There are times when you'd like to return to a specific blog or training at Wealthy Affiliate, but unless you bookmark its location there's a good chance you'll lose track of it!

Internal bookmarking system at WA

There is an internal bookmarking system here at Wealthy Affiliate. Carson explains it well at https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/carson/blog/a-new-...

That internal bookmarking system served me well - until the number of pages I was trying to save extended past the bottom of my browser page. I found that I occasionally had trouble scrolling down to access bookmarks at the bottom of the list.

I found I had to resort to conventional bookmarking, using the bookmarking system built into Firefox. All browsers have the capability to save an organized list of your favorite sites, and should be able to accommodate your needs.

You can bookmark comments too!

I tend to run on and on when responding to questions, so I like to be able to reference my answers later, for a couple of reasons:

  • I may use the material in the answers as fuel for a blog post - I have comments run to 700 words!
  • I may want to refer others to my previous answer - so I don't feel the need to write another lengthy response if the same question comes up.

You may find you'd like to bookmark a comment of interest, especially if it's somewhere in the middle of hundreds of comments on a page that Kyle or Carson made available to the entire membership.

Regardless of the reason, there is a way to bookmark comments - even if it is a bit more work. Skip forward to about 1:38 in the video above to see how it's done.

Best of luck in your efforts!

Dennis

Thank you for the info on 3 ways to bookmark. Hopefully that will keep me from having a harder time tracking things as I have read so many insightful and helpful tips.

Greetings Dan!

The challenge for me here has been to try to wrap my head around all the information that's available. Since I haven't been able to do that, the next best thing was to find a way to access it again when I needed it - and bookmarks of one kind or another help immensely!

Best of luck in your efforts!

Thank you again so much. I can't believe all the wonderful instruction I have come across during my very first week as a premium member. Bits and pieces come together and then I stumble upon some more. It seems to be never ending. Is this the "Neverending Story"? If it is, I'm excited to be aboard.

My bookmarks here on wa will not scroll down when the blog is to short, so when I want to look through my bookmarks I go to the give and take comments thread, that one is long enough:) And I can scroll down the whole row:) I think I am going to follow your example for firefox

That's what happened to me Loes.

If the page was too short, I had to change to a lengthier page to see all my bookmarks. After a few such episodes, I remembered I could simply use the browser's bookmarking facility!

That is certainly a pain - I wonder though if Support can fix that as it seems to be WA specific and not an individual PC/software issue.

hhhmmmmmm....

ROCK ON!

I used to be of the same mind Eric.

If I had a problem, I'd find a solution that actually fixed the problem.

Now I'm OK with finding a workaround and getting on with it ;)

Be careful Mark!

You're dangerously close to an infinite bookmarking loop!

I'm on a Windows 10 perpetual reboot Dennis, I can't get off!!

Perhaps I should rephrase that......what the heck, it's past the watershed here, no kids up now!!

The possible responses to your comment boggle the mind Mark.

As I write, 6 different responses are arguing for control of my hands to find their way to the Internet.

I'll get back as soon as there's a clear winner ;)

Perhaps this will help?

Thanks for the link Dennis, I haven't actually gone for 10 yet but I've (here we go again) bookmarked the site for when I do...hahaha

I'd forget the possible responses Dennis, they don't bear thinking about!

Dennis, this is so useful to know, I am also at the moment running out of space in the internal WA bookmarks! Running off the page. Thanks for this. I will give a shot for sure.

Hi Darwyn -

All it takes is a little nudge to remember what you already knew!

Great Training Dennis!

At least I now know for sure that some of my trainings have been bookmarked by you. I saw one of my training tutorials in your Firefox list. Awesome! :-)
