Like what we learned in Wealthy Affiliate bootcamp, must find your niche first. Before you start to search your niche, you have to ask yourself for few questions:
- What are you interested in?
- Do people spend money on it?
- Are there products to promote?
What are you interested in?
There are many topics you can search for, let me list out the top 4 categories that might have potential:
- Hobbies (Cooking, Reading, Jogging)
- Passions (Fitness, Solution, Help)
- Problem (Communication, Framing, Home Repairs)
- Trends (Yoga, Affiliate Marketing, Home Schooling)
For example i interested on sporting, so i decided to choose fitness. Remember once you pick your interest, make sure you'll stick with it.
So in future to success with your niche, you must consistently & be involved in the niche and its community.
Do people spend money on it?
Next, you will need search on google or others search engine provider to find out is your niche have people spend money on it, i have collect fews from affiliate bootcamp too:
- Google Search
- Google Alert
- Yahoo Search
- ehow.com
- Advertisers
- Magazines
- Books
- Associations/Groups
You can find all results on the niche you select
Are there products to promote?
After that you can start check is there products to promote related to your niches, there are 2 types of product you can search for which are:
- Infoproduct (Ebook, Books) with information like HOW TO
- Physical product (Tools, CDs, Materials)
For example if your niche is fitness, those product would be how to keep fit on 3 days programs, or Ebook for What to eat to loss weight, or CDs for teaching you how to slim.
