Hi there guys!

Here is a question that I would like to get some opinions on:

If you have 2 or even more websites that are targeting completely different niches, like

If a person got enough knowledge about different things, it´s no problem to work with many niches, I for example got many different, hobbies I got knewledge about and even in my job I got different niches :)

Thomas

Hi Thomas.

Do you have a google+ account targeting more than one niche?

What if you create business pages for each niche, wouldn't that be better for controlling the followers?

How could you promote a google+ business page with the same efficientsy as you can do with your personal profile? You can't really circle people as a business page can you??

How does others here in the community cope with multiple niches?

Hear is a WA blog post I created 2 months ago that provides a Google Plus link to 31 animated gifs that show you how to use Google Plus. This will answer many questions you may have.

I have 2 Google + accounts because they are in 2 different "businesses" Now with my Google + account I do have all my niches in there and I wish I would have broken them up like Neil Little said below. Mainly, because with all of them in one account then to me I don't look like an "authority" in one. So, I plan on going back and doing one for each niche and keep them separate. Even though it may seem like more work.

Some you can keep together if they are similar. But I created separate ones back when G+ first arrived. But don't do it if it's going to give you too much work to do, that can be a waste of your time.

Hi.

I can understand that you don't look like an "authority" if you write about two completely different niches, but then again isn't google+ actually an social engagement platform?

Shouldn't you be able to talk about different things in there, like you do on facebook and twitter?

How about creating a business page, and try do keep your niche related things there, and then try to get people to join the business pages in stead?

Or is having more than one profile on google+ the only option??

Others wanna join the discussion?

As much as it is true you don't need separate G+ Accounts for you Niches.
I do have separate accounts because for me it makes my life easier and keeps each G+ Account Niche specific because I set up Gmail Accounts for each website.
But it's up to you.

Hi there. Thank you for your opinion.

Already we have two different answers as to which we should have one or more accounts in google+. :)

I understand that this is up to me, but I'd still like to hear what the majority thinks is best practice.

I'm happy with having my accounts separate because it works for me.
I know that you can have different circles I have that as well but because each of my niches are so far removed from each other I keep them separate.
It works for me.

No, you do not create a new Google+ account per niche. You only need one account. I have 3 different websites and all are under one Google+ account.

As far as Google+ circles, I created a Natural Health circle, a Video Games circle, and an Internet Marketing circle. Those are my 3 niche websites. I then join like-minded Google+ Communities in those particular niches and then post my relevant content in those communities. When people in those communities +1, comment, and/or share my post, I begin to follow them from the respective circle that I created. So now if they follow me back they will go into the appropriate circle.

I explain how this works at the bottom of my blog post (see link below) in the sections, "HOW TO BUILD A TARGET AUDIENCE" and "BUILD YOUR SOCIAL AUTHORITY"

Thanks for this elaborate answer.

I like the way you handle this, it makes total sense. I have been thinking about this a lot lately, and this seems like a really good method.

I guess there will be more people here with opinions about this, and I look forward to hear more about the pros and cons about multiple accounts in google+.

Using Google+ is simple and both Kyle and Google recommends that you use one account. Multiple accounts is adding more work that is not necessary. That is why Google gives you as many types of circles that you can create.

One account, multiple circles within that one account, simple to manage. Multiple accounts will just give you multiple workload and IMO that is not efficient.
