What Is Google Search Console? Is It Not What Is Google Webmaster Tools
Introducing The NEW Google Search Console
Google is the biggest search engine on the internet by far, it is therefore no wonder that they have revamped their Webmaster Tools and renamed it the NEW Google Search Console.
Google Search Console was launched circa 2015, but Google have been running Beta Tests for a limited number of users recently for their revamped NEW Google Search Console.
EMail Invites From Google
Have you noticed in the last few days that you've received an email from Google inviting you to make use of the Google Search Console for any or all of your websites?
As you can see Google is really wanting their users to try out the new platform to make sure you stay on top of your game as a Webmaster.
New And Improved Features
Seems there are a few new features such as:
1/ Search Performance Report
2/ Index Coverage Report
3/ Monitoring AMP Performance
4/ On-Site Job Postings
Since this is all still in the rollout phase, the NEW Console and the Current Console will be available side-by-side with a navigation bar between the two so you can toggle back and forth.
Overall the main improvement of the platform is that website errors can now be easily communicated and there is a lot more transparency as Google makes more of the performance data available than before.

I read something yesterday from Google that said they were sill populating the data. Guess we'll find out eventually.
I have not even heard of Google Search Console, or have forgotten about it, whichever came first.
I JUST got an email from Google about it.

The next thing I saw when I opened WA is Jay's Live Webinar, which will be all about this.
Well, there is no data whatsoever for my website. Not sure if this is so for everyone. I will be investigating this and from what I know now, the user must choose which pages will be indexed. I would have thought all this would have carried over. No indexed pages for my website? Something's not right or I just don't understand the program yet.

I was thinking something along these lines would occur... there are always 'baby teething pains' in anything new until it is tweaked.
