It may surprise to find out that the most common mistakes made during content creation are not typos. It actually has nothing to do with grammar, paragraph length, or word length.
I'm not saying these areas aren’t significant or that they shouldn't be avoided. I'm talking about mistakes that affect the impact of marketing campaigns and prevent firms from reaching their marketing goals.
I'm quite certain that one or two of these mistakes will surprise you. That said; let's get into the business of the day which is helping you identify the common content creation mistakes.
1 - Not Knowing Your Audience Well Enough
Have you ever seen or watched anyone shadowbox? The person may seem like a real boxer with tightly clenched fists that are beating into the air, hitting no one in particular.
That's how it is with creating content for an audience that you know very little about. You keep dishing out content upon content without attracting the right audience.
Content creators need to work out accurate data about their target audience, which can only be obtained from a user persona. User persona gives you such details as demographics, location, interests, pain points, and motivations of your target audience.
If you create content based on these details you're likely to achieve greater success with your content marketing campaigns.
