My morning routine has become sacred to me! Honestly! It may be strange, but if you don't have a routine, then if and when you decide to start one, you'll understand what I mean.

I started it about 6 weeks ago. I was NOT a morning person. Waking up at 6am ON PURPOSE had never crossed my mind. But one day, I decided I needed to start a routine. A daily routine for my business. Little did I know that I would start with a morning routine that would turn me from a MOMBIE to a delightful ray of sunshine in the morning!!

Sounds funny, but it's no joke! It's the absolute truth. And I CHALLENGE YOU to start a morning routine to see for yourself ;-)

APP SUGGESTION: Fabulous - a wonderful FREE routine app that'll figure everything out for you including giving you suggestions and some great little videos and audios for exercises and meditation. SWEET!!!

My kick ass morning routine is currently ONLY being done on weekdays. I like to be able to have the freedom of sleeping in on the weekend. But who knows, maybe that'll change one day.

The graphic above is pretty straight forward in telling you exactly what I do. What it doesn't mention is that the stretch and exercise routine are videos on the Fabulous app. I've noticed a change in my body in a short period of time. They aren't long or difficult exercises, but even a little can make a change!

There are even meditation audios that are great for helping to keep me in check so my mind doesn't wonder off.

I created a vision book - like a vision board but in book form and also acts as a gratitude journal. It helps me with visualisation and gratitude. I write in it every weekday morning. After I write my affirmations, I read what I wrote out loud.

The during the be grateful time, I look at the pictures I glued in at the front of the book and I read the affirmations below out loud too.

I'm very big on supplements because I don't eat well enough. Even if I did, I don't think that the food we eat has enough natural nutrients and I want to be as healthy as possible from the inside out. Sosupplements and vitamins are a big part of my daily routine every day of the week.

Eating a healthy breakfast is also very important to me. I LOVE TO EAT!!!! And so breakfast now includes one of the following:

  • one slice of toast with avocado and a "fried" egg white sprinkled with chia seeds
  • a spinach and egg white omelet wrap with avocado
  • a slice of bread with peanut or nut butter, banana slices and sprinkled with chia seeds.

YUMMY!!!

What do you think so far? Are these things you would consider doing every day? If you already have a routine, tell us about it.

I think sharing our routines with each other can help us adjust what we are currently doing to and possibly make improvements where necessary.

Hi Liz,
Thanks for sharing your daily routine! I've tried to have one but I struggle with getting up early because I go to sleep so late, since I have a hard time falling asleep. I'd like to learn about EFT and I'll download the app Fabulous to see how it is.

Is the Fabulous app only for Android? I don't find it on the App store.

Thank you, Liz, for sharing a very thorough tutorial about havng a routine for online business success. It is very handy for us who are both working onlne and offline. I still work 2 to 3 days a week on my nurse job plus have to do school runs and attend school activities every now and then on my days off. I really have to establish a routine or to do list. that will help me organise on what to do during the days that I'm off from my day job. Your tutorial has helped me a lot!
All the best in all that you do!

Hey Liz, your morning routine sounds really good, I must admit, the breakfast recipes did actually make my mouth water, starting the day off so well is the best way to have a good day. I used to love doing yoga in the morning but then I found out about the 5 Tibetan rites, there are loads of videos about them on you tube, and the meditation in the morning is very important to me.

Thank you so very much for sharing this information with us:-))Steph

Liz,
It sounds like you have developed a great morning routine. I also get up at 6:00, or earlier, just naturally. I've always been a morning person; it's staying up late that I find hard. I also meditate, stretch and work out from 7:00-8:00. I used to take a lot of supplements but stopped about a year ago since my diet is pretty healthy. So far I don't feel the difference from not taking supplements but I know alot of people swear by them..

This is neat to see Liz. I really need to get in a routine of getting to bed earlier on weekdays. I have a hard time getting to bed as early as I should. I work a regular job 5 days a week and the evenings seem packed with chores that I can't do during the day. So after all that I really want to be able to relax a bit. If I followed the schedule that I should I would basically get off work, do the chores like grocery shopping, making dinner, taking care of pets, plants, house etc. and then immediately start getting ready for bed. It is just depressing!

If I take my adrenal support pills it really helps. They help fix your cortisol levels. In many people, stress messes with your cortisol and the body produces too much late in the day. This keeps you awake late into the evening and you also don't sleep well. Then you are tired the next day. If I take the supplement several hours before bed it helps me relax and sleep well and then be more awake the next day. My doctor recommended them and they are amazing. They also cured my lower back pain! Adrenal fatigue can cause this! They help with night sweats also as high cortisol at night also raises body temperature.

I just need to make this a set routine! I should make smoothies more often too!

Wow!! You're a busy woman. It really isn't easy to be able to do everything yourself. I hope your husband helps out with some chores. Would take some of the pressure off you. But if not, just try to rearrange your time and only do some things on the weekends (like shopping and cleaning) and make extra food each night so you have left overs ( I do this so I don't have to cook every night).

Also, try EFT for the cortisol and sleep issues.

It's not easy, but I know you'll figure it out ;-)

My husband is wonderful about chores. He actually does most all the dishes, cleans the aquarium every week, mows the lawn in the summer and cooks sometimes! I can't complain there. We split the bills so I pay the bulk of the credit cards but he pays the gas, electric, water, cable, trash...

I love having leftovers!

Absolutely love it. Thanks so much for sharing. I feel like ive been trying to get the 'perfect' routine for years now but i have just accepted there is no perfect as life changes all the time and so does my routine. At the moment with 2 very young babies i am not getting much ' work' done at all but have managed to get a good steady morning routine. There are a few things in your routine that i would love to add to mine more regularly such as the excercise, celebrating and supplements.

That's awesome!! I know a routine is difficult to stick to when you have kids. I actually just figured out that I can bust out a post a day even if my son is around! He was off school last week and since it was my first attempt at my work routine I tried it and it was ok. He's 3 so he's a little more independent than last year. Kiddies also make a difference.

I'm sure you'll be able to add those three things to your routine. They don't take very long - especially if you do the Fabulous app exercises. Very helpful ;-)

Good luck!
