Hey folks! Just got an e-mail confirmation that my Google Adsense account has been fully activated, but now what? I took the ad code and reinstalled it into one of the pages of m

Thanks Chris! I actually went over to the Settings option of my account and found where I was able to enter in the required tax information and how I want to be paid, etc. I think the minimum amount is like a $100 threshold or something like that, so I delayed my payment date by a month thinking that it would take AT LEAST a month for me to get to $100.

I guess we'll just see what happens within the next 24 hours? I'm just very new to Adsense and know that once I realize and figure out how Adsense works, things will become a little easier :)

Tom

Now your account is active your ads will appear on your site wherever you choose to place them.

You cannot specify payment parameters straight away... If i remember you need to earn $10 first then it will alert you to activate your payment method.. They send a letter to you in the post with a verification number which you must put in when you receive it.

From there they ask for your bank details and they make a small transaction which again you need to verify with the exact amount when prompted,

From the activation as far as the ads go ..give it upto 24 hours.. mine was about this time frame.. then they will start appearing with no problem.

Thanks

Chris

Seems to be quite some issues with adsense, I need to refresh my ads frequently as they mysteriously vanish from time to time ...

Yeah, I guess I'll just try it for another week and see what happens, as I've waited a week already for my ads to appear. If I don't see anything by next week, I guess I will just continue on with the other lessons and trainings. I can always come back to it later.

That's right Tom, don't waste too much time on it.

Often it takes a little time - I also make sure when I use adsense, to put the code in it's own widget so the code won't accidentally get mixed up or thrown off by any other code nearby.

Hey Tom. I agree with Jeremy. AdSense can take several days to show up. Hang in there.
Dave

Hey Tom. No expert here, but my adds took 9 days before they started showing up on my posts. I was actually going to cancel later that day. ~Jeremy

Hi folks! I just got an e-mail about Google Adsense ads and understand that they will become blank for awhile until my application is properly reviewed. I am just wondering--h

About a week for me. Glyn

Mine showed up within a day. I ended up deleting them however because they screwed up parts of my website by covering content, etc.

Hmm... interesting. I guess I'll give it another day or two and see what happens? If I don't see any changes or like what happens, I guess I will just go in to the Text tab and see if I can just take the code out.

Yes, that's what AI did. I was not impressed at all. I've looked at website with their ads are pretty obnoxious....right over content.

Hi everyone! Recently, it seems that whenever I type in my URL to share it, it's just not showing in that blue hyperlink form anymore. I mean--the URL is correct. Why is it not

Where are you trying to share it?
Have you changed your theme lately?

Just here on the site. I changed my theme maybe about a week or so ago?

I changed my theme once and lost some of my links. This could be the reason.

It depends on where you are typing it in. Not every where typed will get the link to turn blue. In other words it just does not take. If you are copying and pasting it some places will not take it. Also try typing the @ first then add each part and see if it works then. Put this in the Live Chat area and see what response you get.

Are you putting http:// in front of it? Glyn

Yes

Hi folks! As an Amazon affiliate, I was trying to add another product to my website. However, when I received the affiliate link and then tested it out, it didn't work. As far a

I have created some training on how to add Amazon affiliate links Tom:

How to Add Affiliate Links

This should help you out here Tom. If you want to share your exact URL of the page in which you have added it (and it isn't working) we can have a look and let you know what you are doing wrong as well. This video should help you out though.

Thanks Kyle! I'll go through this training again to see if I am possibly missing something. Will keep you posted!

Hey Kyle, I still can't figure the issue out, unfortunately. If you go to the weightlifting section of my site, you will see a pair of powerblock dumbbells there. Feel free to check out my site at http://optimaldailyliving.com Yeah, I just don't know what I am doing wrong. Sorry...

Tom

Are you trying to have it on you post or on your main site as one the first needs to go in the text part and the second goes into a widget?

I was trying to do it with my newly created posts.

Then are you entering the code into the text or into a link?

Into a photo actually :)

A link to a photo should work like a link to a word blue. The only thing I can think off that happened to me once or twice is that I copied the the code but it was not complete when I pasted it. You might want to ensure you have all the code by pasting it in an address or a word link and see how it works. One other thing, make sure you are copying a text code not a widget code because it made a difference for me where I copy from and where I paste.

Yeah, when I copied the code, I made sure it was just a text code only and then pasted it into my image. Still can't figure out what is wrong... :(

Thanks Tommy! I'll be sure to check these out.
