Will your Account become Inactive?
Have you received this so very important message from any of your Friends on facebook yet?
I've already received it from 13 of my 5,000 Facebook Friends in the past 2 days and it was on the internet so it must be True!
I'm trying to decide if I want to stay a member at facebook or not!
If Facebook charged what Wealthy Affiliate charges would you stay a member at Facebook?
If yes, then why?
If no, then Why?

Well I have never seen this particular scam but I have seen plenty of other similar ones. What I don't get is what the originator gets out of it and why Facebook cannot manage to block them. They manage to block anything that reeks of Affiliate Marketing and to mark your comment as spam within seconds if they so wish.

Facebook has gone from being a social platform to a marketing platform. It is pretty much saturated with ads and live video already. I doubt they'd get many people wiling to pay just to wish their friends a "happy birthday", watch cat videos or talk politics with the increasing amount of get-rich-quick click-bait going on there.
With the ruling on net neutrality being so new, I highly doubt that Facebook could react this quickly. I have become so skeptical of scams that if I really did win a million dollars and received a notification online of it, I would probably just lose out.
If platforms like Facebook who own Twitter and Instagram ever do charge, I really think they know their audience well enough that they would make it very inexpensive. They aren’t dummies, so they know if they over charge they will lose out. $1 a month times billions of users would be much better for them than $50 for only a million.
So I’m not going to worry about it just yet as I don’t think it will happen overnight.

I don't think FB will never charge anything to users, they can only charge money if peoples want to run ads. They make so much money that way, if they decide to charge users, they will collapse, I'm pretty sure.
They just play the game Google play but on the social media side.
If you ask me if I would pay to run ads on FB, definitely YES, about 2 billion monthly users, some peoples pay millions to FB to run their ads every month.
I don’t know if this trck still works. But I believe nothing beat WA to start a blog business but we just need to keep on digging.
In Facebook, it is a total different wheel of success. The objective of getting someone online and share requires to know there is a free service / platform to communicate in He online space - simple period.
For Facebook to start charging I think it is just breaking their company value as a advertisement mainstream company - so don’t believe this type of sms or message broadcast.
John.
I'll never pay them or fall for bogus chain/scam mail. Besides, I'm amazingly rich. Years ago I responded to Bill Gates' FB note and now have a warehouse full of computers. I also responded to Warren Buffet's FB note and have like a bazillion dollars stashed on the private yacht made of gold that I received from Bayliner from replying to their FB note. I then bought stock in Air so now I get massive royalties every time someone draws a breath. Plus I'm sure to always share the posts about Jesus, so I'm WAY covered. Yes, life it pretty good. :-)
This is a scam. This and similar messages have been circulating on FB for years. IGNORE it.
Anyone who has been on FB for any period of time knows this and pays no attention to these stupid "warnings". I'm not sure why people do them, but they are many of them and the same ones seem to always reappear from time to time.
You must be careful not to comment or share posts like this. Also
Don't believe everything you read on the internet.
:/

This isn't even as well-written as other versions I have seen. I love how the "Director of Facebook" says "it seems the warnings are real" as if he, an employee of Facebook, is just now finding out what is going on. Add to the the incorrect grammar, spelling errors, etc, and I don't know how anyone could possibly believe it, but I know that unfortunately, some people do...
Yes Craig,
I amazed as well my Friend.
I can't believe that I keep getting this, 13 times in the past 2 days.
How gullible are people :)
Hahaha well apart from this being untrue, I dont think I would bother with Facebook... I get more interest and engagement through instagram than i do with Facebook. I use it to keep in touch with friends, and if it wasn't there, then Id find some other way of doing that. I certainly wouldn't pay for the service I get from Facebook right now if I had to pay for it. They would have to up their game if they expected anyone to pay for what we get right now.

FB wouldn't ask you to forward the message to all your contacts. Obviously this is spam. Besides, if Facebook did start charging (which is highly unlikely considering the ways it makes money, I don't need to elaborate why), there'll always be someone else who will come up with another kind of social media platform that Facebook used to be (assuming that FB did indeed start to charge). "Freebook"? "Freeface"? "Openbook"? "Openface"?
