Dear fans and readers,

Have you ever been on a gold hunt? Looking to find gold? You can find gold in many different places and it can be fun, when you find it. You can go for gold shopping, buying your favorite jewelry made out of gold, but you can also go on a mining trip and filter out gold through the water. Has anyone done that of you?

Today I was searching for virtual gold. While I am still waiting for the answer from our Site Support resolving a technical server issue that causes crawler errors on my website, resulting I cannot work on my website, I decided to upwork my SEO for the next articles to come with Jaaxy Pro.

Although I have Market Samurai too for keyword research, I prefer Jaaxy Pro as it is so much easier in use and the overview is just fantastic.

It looks I got a golden hand to quickly find my keyword phrases. Perhaps this is to the hilarious and crazy headers popping up in my mind? Who would ever have thought there are people out there looking for my headers, yes there are and here it comes:

I Found My Golden Nugget!

The low hanging keyword fruit as Kyle talks about. Better have lower search results, but those who search find you then on page 1 of Google! Now this one is Page 1 on First Place! Yay! :D

48 AVG 9 Traffic 0 QSR Great 100 SEO

It was hard to find a keyword phrase for this crazy header of mine at all, but look, it was there and I found it within 5 minutes. It is so easy, too easy? Well this is my first phrase I found with QSR 0 and SEO 100. Now maybe you may think the AVG and Traffic are low, but this was the only part I could use to have traffic at all, so good enough for me.

All my other keyword phrases so far have all QSR under 15 and a SEO value of 89 or higher, AVG and Traffic are much higher as well, I consider that as good keywords landing me on page one, right?

My headers are special and in most cases I cannot search for keywords first and then create the header. So these values are fine. For special reviews, yes, there it will make sense to go first to find a golden nugget with higher search results as we use those articles to affiliate on.

What else do you do to land golden nuggets?

Well done Stefan

Thank you Ria, still more to do to make sure it is a good one.

I've found keywords with a qsr of 0 and still not ended up on the first page with them. I dont know why.

Also what does the "SEO" value mean in jazzy? I remember him covering qsr in the video but not the next one.

Check out the screenshot ...

A zero QSR is always suspicious ... Having zero competing websites is like finding an untapped niche ... an unexplored topic ... Which is very unlikely ...

And not ending up on the first page ... Well, finding a low QSR keyword is one thing ... Efficiently utilizing it in ALL your SEO efforts (content, links, images, etc) is another thing

Good point, let's hear what others have to say. :))

Thanks, will check that one out. :))

You got a good point here. :))

Stefan I think thats great !

Thank you Alexander, it is, and more research to add to make sure it is a great one.

Thanks for sharing that Stefan and glad to hear you got such an amazing result.
I hope to join the " 0 QSR" club soon!

Well as we read from the comments a QSR of 0 is suspicious and we need to do additional research to make sure of that. :))

I have read that all the known gold in the world would fill two large swimming pools!

Only? Can't be if you read how much gold is being bought by several big economic countries in the world. Maybe only for the USA. :))

Or wait, these must be your swimming pools. :P

Hi ToLiNoli

Although we are talking about keywords, I will have a look if that can make a great article to rank for. :))

Congrats.

If I could add a suggestion... be cautious of exact match keywords with a really low QSR. Sometimes you can add something simple like "what is" to the front of your keyword and it'll give you a low QSR, but other variations of that keyword with similar intent could have a QSR well into the hundreds.

Jaaxy is an amazing tool, but it's only one step in the keyword research process. I'll generally spend a few hours or even days on Jaaxy doing keyword research but then I take that list if winners I've found and begin doing SERP (search engine results page) research.

Each word gets put into Google so I know exactly which pages Google is already ranking for that keyword. These are the websites and articles you'll be competing with. If they are high authority sites like Entrepreneur, INC, Lifehacker, Forbes, etc. I don't even try to compete... unless those articles are not relevant to the keyword (indicating that Google can't find a relevant post).

But I'll continue to page 2, 3 and beyond, because if I find some really great posts about that exact topic on page 3 for example, it gives me an idea of where I'll probably rank.

Other times you'll see a QSR of 50 or higher, and when you check the SERPS there is nothing but low authority (or new) sites with really thin content you can easily outrank.

Also have a look at the content you're competing with. If a high authority site that generally gets a lot of traffic has a relevant article but zero comments, it's possible that the there are fewer searches than are being reported.

Just some food for thought :-)

Jay

Great breakdown of how to search for keywords!

Awesome info, thanks Jay! Much appreciated!
Sharlee (Chocolate IceCream)

Well done and Congratulations!

Sharlee (Chocolate IceCream)

Thank you Sharlee,

And I thought it is from the ice cream dips & juice coming from you... :P

LOL! Nah, [shaking head] this time I'm innocent, sorry! It's not me. ;-) Wouldn't mind to get a few of those nuggets though! ;-)
Well done! ;-)

Yeah but as Jovo said, I need to look up 2 other ones I found and remove the stop words, sight....

Jaaxy Pro should include the USR

Stefan :))

I have failed to rank several times with such keywords, just to know. Blogged about this a few times in the past.

In general, QSR is a misleading parameter. There are at least two major reasons for this:
1. This is not your true competition, it is USR (unquoted search result).
2. It may include stop words which are generally ignored by search engines so the true QSR may be much bigger.

So go and check to be sure.

What you are saying is to always search for keywords without stop words?

It would have been nice Jaaxy would include the USR in the overview as that will avoid this what you describe.

But you say generally, that does not mean it does completely?

Luckily in this case no stop word.

What about words that end with 's ? Do you search without the 's?

I am just suggesting that the competition may look low (or zero) from such a result obtained from a keyword tool. But this is generally a wrong result so it is useful to check the same phrase without stop words, and you will find out that in most cases the QSR is different. Now, such a keyword without stop words is the true QSR from Google's point of view.

See my discussion in recent Dom's blog about his alternative ways of searching without QSR.

Not sure about your third paragraph (sentence). Keyword tools do not give USRs, the only way is to check incognito.

Words with 's are treated by bots without '. So s should be included, it changes the meaning and the search result is different.

can you explain how we find USRs?

Check the keyword incognito in Google.

Thanks for the tip Jovo,

Can you remember the link from Dom and post it here please?

Thanks :))

Thanks a lot Jovo, much appreciated. :))

A good post.
Something to learn from ToliNoli.

Enjoy your day.

Thanks :)
