Are you struggling to understand Wealthy Affiliate because your mother tongue is not English?

I'd like to Pay It Forward to you and offer my assistance to help you understand English better and this will in turn help you progress and understand Wealthy Affiliate better.

My flare for languages is a work in progress, and no, I cannot speak all of them, however, there are few that I can speak and understand fluently. Others I just understand the basics and listen hard to try and make out the words and challenge myself to figure out what is being said to see if I can understand it before I go to Google Translate! :-)

So, if you are having difficulty and are frustrated, send me a message, or comment below and I'll do my best to help you according to my ability!

If you like this post, please remember to click on the green Like This button, and to earn more in WA, click on the blue Facebook Like button at the top of the page! Look forward to hearing from you soon! :-)

UPDATE!

14 July 2015

I've started creating the English Courses, so take a look and tell me what you think! I am very aware of the fact that there are no sounds to access, I have to work that out still, unless someone can assist me with this.

Great initiative Edu! I'm Dutch and also speak Indonesian language, so if you ever need assistance in those languages, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Tot ziens / sampai jumpa / see you around,
Desmond

Question: where can I find the blue Facebook Like button at the top of the page?

It's on the right hand side just under the icons at the top of the page. Originally my heading was too long, so I had to delete some of it, but now I am looking at it and it's there.

Let me know if you still can't see it.

Thank you so much for your offer to help! Will definitely call on your expertise!

You're most welcome Edu!

Unfortunately I still can't see the Facebook Like button, only the Google+ button. Desmond

Here is a screenshot to help you locate the FB Button. Hope it helps!

Looking at your screenshot Edu, I'm able to see the FB Button as you described. However, on my old Windows XP desktop screen it's still invisible - see my attached image. But, lucky me, on my Windows 8.1 notebook screen it's visible. So, please note that XP users (still quite a few in my opinion) can't locate your FB Button. Good thing to know!

Thanks a lot,
Desmond

Absolutely wonderful feedback! Thanks for pointing this out! Great to know.

I can see a "mini community" evolving here at WA, those who are kind enough to offer their services to others who's first language is not English but who would really like to join us and build their own site.

Go to it good people!

We Are The World!

Mark

That is not a bad idea Mark! I like that!

Only sprung from the idea you started earlier today...make it happen!!

I did and I've PM'd you! :-)

Have checked it out Robert, amazing how you flung it together so quickly!!
Brilliant stuff
Mark

That is nice of you,my worry is, will you have enough time? learnig in Wa is time conuming

totally agree! i've been here only 2 weeks and feeling like there's so much more and not enough time.

I just go where there is help needed and that's the Pay It Forward theme of WA - and I make time to apply the training and create my website, blogs and create training. All of these are part of my now, full-time-job - self-employed at WA! :-)

are you earning enough doing that?

I will be soon enough!

Isn't there a tool to translate to another language? I've been on websites with offer different language options.

Yes, I use Google Translate. There are many others, but that doesn't always have the personal touch that so many others here at WA receive first hand in English. I wanted to be able to offer that personal touch!

Haven't used any translate tools but I wouldn't be surprised if stuff comes out sounding robotic....could be wrong though!

that is absolutely true also if you are not familiar with the language you could choose the wrong phrase and offend people!

Let's concentrate on the positive side and make the most of what we have. If you have a better tool, we'll be glad to implement it.

My first language is German but I've lived in England since I got married nearly 45 years ago and my English is fluent. So, if you need any help to help someone whose first language is German, then let me know and I'll try to help. I can spot 'Germanisms' very easily.

Wow! This is a great response to what I'm trying to achieve here! Thank you so much for your offer to help! Will definitely include you in the project.

That is a very generous offer! Thanks a lot. Spanish is my first language and I also speak Italian ( I have forgotten most of my French :( ) . Some help with proofreading is always welcome once in a while. Blessings!!

Hilda

I am so overwhelmed at the response to my blog! I was trying to reach out to help others and I've been humbly encouraged by the offers of others to ALSO help in this endeavour! Thank you soooo sooo much!

Thats great Wendy. You can take WA into new territories.

Thanks Simon! Your encouragement is always so meaningful to me and I appreciate it more than you know!

My language skills are restricted to English and 'je parle francais un petit peu' (I'm not sure I even spelled that correctly). That's a very generous offer. ~Marion

Thank you Marion! Your endorsement is so encouraging! Thanks for being a great support! Mind you, English is so vast and the more the merrier! We can then receive a lot more input when we aren't sure about the nitty gritty! Will definitely call on you! :-)

I'm better at fixing the English that English speaking people write. Spelling and grammar and all that stuff. :) I have to use Google's translation website for other languages.

Sadly, like a majority of linguistically lazy Britons, English is my only language so thank goodness it is so widely used and accepted ;-)

I'm sure your skills will be in command though so well done for offering your services.

Mark

Thank you Mark! I see such a need out there to make those people who's mother tongue is NOT English, just as prosperous in their endeavours at WA as we who's mother tongue is English.

That's a fantastic thing to do, there should be no bar to anybody who wants to come to WA including the fact that their English may not be perfect.
Well done to you!
Mark

Nein, ich sprechen nicht Deutsch!! ;-) Oui, je parle Francais! Eu vorbesc Romaneste etc etc. But as my mother tongue is English - I am not your target market here! I think this is great though so thought I would pop by to say so!! :)

Ah, but Sarah, your help with French would be very valuable!

Oh well it's a little rusty these days - AND happy to help in whatever way I can!!

Thanks Sarah!
