Time. Where does it go?

What is time? Is it the time you see on a clock, where even a broken one is right twice a day? Or is it something else entirely? Something sinister, something dangerous maybe?

I find that time runs away from me all too quickly, in fact, every year time is running faster even while I am slowing down. Days seem to go by in a flash and before you know it we’re in a different week or month! I mean, it’s 2019 for crying out loud, how did that happen?

So where does it go? How do we run out of time in the day? What the hell happens to it?

If you have a full time job then there’s about 9-10 hours out of your day. If you sleep ( hopefully you all do!) then that’s 6/7 or 8 hours! that leaves about 6 hours, but wait.......There is housework to be done, shopping, cooking, eating, taking kids to their activities and picking them up.

I’m sure many of you are in the same boat, sailing against the wind every day

I get maybe 2 hours a week to work on my online business. Is that enough? Probably not, but for now it will have to do.

The thing that makes time so dangerous is that we don’t use it the way it was meant to be used. We waste time. We waste it by procrastinating, by thinking of doing instead of actually doing. That half an hour we have spare we watch a TV programme, enjoyable as it is, doesn’t help us achieve our goals.

Time is dangerous and if we don’t use it to our advantage then it will slip through your fingers, forever gone into the darkness of the past.

Where does the time go? I say that a lot. Some days procrastination is my problem. I need to learn to manage time better.

Great post and a good reminder to us all not to waste time!

I ask the same question as you do Tony. I think about all the tasks I did every day when bringing up a family. I'm sure seconds have shortened over the years.

In spite of my dilemma with time I'll never give up.

Wishing you all the best.
Valerie

Me either! Keep going, find time wherever you can and eventually we’ll have plenty of time!!
I’m going to start getting up earlier if I can drag myself out of bed!!
All the best

Getting up earlier each morning is one of my strategies but unfortunately not working in these cold winter mornings.

I've enjoyed the conversation, Tony.
Thanks :)

This time around we only get to live each moment once, the best thing we can do is live it to the best of our ability.

That time conundrum can be a hard one to figure out, coming to the online world most already have a life that is busy and fill.

Starting out I found that connecting with a phone on the go can actually create time, still do today.

Best wishes Tony.

I use my phone for training, blogging and replying. It’s a bit useless for working on the website etc..but gotta do what we can when we can!

Time is always an issue for me Tony. We do have to be careful though or our time might run out. Jim

Absolutely, the clock never stops ticking!!
