Here is a screenshot of the theme I chose.
Hi Tonimaroni2,
I can't promise you that there is not a way to do it. But, my experience, and I am new too, is that it depends on the theme you pick. I recommend that you look for theme that offers columns. Hope this helps.

Thanks Beckie. I chose this theme because I thought it offered that but I've messed with all the areas visible in my customization section and it doesn't change the look.

How do I add columns to my site?
Here is a screenshot of the theme I chose.
Yes the picture is the theme I chose, but my actual site layout looks nothing like that and I want it to.
There should be some setup choices in your theme. In divi for instance, you have to use their site builder. You could go to appearance>customise and see what you have available. It is not easy to work out without going into the back end of your WordPress theme.

I'm on Course 2, just finishing lesson 3 - so I've built out my pages and added content there. Now I see the next lesson is for traffic, but my main page is still blank because
Creating Posts will be addressed within Course 2, so you are right around the corner! Making a blog post is similar to creating a page, but it will show up right on your home page. Creating blog posts early on are more about targeting low competition keywords which will help drive traffic, so they are intertwined. Kyle will teach you how to create posts that capture the readers attention and help you relate to them. By the end of Course 2 you will have created several blog posts per specific lessons. After that it is really up to you to determine how often you want to blog. I hope this helped and I wish you great success with your training and website!
Best Wishes,
Ryan
