Dear fans and readers,

I am not much here as I am having tons of things to do, but I have some important news I like to share with you and also as a warning as many of you may not know about the things I found out after testing WebTalk.

So please be very cautious about this so called new social platform, as they are not that new as they say they are!

I signed up and started digging and found out that they are here for quite a while now. They are in beta for over 8 yeas now and received over 7 Million $ investment, you wonder what they did with all that money, as for that amount you should have an awesome platform up and running without being to be in beta anymore, just look at Wealthy Affiliate, what awesome platform they built....

Questions about these facts are being ignored and stay unanswered! That should give you thinking too.

After 1 Million Members Still in Beta!

Beware caution as it is very suspicious to be in beta for 8 years and that much investment, still not to have a running platform and on top, they are begging for more money from the sign ups now and promise those funders to be the possible "chosen one" to receive a job offer with WebTalk!

WebTalk made the promise at 1 Million users to launch, and what happened? They are still in beta and did not launch!

They changed the rule for being that special person to have a lifetime revenue share, when signing up before 1 Million followers were reached. And now they have extended that as long they are in beta!

So it was just a "trick" to get people signing up!

WebTalk Does Not Offer Any GDPR!

Furthermore, ever considered what they will do with all your data you give them? All those email addresses? They will be probably sold, oh yes and you won't see a penny out of that and your email addresses you provided, will probably be the lucky ones to receive much more spam from 3rd parties in the future. (all for free off course :P )

The same is for all your content, anything you post there, you won't see a penny from it.

There is no GDPR in place neither, that means, no protection of privacy for all Europeans. The fact it is still in beta and you can join through signup only, the way they collect your data and email addresses, it is my opinion it looks very much like a big DATA SCAM to get people's data and then they may disappear.

TSU was a similar company, who promised to share it's revenues with it's users too, then 1.5 years later they disappeared with the user's data and no one saw any revenue.

Revenues on Sold Signed Pro Subscribtions!

Oh yes, that is what they promise you, then have a look at those Pro Subscribtions and let your eyeballs fall out. Seriously, they want to replace FaceBook they say, but with the subscribtions they offer, there is absolute no reason for any FaceBook user to leave FaceBook in the first place!

The use of contacts is limited in the basic version and if you want to have more you need to sign up and pay for a pro subscribtion, that is crap!

So if you want all those current free services WebTalk offers, you are going to pay big time! What made FaceBook big in the first place? Well all those private users having all functions for free for life!

Private users should be your main target, but as for now, I see businesses in the mass and many are using Webtalk as in a way as using Twitter, mass advertisements, bah, but that is my opinion (I turn those off, who think it is funny to overwhelm your followers with advertisement crap)

The only thing we pay for in FaceBook is advertisement to reach a bigger audience. I do not see anything of that on WebTalk, how they think you can benefit from that as a business.

Stay With The Flow of Those You Know!

And the design is now not exactly something revolutionair, personally I don't like it, it works boring and there is no action like I can see in FaceBook.

Conclusion:

There are sufficient other serious platforms out there like Twitter, FaceBook, Pinterest, Linkedin, Steem and surely several other interesting ones, who do not need to be in beta for 8 years or probably in beta forever.

So I suggest you don't spend too much time on WebTalk for now and as we in Dutch say:

"Kijk de kat uit de boom!" (watch the cat out of a tree, before taking action)

and see what will happen to WebTalk. If they lift off and keep their promises, you can still join and work with them, till then, keep a low profile.

Hmmm..... just wondering how they would react on a GDPR request.....

Let me know what you think of it and leave your comments below.

To be honest I just signed up a month or so ago and totally forgot about it.

I only remember I created an account because I see posts about it here.

I never actually used it and to be honest since I am more focused on fb and ig now YT I don’t really care for the platform much.

I don’t really have an opinion since I never went and looked them up but I just signed up and left it thanks for the share

The ones you are using now are way more important and as long WebTalk is in beta, not worth our time. Besides of that, I think the design is not that good that you can say you want to be on that platform every day, just my opinion and just continue building with the ones you mention. :))

Hi Stefan
Very informative post. Thank you for sharing this with us. Frankly, I'm tired of these social media companies lying abut their policies. I don't need another one to know all about me. I think that 7 million is gone, and what you say in your talking points makes sense.

Chuck

Hi Chuck,

You are so right, when people come to you to talk about it, it sounds all so fantastic, then when you sign up, dig and see how things really go, it is a disappointment, to good to be true.

LinkedIn is a much better option, Webtalk is going to be a bunch of marketers trying to sell their services to each other.

Hi, I agree, you are right, Linkedin is much better. And the current marketers are using the PM there to sell you there services, same as in Twitter....

Hi ToLiNoLi!

You are always on the leading edge of THE "ONLINE CLIFF OF BAD OFFERS NO RETURN" SITUATIONS!

Just yesterday, a famous, Top Earner on "All of The Leaderboards"
who is a legit 6-7 Figure Earner contacted me to join!

I couldnt figure out any benefit so I declined!

Thank Goodness & Thank You For Your Timely Review and advice!

Barb

Hi Barb,

Glad to hear I can help you out here. :))

WebTalk is a kind of MLM as they work with a pyramid scheme as well.

Well one can wonder how that is going to work out over time, only the ones who joined as first, having a mass of followers by now, are going to make money out of it if this platform is ever going to leave their so called beta status and people are willing to pay for their subscriptions...

I see nothing wrong with Webtalk. It doesn't cost a dime. What have you got to lose? Even if lots of business owners join, doesn't mean you can't market to them. I am a business owner, but I am also a consumer.

As for them selling your email, you are just assuming that they are doing that, with no proof. Facebook has given out customer information numerous times.

It is just another social media avenue to market your websites and connect with friends and like-minded people.

Hi Lisa,

Sure, you can signup, but what value does it bring to your business is to be defined by you and only you can see if it suits your needs.

I do not need to assume anything, it is fact they share your information with third parties. From your answer I can see you did not read their "privacy policy" where this is written, so go and read it and you will have your "proof".

How else can companies exist like this, offering all for free? They need to make money somehow...

And do yourself the favor and lookup the pro subscriptions, because as soon they leave beta, you will have to subscribe if you want to continue working with your contacts and all options you can use now.

Every company you deal with collects your data and sells it. It is just in the fine print. As for how they will make money, I assume they will allow people to buy ads and market to the people on the platform. The same way other social media platforms make money.

They sell your data big time, as this is how FaceBook and other social platforms make tons of money on you each and every day. :))

Collecting data is one thing, handling the GDPR to approach European Citizens another. That they don't have it in place means, they don't care about your privacy data neither...

The GDPR matter is not one of choice, as they have European members they must comply, it’s law. They will be fined otherwise and the $7m invested will look small in comparison. If they do not comply, they take a huge gamble.

Other than this, most of your concerns - valid as they may be - are mostly generic to Social Media and this is really my reason for making comment here.

My first impression was that they lack integrity:)

That impression I got too. Thanks for adding that Nemira.

Thanks for doing the research. Sounded good in the beginning, but I guess caution is called for. I've joined, but haven't done more than that. Think I'll just watch and wait.

Exactly, that is the right approach.

If you just think of it, 8 years in beta with 7 Million $ funding? Where did all the money go? Seriously, I don't get it, something smells fishi here....

Thanks for the warning Stefan, I was not aware of that, Best Alan

Hi Alan, yeah sometimes it sounds to good to be true. For now I check in ones a week, but will not actively use it. I will keep you updated if something significant happens.

Tks for warning us about WebTalk!

Hi Gilberto, you are very much welcome. :))

I am very glad to know about that because someone I knew mentioned that to me and I was thinking about checking them out. I am very glad that I did not now.

My advise for you, always do your own research first, before signing up for anything, google it and see what you can read about it, go for forum topics as there you will find user's information, this as many reviews may exist there just to use that as a way of advertisement it is so "fantastic" or go to Quora and place your question there.
