SiteContent Draft Publishing Non-Feature

One Of The Features In SiteContent Is To Publish Straight To Your Website

Now while this is a great feature and I absolutely use it, I become frustrated when I am not able to tweak the post in Draft Mode in WordPress before publishing it.

There are features not appearing as options within SiteContent that are sometimes crucial before publishing a post or page to the website.

Is there a possibility to have the Draft option added to SiteContent?

This, guaranteed, would be used a lot more than the Publish button and would increase the use of SiteContent within WA.

Or am I missing a hidden Draft feature in SiteContent?

Looking forward to your comments and answers!

I would like that feature as well I stopped using SiteContent because of the lack of publishing as a draft. Also, there is no way to embed video or scripts in SiteContent.

Thank you for your additional input regarding video and/or scripts. Yes, it is a pity the Draft Mode feature isn't included, let's hope there will be an update that includes it.

I have the same issue with SiteContent. Although I enjoy the platform and continue to use it, I'm concerned that my posts are published before they are completed in terms of SEO, particularly.

Thanks for raising this issue, Edu.

This is exactly my concern too Valerie.
I'm really hoping Kyle picks up on this blog and gives us some feedback :-)

I agree with you. I don't use site content for that reason. If I have to go to Wordpress to fix things, I don't see the point. It's easier to just write the article using Wordpress.

Quite agree, it sort of negates using SiteContent, which I don't want to stop using as there are some beneficial features that aren't in WP - so let's keep up the interaction hopefully an update will come from our feedback to Kyle and Carson.

This is interesting, tend to read the copy tree or four times before I publish, then a day or so alter will go to my site and have yet another read, if need be can add or subtract content that I do not like my going into edit on the page. For me it would be a luxury be not essential.
Are we not advised to revisit our posts occasionally and update them, just another thought. Please note I am not saying that the idea of a draft is a bad one, just how I cope.

Your feedback is appreciated and your method is fine. Thanks for giving us your input.

You are welcome.

That would be an awesome feature. You are right...as I see the responses that many go to WordPress and edit then update to make appearance of their articles better.

I like this suggestion...

Thank you for stopping by to comment Bob!
Glad to see that there are others who feel the same way.
Let's hope Kyle can help us here :-)

Yes, I hope so. 👍

Interesting suggestion!
I hadn’t thought about it but can see how it would definitely make the transition easier from Sitecontent to Wordpress.
Thanks for sharing the thoughts.

Much appreciate your confirmation - it definitely will make a huge difference.

Great suggestion. I have also been publishing and then going quickly to edit on the WordPress platform.

Seems a lot of us do that and it seems like an unnecessary step if it can go straight to Draft not Publish.

That is a great suggestion! I hit publish in site content. Then, I go immediately to Wordpress and move it back to draft.

Thanks for confirming your processes too.
Hopefully there can be some update to this suggestion?! :-)

I`ve not used this as yet and didn`t know there would be differences, so thank you for being informative, most helpful.

You're most welcome Linda.

I have also found there are things not in the sitecontent that I would like. At first I was not happy with the new wordpress platform for writing site content - the guttenberg, I preferred the classic but now having used it frequently I LOVE it.. there are sections that I can highlight with colour, to add emphasis to that section and make it easier for the reader. I have not found this feature in site content. I suppose I could write in site content and tweak it in gutenberg. I do like the goal setting in sitecontent.. Thanks for this blog, got me thinking !

Glad to hear the blog inspired some food for thought. Here's to your great blogging success!
