I have a question regarding re-sizing pictures within a post. Once you have a picture inserted into a post and realize it is too big for the space you have allotted for it how

You can delete it from your post and when you go back to reinsert it in, select it and on the right side you can select if you want thumbnails, medium, or large image with dimensions .

Danny

Tony, Here is some training I think might be useful to your question.

If you are using the WordPress editor you have some options as to how large you want the picture to be, as well as alignment. your probably going to have to play around with the placement a little bit but once you get the hand of it you'll be able to do it with ease.

How do I change the font size in one line without changing the whole paragraph?

To High lite a specific sentence Just hold your finger on the left side of your mouse and then scroll the mouse over what you want to change. This should all turn blue and then go to the top left of your editor and click on the header you want. You may need to hit enter a couple times to create some white space and separate the heading from the paragraph. Let me know if this helps.

Hi Jason:

Tried that but the whole paragraph would morph into the larger bold font. Pasted and copied into my word program, made the changes and copied and pasted back to the WA platform. I'll get it figured out. Just need to work with it. thanks for your help.

Create some white space between your header and the paragraph this should fix it

What are you using for a writing platform? If it is Wordpress or the WA platform you can just highlight the text that you want changed and then click on the heading size that you would like to use.

Hi Tony in Site content - you just need to click on each line and click on P - for normal text, H3 - subgheading, H2- larger subheadings, H1-never tried (I assume its extra large).

If you end up changing everything its because you need to hit enter twice after each line to separate the spacing, or the program links the texts together as one paragraph.

OK. I'll file that away for next time. Thanks for the help.

I had this problem too. When I used the heading type to adjust font size in a sentence the whole line changed instead of the phrase I selected.

Another problem is, when the heading feature is used to manipulate font size the spacing between the next line increases. I’ll try the approach you mentioned and hope that once the connection between the words in a line is separated the space to the next line will return to the normal paragraph setting.

It’s clear that there are text editing limitations in WordPress. Microsoft Word it isn’t. Knowing what these are and the best workaround definitely helps.

Thanks for the tip Snazzy!

Edwin

you only want to use the h1 once in your article and that is usually the title.
google looks at this as the title of the document - so imaging what confusion that would occur if it found more than one instance of a h1.
h2 onwards - as often as you need.

You are welcome Edwin :)

look at the paragraph as html and add the following
<span; style="font-size: 1.2em;"> ... sentence to be changed ... </span>
which editor are you using?
phil

No editor. Just the content editor for my About Me page.

Thanks for the assistance but I just copied and pasted into a word document, made the edits and brought it back again. Don't know html so I took the easy way out. Appreciate the help but you are dealing with someone who is not completely computer literate.

I like this workaround!

watch out for word - it drags in a lot of baggage with formatting and this can have unusual effects.
fi you take the time now to click on the text tab at the top of your article and find the text which has in reased and add that to a note pad doc then you wil lslowly learn how to control your text as you want it rather than rely on something that overloads your doc with formatting.
Glad you got it sorted Tony
