Tommy, your concern is felt by many, however think that many have seen what Beverley has written (I see the link below).
Personally, I would have been likely lost had it not been for one person here at WA when I experienced the live chat column. Having the 7 day count training would have been great, and now that I have read it, has reaffirmed all that I have learned. What a wonderful place this is with you, Tommy, and all the WA community. Our responsibility is to welcome each newbie as soon as possible, follow them, and help them as we have been.
Hi Tommy
I've written some training about making the most of the first 7 days of the starter membership. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-make-the-first-7-days-of-your-starter-membership-count.
Yes it's tight - but 7 days is very common with a lot of online organisations. It's up to each individual to organise their own time in order to take advantage of those first 7 days - and that's all about choices.
For whatever reason some people will take much longer, which they still have the opportunity to do - and then the choice is pay $19 which isn't a lot or take longer but don't ask questions.
I think it's fair.
I've always been willing to help people but it can get tiring to help people who don't want to commit in anyway.

Yes I am good with the 7 days also I was just curious about what everyone else thought about. I am just hoping all the ones that I have recruited start signing up to premium sooner. Thanks all for your comments
I guess I am good with the 7 days, because I will be all over my recruits making sure they get pointed in the right direction. :)
I was totally new to every single bit of this when I started and was so involved in other "life" stuff, that it took much, much more than 7 days to get the hang of navigating my way around here. I absolutely love this community and will be here for a long, long time, but my heart really goes out to those who are searching and find this awesome place. I really needed the support of everyone on Live Chat and wouldn't have made it without them. And yep, I could have paid $19 for the first month at any time and gotten the premium benefits... but... I would never have came up with the next month's payment and the mounting pressure to do so would have totally defeated me. Just my 2 cents worth!
Hey Tommy
No, I don't think 7 days is enough time at all. Not for someone who does not know about building websites, marketing, article writing, and the whole bit. When I started I only had the choice of going premium and after researching for about a month that is what I did.
I also had blogged about The Free Concept back when this was started. Take a look at my blog. See the comments that I made if you have the time.

If you did read it then I want you to know that my thoughts have still not changed. I am still a Premium member here and where I can get the free stuff I still do. I do think that to this day WA is still the best all around membership to belong to. I have not joined any of the others, although I am an affiliate of WA and some of the others too. Why? Because some of the others may be what someone else is looking for.
People have many different learning curves. The ones with no knowledge or very little will not accomplish much at all in 7 days. It will just give them enough to maybe see if they want to join for 19.00 or not for the first month which is a very good price.
Sometimes though people don't realize that it is a good price. They don't realize that what they are looking at could change their future.
I think people will just have to either join as a premium or work in the background on their sites and find the help they need in the training that they do get as a starter. If they don't get the help they need then they will probably move on. Only time will tell.
But, deep down I know that when I have to pay for something I am going to do my best to get my moneys worth out of it.
Thanks for letting me bend your ear too!

Hi Tommy! When this first took effect, I happened to be one who expressed to Kyle that I felt 7 days was not long enough. It took me at least a month to really get a feel for things, but then again, I am slower at processing this kind of thing and had been scammed in the past. As Sherion said below, people have many different learning curves and I am one who needs more time. However, as several others have mentioned here, it's only $19 for another month and that's a deal, plus paying a little for the first month gives a person more incentive to move forward. As I told Kyle, I am thankful that I came in at a time when there was free time for me to access everything and to find out what a great community we have here. I will never turn back now and will always find a way to pay for the membership because of its terrific value. Thanks for posting. it's always good to hear everyone's opinions on issues. :)
