Quality Content Is #1

Just today I was reading a link related to Thoughts For The Day, which lead to another link, and another, and another... and so it continued until I came to a similar heading in the one I just created for this blog.

It caught my eye because the person who had blogged on the topic was quite well versed. So much so, that I was compelled to write this blog.

We all know Kyle has drilled into us that Quality Content is what we need to focus on and now to see it confirmed as well - again, and again, and again - makes me think there's GOT TO BE VALUE in that statement.

What I wanted to share with you today is a few comments made by this person to encourage you and to challenge your thinking on the subject, and also to come back to the main thing:

FOCUS ON YOUR TRAINING AND DON'T GET DISTRACTED BY OTHER THINGS!

Here are a few points that were made:

  • 1/ Target Organic Traffic particularly in YouTube and Bing
  • 2/ Build a Consistent Trickle of Highly-Targeted visitors. Remember to use a light approach, yet still maintaining this effect across many channels and targeted audiences.
  • 3/ Use Longtail Keywords on smaller sites tightly focused on the chosen niche.
  • 4/ Since humankind's attention has dwindled to about 1/10th of what it used to be, keep your videos short and sweet and to the point.
  • 5/ Target the older generation using big keywords for traffic from Bing
  • 6/ Make sure you stay up-to-date with the latest technologies related to the applications and software that you use, as well as the ever-changing Google.
  • 7/ Check the health of your website regularly by checking Google Analytics and Google Search Console (formerly WMT - Webmaster Tools). Fix any errors pointed out by them regarding your site.

Your comments and thoughts are ALWAYS appreciated. You know where to type them.

@Katie - yes, I did ask him about 3 times, but I think he ignored me... yes, I wasn't impressed with the comment left by someone else about the British Slang....

@Jeffrey - not sure why Katie's comment was posted under your comment....

My pleasure Katie!

Thank you. Question: Why Bing in points 1 and 5?

I guess Bing operates a little differently and those are the tips related to using Bing. You could also try it for Google and Yahoo, but specific mention was made to Bing in those points.

Interesting, I'd like to understand this better. Thanks.

PM me and I'll send you the link... :-)

Will do and thanks.

PM sent! :-)
