SiteComments 2.0 Glitches

Since the introduction of the new SiteComments 2.0 update, there has been a significant rise in activity in the comments department which is great to see. However, we need to know how to provide solutions to the SiteComments Glitches.

I'm Not Interested

I have edited my interests in the settings that are related to gaming and I really am not interested in reviewing zombie games or shoot 'em up. But I still get them as a website to comment on, now I get penalised with the percentage skipped rate percentage if I decide to click on the 'I'm Not Interested' button - is this fair? Has anyone else had this problem?

Already Commented On That Website

The other problem I have is that I thought someone had plagarized someone else's review when it was exactly the same review, so I scrolled down to see if I had already commented on this website's review. Sure enough there was my comment amongst the comments.

How is it possible that if the system knows I've commented on that particular page of that website that I still get it in the queue and yet again, I'll be penalized because I can't comment again on the same page, and if I click on the 'I'm Not Interested' button, the ratio percentage will go up again!?

Does anyone have any ideas how to solve this or are these glitches that need to be sorted out?

I don't know what to say but maybe Site Support can help out with these issues. I know that some of the members have been having problems with Site Comments. I just am not sure what was done about the glitches but they must have not cleared up.

Mary

I don't have a solution, but I can side with you. We may need to alert someone from the tech dept. I received a mixed message from Site Comments. I received a message saying I couldn't comment on any more websites for various reasons, then received a message saying congratulations on having over 80% approval rating on my comments. What is going on?

Looks like we are both looking for answers.

All the best,

Diane

Hi, Diane.
Same here.

100% Approval Rate
0% Skip rate

When trying to offer any more comments, received the same type of message that you reference.

Frustrating.

Paul.

Hi Paul, I am able to make comments again, maybe there was some kind of glitch. Is everything good on your end?

All the best,

Diane

Hi, Diane.
I'm glad things worked out for you.

I'm still in stuck mode. I'll give it a bit more time to see if it works itself out before contacting support.

Take care.

Paul.

Good Idea, if it hasn't corrected itself already.

All the best,

Diane

Thanks for the share

I haven't experienced this problem but I had issues before even getting comments and the ones I got were often feedback. Now I get multiple comments when I've only requested one but not complaining about that!

If you're saying you'd already commented on the same page/post then that's definitely not right and don't blame you for feeling frustrated.

I don't have any solution here.

But if you ask me, that's not really a problem. Let's not forget the original intent of the comment section. It's to provide value in return of a comment on our own post.

You can skip websites and the only panelty is that you won't become certified commenter.
And if you land on the same page, just comment as if you are back for more discussion.

I didn't think of doing that , what a good idea.

That is precisely the point - the point is to become certified and remain certified to earn income.

This is a great way to earn income and Carson even promotes it in his blog when SiteComments 2.0 was launched.

So, it is a problem.... which needs a solution :-)

Hi Edu, I have had the same website pop up as well and had to skip it. I am not sure whether it is a glitch or if their is just no one else commenting at the time. I do feel awful about commenting on things i know nothing about and have to try to read two or three times to understand it for me to make an informed or helpful comment.

Thanks for the confirmation Cassandra!

Good to know that there are others experiencing the same glitch.
