Make use of a popular post widget, you can create it by yourself by adding a menu to your sidebar called "Popular posts" or write your own HTML code. You can also make use of a plugin. The plugin I use gives also the amount of clicks on that particular post. When you want this activated on your website with a plugin, start asap, the counting starts the moment you have added it.

This one is made with the plugin.

Plugin used: Top 10, by Ajay D'Sousa

This one I made myself by writing the code on a test post and copy and paste it into a widget.

Amount of plugins

You might wonder how many plugins I am using on my website, because of the warning about it. I know, you have to choose between which one you really need, and which ones you can live without. My website is a training website for creating awesome content. And I do blog about different plugins too, so, the best thing for me is to use those plugins to inform my visitors about the existence.

For that matter I have now 33 plugins.

It's wise to check every plugin on a test website.

Thank you, Loes! I took note of several plugins and I will apply them to different websites I have. I tried the Ditty News Ticker, but it did nothing for me after it was activated, and it did not offer me any settings to work on ... or maybe it was not compatible with my website ... so I deleted it. I will check for other plugins, because that one seems like a really good one to have.
Thanks for all the tips!

Hi Loes. I tried the Navigation Bar but it doesn't show on the top of my page (or anywhere). Does it matter if you have a secondary menu as well as a primary menu? My secondary menu is at the top of my header (and using GeneratePress Premium).

Thanks,
Mary Ann

Hi Loes. This tool did not work for me so I ended up using the Easy Notification Bar. Bonus if you are using GeneratePress Premium - it goes right into the custom settings.

Thanks again for all your tips.

Glad you found something else, I just wonder, do you use an ad or pop up blocker by any chance?

I think I do use a popup blocker but this notification bar would be 'fixed' at the top so would that make a difference?

I don't know, it's the only thing I can think of why it's not working

I use the plugin "WP Gallery Custom Links" by Johnogg, to be able to make evey image in the gallery seperately clickable.
This plugin still works on my website but it is "retired"
