If you're into sales, you will understand the apathy caused by an abandoned sale.

There's no business that doesn't experience an abandoned cart; the key to success is reducing it to a bare minimum.

While there is no proven method that guarantees a 100% conversion rate, there are ways to improve it. Based on extensive research in this area, I've come up with a few tricks that can help improve your conversion rate.

1 - Listen to Your Audience

Most often than not, people feel eloquence is the most common trait of good communicators.

There's a reason humans have twice as many ears as their mouths. And my guess is that we're all supposed to listen twice as much as we speak.

This same logic should apply to businesses of all forms and sizes. Brands need to listen more to their customers through all available channels.

For instance, for a prospect that gets to the point of checkout but never ends up making any purchase, that's a tacit message being passed across to the merchant.

Established channels for receiving feedback from your customers include:

I - Online Surveys – This should help you capture vital details about your customers. You can obtain their views or responses to your brand.

If your budget doesn't allow you to engage an agency for the survey, you can run the survey yourself. Survey Junkie is one of the platforms that you can use for organizing your survey.

II - Phone Call – Phone calls to randomly-selected customers can do a lot of good. Or you could segment your customers into groups, so you can ask each group particular questions.

III - Online Chat – Online chats enable instant communication between your in-house team and customers.

Through chats, you can access instant feedback or request for feedback through well-documented forms. To learn more about your customers, listen to what they are saying and even what they're not saying.
