Hi there, My name is Tom,

I'm a retired full time working Australian.

Australians are affectionately known throughout the world as "Skips", however, I please ask not to hold that against me.

I joined Wealthy Affiliate because of the opportunity offered in improving my standard of living. But, above all else, the chance to communicate with people likeminded.

With the gap widening within the standard of living I seized upon the chance to earn a few extra pennies and close off that awful opening.

I may even have a few pence left over for some other enjoyments in life. Life is not easy these days, balancing the budget on a fixed retirement fund is far from the ideal lifestyle.

Challenges that lay ahead will be difficult, and that I understand. Nonetheless, as my journey begins and I commence the walk through the tunnel, I will without doubt experience a number of very dark areas that will be the most daunting.

This will all take time and patience. However, being part of such a wonderful and helpful Wealthy Affiliate community family help will be just around the corner.
They will be the ones who will take me by the hand and ensure I reach my destination with as little scratches and bruises possible.

Thanks to each and every one who has taken the time out to read my profile.

"Thank You"

Tom

Superb goals Tom! You have a large network and community here at WA that you can leverage for help and support along the way, myself included.

It all starts with a goal...then is followed by action...then is followed by results. This is going to be how it pans out for you and I can't wait to hear about all of your successes in the days, weeks, and months ahead! :)

Hi Tom,

What a wonderful profile.
I just popped over to say Hi, and a massive thank you for adding me into your network, it is truly, very appreciated.

You have been on your journey a little longer than myself, and have much more experience. However that does not stop me from wishing to share in your future successes.

Hi, there adrianh25392,
You are more than welcome.
It's all about the journey and if you work on that theory and not treat it as a race success follows.

Hi, there smartketeer,

Thanks for the post. I was a member about two years ago, however, I dropped out because I lost my way and became confused. I'm now back for a second shot and here's hoping that it works out this time around.

I do appreciate your offer of some help should that be necessary, which may well be the case. I suppose that the best way for me would be to send you a personal message and then take it from there.
Thanks once again.

Tom, nice to hear from you fellow Aussie. Tell me about the pension. It took my 5 months to get mine and all because a Centrelink person made a mistake when I initially applied a week before my birthday! So finally got mine and now have been asked to fill out a form for Canadian reciprocity or I may lose it!

The questions asked are ridiculous. All the places I have lived. Our family lived in 5 places before I was 4. Wow am I having fun trying to track this info down.

I had a look at your baby site and it looks pretty good. I must say I like your theme (after all it is the one I use!). Didn't read anything yet so can give feedback but one thing I will say. Google (apparently) doesn't like left aligned images. I believe it doesn't read text to the right of these.

Also my menu used to look like yours but I plugged away and figured out how to tidy it up. You can check this out at . PS if you have trouble with this let me know as I haven't reviewed it for a while.

Have fun here and keep in touch.

Tom,
You will be fine, my friend. I am approaching retirement myself, and slow at learning new stuff. I'm getting there, and if ya need a hand myself, as well as the Community are here. I'm still working the "Job". Lol. Best wishes, thanks for the follow, and am following you back.

Hi there Wayne,
You are welcome, and thanks for following back.

Thank you, Wayne for the offer, that is extremely kind of you, considering that you are doing this (WA), and still working full time.

Must be some challenge juggling both. However, you must be managing OK.

All the best and I wish you every success that comes your way.

Hi there Robert,
I think that it is a steep learning curve for most who join WA.

There are many thinks that from the outside, people would never have given thought to, nor, and most likely knew that they ever existed.

Your reply is most welcome, and I will contact you when I'm looking for some extra help.

Thanks for the follow.

Hi again Tom it’s a good idea (only if you want to) to click the 'Like' icon within a comment if you like it as I have done with yours.
Obviously you don't have to click every single comment or you will be here all day doing nothing but.
But to click the ones you like that are replies to your own comments will be reflected in your WA ranking because it shows you are getting involved with the community.
Enjoy your day.
