it comes down to what you need and what each one provides for you.
Reply
lakbar12 Premium
I have tried Aweber, GR and mailchimp. Today I signed up for covert kit so I am testing it out. So I do not have much detail but I can give you what I learned so far.

When you first sign they will test your domain and make sure you own it. Also the domain you sign up with will be your main domain on convertkit.

Convertkit likes you to keep seperate accounts if you are targeting more than one audience..there advice is as follows...
1. If your blogs cater to a different segments of the same audience, then one ConvertKit account will work fine.

2. If they are separate blogs with distinct audiences, you will have an easier time creating a separate account for each blog.

Convertkit does weekly live training. they help you set the autoresponder up as a squence when you first set up your account
The 'All Subscribers' filter

And they focus on using one list
ConvertKit was built to be Subscriber-centric, this means you really only have one list. use Segments and Tags to carefully separate one audience but you won't ever want to use the 'All Subscribers' option when sending Broadcasts or creating Segments.

As that will include subscribers from both audiences.

and they have an affiliate program. So far that is all I know about convertkit and 14 day trial...

Hope this helps

Thank you. Follow up though... did you encounter issues in transferring your list from one service to another? Oh... and I'm looking forward for any updates on your Convertkit experience. =)

I don't understand these last two comments.

.Note: If you apply for a new Adsense account you will need your own domain. You can not apply for an Adsense account using a subdomain like siterubix.com.

When your account is approved using your own domain you can add Adsense to your siterubix.com site if you would like.

I understand paragraph one, but paragraph two speaks of using siterubix as your own domain? Please explain more anyone? I'm not ready to build a wordpress site on my own yet, but I don't want to build something that can't be scaled up either. I'm just not understanding paragraph two. thank you
Reply
feigner Premium
i think that means if you get approved for your own domain, the you can add the same code to a siterubix site without having to reapply for adsense authoriation.
But first you need to apply with a domain not a siterubix site.
Reply
lakbar12 Premium
I have never used Adsense or applied for it but, I have applied at different affiliate programs with a siterubix.com domain and was denied due to me not owning the domain. Siterubix.com is not owned by us, we have to purchase a domain and WA provides the best pricing, with all the features that is included. $13.99 per year that price can not be beat.

I believe what she is saying do not apply for Adsense until you have a registered domain (one you paid for with WA or another domain provider), once your Adsense account is approved using the domain that you purchase.

...then and only then can you add Adsense to a siterubix.com domain

I hope this helped!

Thank you for this training! I just want to say that Adsense was a source that was considered for my website, until I started reading through their rules. It became apparent that they want to be in control of your site and for that reason, I chose to rejected them.

I am happy to say that there are so many other choices out there and at the same time, allowing you the freedom to retain control at all times. Guess this is more of an opinion than anything else but it is nice to have choices.

I think this article is a perfect example of what we must keep in mind as marketers: give the audience true value. If we give them something they can truly use and it benefits them in some way they will trust us and will return the favor in the future, perhaps by purchasing something we recommend for which we receive a commission. Enjoyed and benefited from this article. Thanks.

ok so I attended the first portion of awols academy before they asked me for 14 grand ..... but the talk about an audience who you put your ad in front of, then If they clicked that it would send them to a squeeze page or lead page. this is where they put there email in / get sent to the offer page where they can buy a product.

im currently on course 1 lesson 7, and im learning about building my own website to send traffic through. is there a comparison between the squeeze page , and building my own website?
Reply
Kyoko817 Premium
A squeeze page is just one page for only the purpose of capturing visitors' information to build the list (mostly by setting up opt-in) so you can promote your products through email sequences. Building the website, especially here, is to create contents (blogging post) focusing on Keywords and so forth to drive traffic in an organic way.

The reason why you create many contents is to make the website become more authoritative so you will gain the credibility of visitors as well as Google and other search engines.

If you only have a sqeeze page, you will probably have to spend $$$$$ to get traffic. I know many marketers are spending a fortune to make multi fortunes, but not all of us can do such thing.

There is nothing wrong with the squeeze page, you can absolutely add it to your website you will build, and I think that's the way it should be.

I think in this tutorial there should be instructions or guidance in establishing your own domain, and the cost involved in establishing a domain. I personally was shocked to find out that site.rubix.com was a sub-domain. As a new premium customer Is there anyone that chose to get your own domain, the cost, etc. and available for comment?

Hi, most people choose their own domain and at such a small cost of around $15 per year with full hosting included it really is a no-brainer!

You can purchase your domain right here at WA and it's really easy to transfer your 'free' site to your new domain.

Hi there, I had great success with internet marketing as far back as 2006, I earnt £500 in 3 weeks just by following the simple instructions...Then the company that I was an affiliate with went bust...so I spent a long time figuring out how to avoid that problem..

Along the way I realised that only people with a good email list, website and choice of multiple streams of income were succeeding...I also found myself jumping from one shiny button to the other..The good thing is - I've learned a lot of what to do beside what not to do...

Consistency and perseverance with yourself whilst learning is the key

My question is how would I be able to help others without asking them to read a book first? Place an order for additional information?

Hello, Ms. Kushie...look up to the top of your page you should see a search bar with the words Hey Kushie, search help here. If you type in what the other members including yourself have questions about a list of links to tutorial videos will pop and depending on which one meets your need will be the link you will copy and paste to the page or post of that member. IF for you then you would just simply click the link to the site for the tutorial that could be a blog or videos from anyone of many different back grounds of expertise.

Hope this helps,

Ms. Kida

OK, so you want to help people - that's a great start, because it's always better to focus on providing maximum value to your visitors as opposed to just focusing on money. However from what I understand to help the people in your niche they must have first read a specific book? Is that correct? If so then yes there is no harm in asking people to purchase the book, read it & then come back to your website to continue with the course or whatever it is you plan on putting together :)

Don't be afraid of asking people for money if you are doing it to truly help them or provide them value - you will find that if that's the case people will be more than willing to make purchases.

Hello kushie, beautiful name by the way. I myself for my personal niche have a spiritual self help book called "DISCOVER YOUR TRUE EXISTENCE" I did alot of online researching on publishing my books and learned that it is vital to turn your book into your business. So depending on what your book is sharing or teaching i suggest your also write a self help version where you can teach your book to others in the way of seminars, motivational speaking engagements, training classes to teach others who are interested truly in your craft to do the work with you and of course charge for these services. I suggest your down load a free ebook on line called " How to Multiply and Grow your Business Successfully" it was a great help for me in defining my goals and marketing ideas to not only make major revenue opportunties but to live my passion as well.
Hope this info helps. Enjoy your Day, its not only your Birthright its your Job!!!!

I've gone through this part of the process twice just to absorb anything I might of missed the first time. the content is awesome. it gives clarity to exactly how and what the process is. I have a question on this page specifically. or at least the content on this page. When you say that I cannot apply or be approved for an AdSense account using a sub domain such as the one on this site does that mean that the website I create in class with it's awesome people attracting content and it's knock it outta the park site name that when I want to branch out on my own to get my own domains that I will have to come up with other content and catchy focal points again. Which is fine I just wanna know to be able to save the best for last so to speak. As I understand it the website I make is in fact mine and when I venture out on my own I take my project with me in all of it's glory i will just have to get my own domains to utilize this feature. If the next two lessons are the creation of the website I would like to know the answer for definite so I don't relive my failed moment in high school where I joined a poem contest with three of my poems the prize being a savings bond and my poems being published in a collective poem book. Having all three poems entered place and put in that book prevents me from being able to publish them in my own book or any other. At the time they were my best poems and I've always regretted not understanding that aspect of entering them. Had I known I would of entered some of my less creative work.

"The advantage is as I said before if they purchase anything at all, not even related to your product you still get paid."

So if they link to amazon from your website even if its not on the original item you may have linked to, you still make commission?

So someone linking to amazon through your site for a tv stand and end up buying a tv while they are there, you'd get paid the 4% commission on the tv?

I might be a newbie but from my research these 6 ways to make money online go along with what I would expect to be a natural progression of a well managed e-commerce business. As our businesses grow we should look at this list as a tool to keep our focus not only where we are in the process but also on the next step in our evolution.

So you take your niche & make a website then sign up for the affiliates that were linked to colic. Got it. So what is a review & how is it done. We have a website that has gotten a few views & that's it. While we fork out $$$ to keep in running. Trying to figure out how to turn this around.

Thank you very much Veronica,
In fact, according to your lessons here, everything seems simple. However, I think that in practice everything is much more complicated. Especially for beginners.
But I'm not going to give up, I know that I will have to make a lot of effort until I reach my goal of having the financial freedom working and get benefit online.
In addition to this, there are so many wonderful people in WA who I hope to help me to overcome all the difficulties.

Thank you for the insight Veronica. It is helpful to see the potential for our online businesses. As I am reading through your blog I am gaining inspiration and hope for longevity.

First things first, the ground work must be laid as I have seen and heard in the training and various blogs within WA. It is encouraging to know where hard work and dedication can take you.

I am a firm believer in paying attention to what other people are doing, not to copy them but to become inspired and informed by them. It may not work for me in the exact way but I can draw from your experiences, failures and successes and apply it in a way that will work for me and my endeavors.

Girlfriend you rock for your willingness to share what you've learned with all of us. Thanks again. ~ India

I feel that out of all six of these the ones that might seem more in favor are 1-4 main reason you are marketing a product from a company and get paid for it. I get that. But my main question and I am still learning. Is the how to go about it? What niche would best suit your audience? And as a starter in this community what advice would you give a noobie?

Hey Rachel,

The following blog may help you with your first and second question: The advice I would give someone new to ANY training is to NEVER EVER skip ANY of the steps that are setup for you to take as this will only hurt you. No one will be watching over your shoulder to make sure you're taking every step, so only YOU can make sure to follow the instructions.

Also ... do NOT "binge watch" the training. Take the lessons one at a time. Give yourself time to absorb what you just learned in one lesson before jumping into the next one.

Those who tend to binge on the lessons most times end up feeling totally overwhelmed. I can say this because I have been guilty of such a move ... LOL!

Hope this helps you.

It seems you are confused about a niche. OK, let me explain to you what is niche more clearly.

Niche means the subject of your interest, in which you have some knowledge so that you can write several contents related to that niche. Actually, every niche is profitable, what matters is a number of contents you can write on that niche. So, instead of thinking which niche is profitable, think in which niche you can write many contents by targeting several different keywords, because more contents you can write, you gonna have more traffic to your website and then more conversions, sales or even profit from advertisements within your website by applying with services like Google Adsense. If you don't know what Google Adsense means, then you can click this link:- https://www.newsonlineincome.com/how-to-make-money-from-google-adsense/

So, any niche is a profitable niche for you if you have some ideas on that niche so that you can write several contents on that topic on your own as well as by doing research on Google. So, sure you can pick any niche and keep on making website exactly as guided by Wealthy Affiliate lessons by doing proper keywords research for each content.

So, keep on taking Wealthy Affiliate lessons by clicking "Get Started Here/Certification" green bar on the left-hand side menu of Wealthy Affiliate. At the end of those lessons, there are some tasks which you need to complete. Move step by step from lesson 1 without skipping any lessons or tasks. I repeat, without skipping any lessons or tasks. If you move in that way, soon you will understand the system of Wealthy Affiliate and even will start to build your online business.

And remember, I'm always ready to help and support you. You can always feel free to ask me if you need any help from my side within Wealthy Affiliate. Even you can follow me and message me on Facebook if you need my urgent help. This is my Facebook ID:- https://www.facebook.com/rajde029

My first idea is to try and help people to quit smoking by promoting E-cigarettes. This is something that I myself have been though, I'm now over 2 years smoke free all thanks to E-cigarettes. I tried many times in the past to give up with no joy then I tried the E-cig and hey presto SECCESS. Also nowadays they are becoming very popular.

Hello Veronica,
Thank you for sharing this article. You said that you can sign up with your on domain for Google adsense and then use that account for your siterubix site as well. I am wondering about the following:
Can you only have one Google Adsense account?
I thought one account for each niche you are dabbling into might be better for tracking purposes. So you know where the money is coming from and can amend the web site...
Or does Google limit the accounts?

Thanks,

There was a part when you were talking about showcasing some Amazon products on your site and mentioned that even if the audience purchases a different product that the one you put on your site, you still get paid. So, as long as they follow the link to Amazon and make a purchase, you still get a commission?

researched a solution to a problem in the form of a product then promoted the product and took a commission. The question is "how to create a site substantial enough to get authority to promote high ticket items since its easier to sell 1 $20,000 product then it is to sell 1,000 $20 products. THIS is where I would love some expert advice learned over years by an expert but explained in a way that allows me to grasp it in 1 day ;)

In case someone else is wondering how that works, it's through the cookie process. When someone clicks through from your site to the merchant's site, a cookie is dropped on their computer. When they complete any purchase, that triggers the merchant's pixel to fire, reporting the sale to the affiliate network or merchant, and including your cookie information to credit the sale to you. It all happens on the check-out page which is where all sales funnel through, and it's all done automatically.

I liked the example. It makes perfect sense how you went about it. I'm a little stuck on finding my niche. I was thinking in larger terms of a topic or market, rather than focused on one singular product.

Was your niche that product, which you marketed and then moved on to something completely different and focused on another singular product? Or was that the just first product within that niche or market and you stuck with it?

Newbie here... second time thru your lesson package and things are starting to click. There's so much information (and help) here on WA it can and is overwhelming while the same time encouraging. I'm trolling for a niche and woke up this morning thinking about a blog/website about the town I live in... a kind of "today in hometown" information, human interest, trivia, social calendar web site. Info can be about the arts, restaurants and bars, community events, local history (trivia), etc. Trying to understand the best way to monetize a site like this and your examples of relevant advertisers (local establishments of all types) and adsense ads seem logical. It also occurs to me that this niche (if it is a niche) is limited in it's reach (limited by geography) and thus may not be a great choice, even though it has strong interest for me. I would love to hear your opinion on this.
Thanks for the great advise and ideas!

Hi Mark and welcome to Wealthy Affiliate! I believe you can monetize your site. You can build it as a place to come and visit with some beautiful images and videos to invite your audience--they'll be on the next flight to meet you there!
Reply
I can tell you this as the owner of an offline business-- I would LOVE to see someone local build a website where, for instance, I could network with other businesses and offer "combo" deals. As an example--I'd love to see a site where I could partner with a local pizza place and do a joint coupon--1.00 off a bag of kettle corn if the person purchases a pizza.

And if the site also included an app for smartphones, so that people would get offered my coupon on their phone when they purchased from a partnered business, I would be more than willing to pay a decent monthly subscription fee to list my business. There's a company out there that has an app program--ICanget2 (I think that's the name)-- that could be used for such a site.

You would think that in a city the size of Tucson there would be a dozen "buy local" sites of this type, or local review sites, networking sites, etc-- but there aren't. All we have is the hit or miss connections on Craigslist in rants and raves, and the rather pitiful offerings from the old Arizona Daily Star, and one or 2 free publications with badly designed online sections....And nobody is offering anything close to an all around "TUCSON STUFF" site for locals, never mind tourists.

I'd say this is not only a niche, but it's one well worth filling, because it's one that everyone in town can get invested in, and be a part of in one way or another-- and the more people it involves, the more it will grow. Even a very small town can generate a surprising amount of wealth if everyone gets excited.

Chrystalia - thanks for taking the time to write this thoughtful and detailed reply... it'll definitely help guide my decision.
Another thought I've had about this particular niche is that it'll be more time consuming relative to a typical affiliate marketing site that steers visitors to product recommendations (and commissions). I say this because because content will have a shorter shelf life... community events will expire and new events will appear on radar daily, and there'll be a responsibility to keep up. failing to do so will deter repeat visitors and sponsors/advertisers. On the plus side it's really a labor of love and the potential to fill a valuable public service is a strong motivator.
Again, thanks for your meaningful feedback.

I've worked with dozens of local content sites, and there are many ways to monetize them. Look at hotel affiliate programs for guests coming to town. If fishing is popular, add a fishing gear affiliate program, or cycling gear affiliate program, or camping gear. Link to a ticket program for tickets to events either in town or nearby, Perhaps a clothing affiliate program for seasonal wear - jackets in the winter, swimwear in the summer. Some of your content can be evergreen - the basics about the town, the museums, restaurants and other attractions, annual events, favorite unique shops, etc. Your labor of love can definitely be profitable as well.

This was so informative an opened my eyes up to what happens when I use a search engine like Google. There are some people who focus on that and do eventually succeed in that goal. Then there are the people who only sell courses claiming to teach you how to do that. Do stay away from those people! The training here is solid.

The other part, though, is that the success can depend on the niche you choose. The niche you are choosing isn't necessarily one where it's easy to make money, but as I said, if that's your passion, then you may be willing to trade the income in order to help others. If money matters more (and that's perfectly okay, cause you have bills to pay too), consider starting with a different niche site, make that profitable, then create a second site to follow your passion.

Hi Josh,

I first suggest you go through the main lessons in the GREEN button first before going into this but I can answer your questions:

1. The ad block let's google show the ads on your site.
2. Not really but you can by telling google what sites (domains) you don't want shown.
3. No, it works with any site, you don't have to be premium, but it needs to be a developed site before you get approved. You should have at least 20 posts on your site before applying with Google Adsense.

Hope this helps,
Grace

Hey Josh,

1) Not sure what you mean by this, no need to have ad block on to take advantage of the adsense program.
2) You have no control other than turning off/on gambling/adult ads. You put HTML code on your site and adsense fills the ad spots with ads of their choosing.
3) Adsense is completely separate from wealthy affiliate (so are all affiliate programs except the one here at WA) meaning you do not have to be a premium member here to join Adsense or affiliate programs related to your niche

Hope this helps

Hello Brok, thank you so much for answering my question and helping me out.
I don't understand the Adsense part where you can join Adsense without premium because in the blog verionca says"If you apply for a new Adsense account you will need your own domain. You can not apply for an Adsense account using a subdomain like siterubix". can you clarify this, please?
one more thing, about the fact that I have no control of the ads that show up on my website: I want to make sure that everything on my website is 100% legit, so how to stop scams from showing up?

Thanks!
Reply
brokwebb Premium
I guess if you want your website hosted here that is a true statement. I was meaning if you already have a website hosted somewhere else you can apply without being a premium member here so sorry about that confusion.

As others have mentioned you can exclude ads from certain sites but to make sure everything is 100% you'd have to wait for ads to show up, check them out, and then exclude them. Really there's not an easy way to only have 100% legitimate sites that you'd recommend when it comes to adsense.

That's why a lot of people skip ads and use affiliate marketing, where you can choose what sites/programs you link to and avoid linking to ones that are crap.

1. Veronica thought of a product to promote - natural colic product

library that addressed the topic of colic, in addition to the fact
of having real life experience as a mother of two children
yourself. Based on the collection of data or information from
Veronica's research findings, the data revealed the following.

3. Customer (Target Audience) was a:
a. Woman
b. Mother
c. Age 24 - 35
Leading to the development of an ordinary profile of a customer.

Now, it goes back to the question:

4. "What problem(s) did Veronica solve by offering the natural
colic product to her target audience or customer?
a. Assisted the mother with feeling good because she was
able to resolve her baby's problem.
b. Relief of pain and gas issues for the baby, resulting in a
much cheerful baby.
c. A reduction in stress for the entire family.
d. Increase in sales during the holidays to avoid having a
crying and unhappy baby and in return the family could
enjoy the company of other family members for the holiday.

That's how Veronica made money off the natural colic product.

Well explained Veronica. I enjoyed the read. Thank you.

So far I like what I'm seeing , there so many internet scams its not funny. In fact that is how I found Affiliate, I had received quite a lot emails about starting an online business, because of my research and they all promise the moon, but they were nothing more than just scams to cheat people out of their hard earned money. To make a long story short, one of the emails I got talk about the internet funnel system, so not knowing what that was or even if is was a real thing or a scam I type it in my search engine and article with the Affiliate link explaining that yes the internet funnel system is a scam and I was really interested in starting an online business to click here. So I did and now I am happy to say after months of searching I have believe I have finely found the real thing. Thank you Affiliate.

Guys, i reviewed twice the lesson 1 specifically on ways how to make money online. I have now my 6 free websites in Rubix and its waiting for my posts. While reviewing this again i am interested on "ADSENSE ADS SITE from Googles but it needs my own domain before i can enroll on this. I might transfer funds tomorrow morning in my prepaid card to avail this. However, before doing that, i decided to let this on standby mode tonight until tomorrow morning. My point is i will wait for any Wealthy Affiliates to read this and i am very happy to hear your comments/advises if you did the same decision before. Please dont hesitate to bring back my senses if i am too early/aggressive to do this. thanks.

GREAT ARTICLE,. The objective is to sel the solution and the product being the medium for wht it is that one is truly selling, or more than selling is helping people with. The idea is to help as many people as you can with a sincere solution that is cost effective as well and i think that combination will make many people happy while making some revenue at it! Good Luck to all!

A blog definitely is needed and one with traffic! I understand that building a steady and high traffic first is the first step before monetizing it. I understand that this lesson considers that one already has a blog with sufficient traffic, followers, so that these great tools that they mention here could be put into action and money could start trickling in or it might come in like a Tsunami!!!!!!
