On and Off for the past two years

So its been two years and I have been playing around with the idea learning doing the course and trying to get off the ground. Yet life gets in the way many times and you loose track of why you are doing this and for what reasons. Sometimes you need support and a motivational kick in the butt to get a move on.

Thus after an extended absence from fighting for my financial freedom, I have decided to fight instead of run. An important lesson I have taken from the past two years is:

Actions create results, and words without actions are just words.

So I am here asking for help and guidence, to become a better me and to build a business that will give me what I want.

You are in the same space as I am. But I do believe this can work. So I stormed into the training and was going great guns, when wham --- life jumped in again. I have been living out of town for the past week and a half painting my daughters house with limited internet. I try to jump into WA every day for about 5 minutes - just to keep the connection in my mind to WA. Cant wait to get back home next week to give it my all.

Keep it up, I know the feeling been on the same train over the past few months. Just need to focus on this, and be consistent and just stick to it.

Do you actively work on personal development along with the training in WA? I suggest you take the time to sit down, brainstorm, come up with all the reasons you want to do this.

What is it that you see yourself becoming when you have a look into your future. That vision is your starting point to work backward from in order to see the steps that you need to take now.

Know your beliefs, values, morals so you can come up with a set of rules that you will obey. Then you must be capable of convincing yourself to believe you will do what it takes no matter what anyone else says or does.

Be willing to try things out in many different ways so you can find the best solution to your actual problems. You must not succumb to self-doubts, self-pity, self-hate or any kind of self-loathing.

It will be your daily actions that will require self-discipline so you can follow and prepare a schedule that you will keep or you will reschedule.

Anytime you miss an item you have promised yourself to do, you must make amends by doing it asap or it will damage your progress.

Prepare a way to reward yourself for each tiny goal you reach. That way you will be able to use that momentum to keep going.

Get into the habit of being organized, because it's essential to keep your mind sharp, your thoughts moving along, and your ideas in order.

Stay positive or at least begin each day by being grateful for what you already have. It's too often that we forget we all had to start from nothing.

As an infant, everything you observed was brand new. That means you knew zero information and had no solid way to communicate your needs with others.

Build your communication skills to higher levels because it will not only help you make more connections it will help you to understand how you must talk yourself into doing the things you dislike or the things that make you feel fear.

Absolutely take advantage of being a content creator so you can surround yourself with every image or every statement that reminds you throughout your day that it's worth fighting for the stuff you dream about.

Hi Eric great post and even better advice. I have been doing self development and have been working on my professional career for the past two years. Yet it is not giving me that what i want and working for someone else its like hitting a wall. You are always controlled by someone and have to do what others want.

I start each day with affirmations and visualizations of where I want to be and that has had some amazing resuls.

Thank you once again for the great pick up and advice.

Tom

The part where you say "you are always controlled by someone and have to do what others want" is a false belief.

Always is a terrible word that implies it's forever and unchangeable. The fact/truth is that you must learn how to be the one who controls your own path.

It may mean you have to make lot's of sacrifices but it's not something that is unchangeable.

Have you tried using CBT - cognitive behavioral therapy to learn how to observe your thoughts, ideas, and beliefs so that you can change those?

My niche is focused on making life transformations and I believe that it's essential to know yourself inside and out.

I may just be in the early stages of that site but right now I have 100 posts, have learned enough to transform my thinking, and am currently learning how to boost my courage and confidence levels to epic levels for the first time in my life.

Let me know where you struggle the most and perhaps we can work together on some things to help us both out.

Eric

Hi Eric.

I didn't realize it but you are right I had that thought in my mind for an extended period of time and I need to change my approach and mindset.

Thank you so much for pointing that out, i didn't even realize it but this is fantastic.

I have also worked with the CBT method and it was working wonders and I cannot remember what changed that i stopped the process.

Thank you once again, amazing.

Tom

Well, if its motivation, just had a stroke, a month ago, and getting this WA thing up and running is the motivation I needed so here I am back at the keyboard, after walking 4.5 miles to use the library computer. You see I am homeless beside being without a vehicle (used to be my home), and recovering from a stroke, my main motivator is the power of prayer, my physical motivator, is that by learning this stuff, I can over come homelessness. You need any more motivation than that, just ask we are here to help!

Thank you, for the words and keep it up and keep going I believe in you and with every step you take will bring you closer to your goals as well.

Tom

Well said. Just like anything worth doing, it's worth doing right. Go over the training (I recommend, even if you've already gone through it, to do it again since you've been on and off over such a long period of time).

Reach out to the community with questions or bounce ideas off of us if you're unsure of something. We're here to help and I'd argue the community is the best part of WA.

Offer your insight and ideas to others. One thing that keeps me here is knowing that i can make a difference for others. We all have different strengths and weaknesses...by working together we can take advantage of our ability to pool those strengths and overcome those weaknesses (forgive the cliche but it's true).

Welcome back and stick to that commitment.

Thank you for the kind words.
