But if you don't know what a screenshot is now, you are about to find out.

A screenshot is like taking a photograph of your screen at any given moment in time. This is sometimes called a screen capture or screen image.

You've probably seen many of them in various training courses and blogs around WA and maybe even out on the internet or even in your workplace. Screenshots are very common and very useful to show or explain things to others.

What is Not a Screenshot

Any image that you get for free or pay for. Of course you could find screenshots that someone else has taken and get them free or even pay for them but that is the only exception.

The image below is NOT a screenshot but rather a CC0 image that I picked up on the web. CC0 = Creative Commons Zero and is a reference to images that are free in every way shape and form to use personally or commercially. More on that another time.

Interestingly enough the image above is a cartoonish image of a screenshot. See how I kept it real for you. :-)

What Is a Screenshot

The image below IS a screenshot that I just took of my screen while writing this training class.

It does like strange in this context as the screenshot I used above is actually of the screen I am working on right now. See, we CAN stop time in a sense. :-)
