Thank you for the quiz I didn't do so good but that is okay not a problem. It was kinda fun though but nevertheless, it just showed me that I need to read up on this subject and learn what I need to.
The idea was to see it from another side and find out if we really understand GDPR. It shows the public is not well enough informed. Could get messy out there.
You are absolutely right because every one I believe is confused about this situation and that should not be.
I think the EU should have provided the necessary tools and a support group to help businesses to get it implemented in a way that there are no jurisprudent questions afterwards. The idea is good for the visitors to protect their data, but the execution of this idea lacks on support and help for both sides....
I agree with you because they told us the date and everything but did not help us in any way to get ready for it at all and that is the start of confusion.
As a tip, to spare you tons of work and hours of knowing what you need and how to act on GDPR, do yourself the favor and look into a premium plugin which comes with support and regular updates, I used that free plugin as I mentioned in my other blog, but it is limited in functions and asks advanced php wordpress knowledge which can be a hassle to work yourself into.
I bought a plugin now, which has done all that work for me, so I only need to create page where my GDPR is shown and fill in all my details in the plugin, the plugin does the rest.
Saves me a big hassle, ever thought what happens when your are busy writing reviews and then due to the xxx users you have 10% decides to ask you to show them their data you stored, deletion requests, change requests?
If you have to do that by hand, how are you going to free up time for that...
Then a good plugin will take that work away from you. :)
Thanks for the interesting quiz. Got 6/9. As they say most individuals don't understand it or know of it.
Due to the ambiguity of the different lawful basis (or combination of) a company can use it's no wonder businesses are having a hard time implementing it.
I scored 5 out of 9 but Thank you, I have learnt so much knowing how my personal data can be used.
