What I think is that most of us link to other websites. (affiliate link) we also have a responsibility for how they use the data they collect
I would imagine if you are linking to their site you agree to their Privacy Policy as is the case with every website. So you would agree to how they collect data from your link too then.
Yes, I totally agree. We also get responsibility for those we link to. So we must be more thorough. In some cases, completely fail to link away from our pages
No, on the contrary. If people's data is protected more and more, AND it is evident that that is the case, I believe people will be more willing to use the internet.
It will be interesting to see what others opinions are regarding this.
Thanks Edu. I had an email from Google outlining these changes and I was about to share in WA. Thanks for getting in first! lol

Hi Edu, I was aware of the law in respect of my 'day' job, but as yet the significance hadn't sunk in regard of the online 'landscape! Many thanks for this crucial nudge in the right direction, Sue :)
There are just too many things that one needs to be aware of as technology grows!
Not sure we can keep up with every single one of the changes that takes place!
Which is why I thank my lucky stars that I can belong to such a supportive, caring, positive work environment at WA! It's such a pleasure and privilege to be able to have access to all the training and expertise here, I'm staying put for as long as possible, Sue :)
I tend to agree with you Sue. The WA Community is so caring, helpful and ready to help at every turn.
