Yes, I did learn something. I learned that the approach I was taking with the Keyword research was the same approach that you explained in this tutorial and I did get ranked on page one, for a few of my articles.

And, for the rest of my articles. I did not use the same approach and they are not ranked so, I have to agree with you tutorial. When, I first tried out this approach, I knew and understood I was taking a risk but, I was more focused on trying to see if it would work. And, it did.

You also confirmed that, just because the search and traffic results are low now, does not mean it wont pick up in the future. It is just a risk that we take. I was thinking that the search and traffic results could possibly pick up in the future but, was not sure. So, you confirmed my thoughts on that.

I also learned about two new websites that you mentioned moz tool and the newipnow so, thank you for that.

And, you also inspired me when you say that you went yearly, then you were able to learn and experiment. Now, today it sounds like everything is going great for you. So, that is awesome.

I have been thinking that I been moving to fast through my training but, I am not because, I am trying to learn and experiment I went yearly as well.

And, I am a 100% focused on learning how to master this. I have been experimenting as well. It is kind of like being a scientist. I think it is fun and amazing when I find a new trick.

Thank you for this awesome training, and I would be sure to share it with anyone who needs this.

Another question...

How can we come up with an in depth review about a product without having any access to what it contains?

We are all talking about providing facts which are based on real events, scenarios, or experience. But the challenge to most of us is how can we create an in depth review if we don't have access to the back office of the product?
Reply
MoritzS Premium
Either check out other reviews (but who knows if they really know the facts) or get the product.

Or base your review on the sales page, but then you should be honest in your article.

Too many people are writing fake reviews which can back fire sooner or later.

Hi,

I have had the same problem. What you can do is the following:
1. Go to the store and see if you can find the product there. Take notes of what the packaging says about the product. If a rep is there, ask them questions about the product. Warranty information etc.
2. Go to Amazon to see if they sell the product. Read what is said about it. Also, read the questions and reviews to gain more understanding about the product.
3. Go to the manufacturer's website and read what they say about the product. Also, read any reviews that might be there.

From these sources, you make a review of the product based on the knowledge you gained from the sources above.

Good luck.

George

This is the reason why I'm cautious about making a review about this product because I don't want to solely base my review off of my opinion and past experience. (Although this seem to be the same as those online courses we typically see on JVzoo and other affiliate websites)
Reply
shweetlife Premium
Reviewing products without using them can be done if you are open about it with your audience and leave the discussion open in your comment section... This is a great way to get your users to give their opinions and "create" content for you...

You are sharing your views and comparing / noting features... Raising your questions, concerns, expectations and looking for other peoples honest feedback... Trust me, people love to give their opinion... Does not mean that you have used the product. Be open about it though.

This is a great advice Marc! I havent thought about this and I think this is a brilliant idea to gain people's trust, attention, and to have more engagements :) Thanks!!

Most merchants who are actually selling the product will give their own review.
Its up to you to take that review and put your own spin on it.
The big online stores such as Amazon and eBy have reviews they allow you to use.

Just a quick question and thank you in advance to those who will answer...

Is this Moz Toolbar for free? I searched it and it seemed that they are offering a 30 day free trial and a monthly subscription of $149.

is there other toolbar that is as useful and as powerful as MOZ toolbar?

This is because Search Console has updated since this training, it's under Search Traffic > Search Analytics now if you want to look at what keywords you are ranking for.

Not crazy Irma. I can easily get 5,000 each and every day with a piece of software I use.
be aware though this doesn't mean they are buyers but it does give my site visibility with the search engines.
This of course means I get a higher rank and this means more people will see my listing on the SERPs.

Hey there, I don't really get your question, but my 2cents is that an opt-in box with a lead magnet is always great for lead generation. You can simply set it up and when traffic comes to your site, they can easily sign up...

Can you 'fetch' more than once? And also I am confused about the position on the google console. Does this have any thing to do with page rank on Google? Can you give me more info on what position is/does.

Thanks. Angela
Reply
ChrisGooden Premium
You can fetch as often as you want. There are some limits but I can't recall exactly what they are. It's like 50 times a day, or something equally irrelevant.
Reply
pamdemonium Premium
From what I understand, when one does a "fetch as Google", you're simply manually adding your URL onto Google's index, as opposed to waiting for Google to crawl your site -- which happens only ever so often.

So if you'd like for your site/specific page to be indexed quicker on Google's search results, then you can go and "fetch as Google".

Any more experienced member care to verify what I just said?

You mentioned to use only 1 affiliate link in your post. Does this mean only one product, or listing the link to the product you are promoting just one time?
Reply

Hey Angela.

I may have over emphasized that.

Basically, you do not want your posts flooded with links. If I compare four products, then I would normally only have four links in the post (one to each product.)

It's not a must, but try to keep affiliate links to a minimum.

Hope that this helps.

I want to ask this. You wrote: (page 10): "Make sure you are 200% sure that you will not have to go back and change anything BEFORE you publish your post."

What do you mean with it? And why it is 200% crucial?
Reply
shweetlife Premium
Hey Egon

Sorry for the delay. I seem to have missed a few questions over the last month.

Basically, you don't want to make changes (other than adding content / updating posts) after you have published, especially if your post is ranking.

You may end up removing or changing what is giving you the ranking in the first place. This could mean that you loose your position.

Hope that this make sense?

Cheers,

Hey Pam

It's tough for me to answer this for you as I don't have the product background, but here is what you need to consider...

Firstly, confirm your spelling (Just to make 100% sure ;)

Then, you know your niche market and your audience and if this is something that may get them excited...

You know if you have seen the hype building on social networks, forums / groups etc..

You know who the owner of the product is and if they have a history of successful products/ marketing campaigns... Or if their products hype only lasts a month or two...

Take all of this into consideration and if you feel that the product will take off, then go for it. Even if it's just a short 500 word review that you can update later once you see it taking off.

As always, new products are a gamble, but if they take off, they will drive a lot of traffic to your site.

Two reviews I did recently are driving between 30 and 70 views a day. Because they are new products, I had the same values as you <10 etc.

But I know the manufacturers are strong brands and this made me confident that I was not wasting my time.

Just takes a bit of trial and error sometimes. ;)

Hey Jimbo.

Thanks for the input. There is more to this one though ;)

Hello Pam. Its ok for the long term because no one is using it right now but don't discount it because you will easily rank on page one with it.

If you want lots of organic traffic then choose a keyword with a QSR under 50 and a high traffic number in the 100's and better still in the 1,000's..
Enjoy your Saturday.

Thank you all for all your advice! @Jim-Bo, @marcparsons, @Robert-A!

@Jim-Bo - The Article Power is 8.8 and PPC Power is 9.5 with this keyword. Just to share... But I understand what you mean about high Search + Traffic is essential too

@Marc - I get what you mean about it being a gamble!

@Robert - Yes, those were my thoughts! Regarding ranking on page 1...

Conclusion: I'm gonna try, and no matter what, if it doesn't work out the way I intend, it's fine. I've so much more content to produce anyway! More keywords to rank! Not gonna kill/blame myself for it...

Hey Ann and Rawl.

Updating content is good for bringing your old posts back to life... There is a but to it though.

It needs to be done right ;)

Ann, your website is still new, I would recommend moving forward by publishing new content and posts. You need to spend time on getting new content out there at the moment.... So that google will start to notice you, along with communities and people in your niche.

This way, in 6 months, a year or even 3 years time, you can come back and update your old posts when you are more comfortable with what effect it may have on your rankings.

If done wrong, updating your content can have a negative effect. There is more to it than meets the eye.

This is why Kyle recommends comments... Comments are a constant flow of fresh content to your posts... Google loves this.

You definitely do not want to change your post/page URL's. This will have a negative impact on what you have done so far.

As far as the outbound links, check out the links I left in the training to Jay's videos. He covers this quite in depth.

Keep focusing on adding what you learn to new content. The old content is there and should not be messed with after it is published.

How did you determine that the website had a 404 error Marc?
Reply
Cathy Ling Premium
You can find out from your Google Webmaster Tools under Crawl Error.

The specific link I think you are referring to was in the search engine results. It looked strange so I clicked on it and it gave me the 404. (Missing link)

Ok. Thank you. I though you could have seen it just by looking at the Moz report.

This is totally possible. I will write more quality content. I know this will work for sure!

10 February 2017, I have monthly website visitors = 100 000

10 February 2017, I have daily Website Visitors = (100 000 / 30) = 3,333

10 July 2016, I have daily Website Visitors = (3,333 / 3) = 1111

10 April 2016, I have daily Website visitors = (1111/3) = 370

10 March 2016, I have daily Website Visitors = (370/3) = 123

when I click on the keyword difficulty that comes with MOZ bar sometimes it didn't give me a percentage just give me this sign (-%) any advice?

I get that, too - hopefully we can get some help?

Still didn't receive any answer, I hope it's very important issue.

Could be your network connection or the moz server that is slow... I get this as well.

resetting the moz search profile once or twice seems to do the trick for me.

Remember... the beauty of WA is that there are 1000's to pose your question to... It will take individuals a while to respond as 1 person answering 100's of questions is not easy...

but 1000's of people answering 1 question is...

Jump into chat, add your question in the top search bar... add a blog... You have soo many resources at your finger tips... Take advantage of it.

Not sure. Wondering if the negative % is saying something? I will be following this to find out the correct answer.

What determines "no page authority"?
Reply
JasonGB Premium
It's usually age and trust of the website
How many quality links to your page
New websites will have no page or domain authority until they prove to add value have quality links and plenty of traffic and shares

I'm always feeling like there is so much to learn and to know to actually get ranked on Google. Have had some exceptional feedback from those here who have been around the block a few times, but still not ranking on Google???
Reply
shweetlife Premium
Hey Wayne. All I have to go on is your two siterubix domains... First thing I would do is change to your own domain as subdomains are not as easy to rank.
Reply
EhabAmin Premium
is 13% or 15% in keyword difficulty panel OK? or it should be 1% as you mentioned in your example?
Reply
shweetlife Premium
you need to compare your authority to your competitions authority for the keyword... if i understand the question correctly?
Reply
EhabAmin Premium
My domain authority still 1 & the competitors around 13 and 22 and the keyword difficulty is 13%
Reply
EhabAmin Premium
Yeah but my domain authority is 1 that means i can't use that technique untill i raise my domain authority? I don't know what is compitition authority where is this in MOZ bar? Thanks for your help

How do you increase your page authority?
Reply
shweetlife Premium
Domain authority comes with time and is influenced by several factors. Check out my response to the comments below. I have left a few links for further info.

As far as ranking with 1 or zero DA. It's not impossible, but makes it more challenging. Still apply what you have learned to get the easiest possible ranking once your DA improves...

Remember though, it is your evergreen content that will mostly benefit your DA. Get social at network forums so that people know your are in the niche. Provide quality and fresh content. Your DA will improve.

Marc,

Going through your training. I have only been doing this for about 9 days. I am currently on course 5 lesson 5. I have been indexed and according to my console I have submitted 22 and indexed 11. Now for the analytics. I have 15 impressions, 0 CTR, and 68.1 avg. position. I think that even though my CTR is 0 right now I am progressing pretty well for only doing this for 9 days. What do you think? I am going to continue with your training in between my other training and my website building. Multi tasking here I come!

Hey Kristena

Your website is looking fantastic for being so new... Was not expecting that.

I personally would not worry too much about your stats right now... focus on completing the certification courses and then come back to your stats... It's a bit too early at the moment.

You really are doing great tho! Well done!

Thank you! I was actually quite surprised at the progress I had made on this myself. I think I have found what I should have been doing this whole time with my life. I used to love to write when I was in school, but I never made anything of it.

I have finished the courses, now I just need to get some traffic and get my sites ranked higher. My rankings dropped yesterday. I actually write about 4 or 5 posts (all my posts coincide with one another) in one day and then I take a day or two of not writing anything, just researching everything or helping out here. It gives my brain a chance to think of ideas for my content.

Last night, I actually thought of another website idea, but I am not going to start on it yet, don't want to spread myself too thin.

Anyway, Thanks for checking it out for me.

Hey Marc,
Thanks for the great training. I am looking forward to being able to share some of my learnings, as well. But I am not quite at 90 days.

I noticed the same thing about the stress of the monthly premium membership fee so before my full payment of 47 was due in my second month I did a Black Friday promo for yearly. Great Tip!

I did learn some stuff today and I went through from start to finish the first time. I am sure I will learn more as I go back through working the process over the next couple of days.

I did learn some stuff about my site already that is definaitely helpful.

Thanks Again,
Stephen

Marc do you recommend if I have not been fetching my post in webmaster tools that I go back and do that. Or does it not matter if they are already indexed?
Reply
shweetlife Premium
Hey Stephan.

I wouldn't mess around with what is already indexed. Focus on new.

Thanks for your thoughts and input. I am looking forward to your training and to hear about your results.
