Amazon book publishing can be a cost-effective and straightforward business model. Sign up first for an Amazon self-publishing account called Kindle Direct Publishing.
This platform allows you to publish a Kindle book and a paperback. ACX will enable you to publish an audiobook version.
You have two options: Hire a ghostwriter or write your book yourself. Upwork is a great freelancing platform to search for writers. Ghostwriting is a way to write your book. You have the option to publish it under your name or a pseudonym.
A book cover is also necessary. You can either ask someone to do it for you or design it yourself (Canva is a free designer that you can use.) Once Amazon has published your book, you will be able to utilize Amazon’s search engine and its advertising platform.
There are other options for marketing your book beyond Amazon. Amazon book publishing can be challenging to scale as you sell a low-ticket item. But, passive income can still bring in a few thousand dollars per month.

Years ago, I sold mainly college textbooks for college students at discount prices. That was when the fees were a lot smaller and the seller platform was free. Now, you have to pay to be seller, and they take huge chunk of the fees that made my profit margin drop. I got out because the the fees and costs ate up my profit, only worth a dollar or less. No thanks. Im glad I got out when I did.
I considered publishing my pony books with Kindle but I would make so little that it just isn't worth my time.
