About Tonyclev

My name is Tony Clevenger.

Right now I am looking to supplement my income. I am a Chef and work a lot of hours. But have a couple of hours at night and some time in the morning to work my business.
Mostly lived in Palm Springs & San Diego, now I live in Austin TX.

I started an on line business somewhat similar to this in the past. It focused on drop shipping, there were tons of lessons to set up your niche and build your site etc.
There was not nearly the support as WA AND I paid a lot of money for it, then had to pay individually for everything else (hosting, domains, credit card processing, SEO the list went on and on). They also had me pick a niche I could care less about, selling fishing rods. I could not write articles for e-zines since I don't fish. Then my drop shipper stopped drop shipping, I had spent hours and hours setting up my site with all of the different rods etc. Paid a lot of money to have tons of icons made for me.
So I was back to square one and quit. Still own the domain name, it is a good one.

Then almost got suckered into MOBE. Paid for the first couple levels, then saw what it was...I guess I was one of the lucky few who actually did get their money back.

Then stumbled upon WA looking for a way to supplement my income. Of course I was very skeptical at first. Free month, OK ill take a look. A few bucks to upgrade, OK.
Wheres the catch, I kept asking my self. Hosting included? Domains included? I already owned several domains. Everything cant be included in this meager monthly payment...I was surprised when I found it was all included. I paid for the year on Black Friday. I also upgraded Jaaxy & the SEO, but didn't need to and not sure it is worth it yet.

This is exactly what I was looking for!!
I am not looking for a get rich quick scheme. I want to work a site, provide a service and enjoy it.

My first goal is to just supplement my income.
Then I want to make enough to buy a camper and travel around the country. It would be awesome if I would be able to work for meager wadges at some cool restaurants for a few months, then move on to another restaurant. Making my money from my web site(s)...learning all along the way.

I am glad to be here at WA. I welcome any support and am here for anyone that I can help.

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate Tony, and congratulations

Tremendous goals, just keep concentrated on what they are, why you what to gain them, and the next thing you know you'll have to set new goals because those will be crushed.

I strongly suggest you do all the training offered here at WA it provides you with the knowledge and the tools to create and build upon successful online business that will help you achieve your goals much faster than you think.

Even after you have reached your goals you are most welcomed to continue on with even more individualized and self-motivating training offered in the Friday evening live webinars and a whole community that as contributed to a massive data bank of information of affiliate marketing from a to z in the WA search box located just right of the WA icon up in the black tool bar on the top of the home page.

Remember when first starting out it is not import as to how your website looks, a pretty site will not get you indexed faster, ranked faster, or making money faster. However, the most import thing you can do for that list is add content to your website, not just any content, quality keyword focused relevant interesting content. Until you get 40 pages of content entered on your website the looks of it means nothing.

Content is KING, and consistency is the KEY.

Best wishes,

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

I am having a problem with my niche idea. I have done online drop shipping and had to do a niche. I chose fishing rods, since I found a fishing rod drop shipper. I don't fish, so that became difficult for me to write about.
I am a chef, so seems practical to have something to do with cooking. I also own the domain tonys-salt-blog, so could put that to use. Found 2 affiliate programs with salt, but doesn't seem like enough.

It would be natural for you to head in the cooking/chef industry then. And you shouldn't feel as though you have to drop ship, that can come down the road once you have established and audience (you can promote whatever you like).

Your niche can be anything, don't force it, choose something that resonates with you and that you would enjoy working within Tony.

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)
