Dear fans and readers,

Ever heard of the term Cross-Domain Tracking? This is a very useful way of telling Google you have 2 or more websites that are related to eachother and will increase your ranking of those websites as Google will see that they belong together.

Now on what do you need to think if we talk about Cross-Domain? If your website consists of more sub-domains or domains that are somehow a part of your main website:

  1. Shopping / Catalogue
  2. Forum
  3. Pinterest clone website
  4. Other ways of connected as being a part of

How can you add your cross domains? One way to do this is with your SEO plugin, in this case I am using SEOpress, which is one of the best I can recommend. It covers all that Yoast has and more.

Under the Google Analytics Tab - Tracking, you can add your other domains. Another way is to add them to your Google Analytics account. You can find more info at Google Help how to do this, but I prefer to use my SEOpress that takes care of that.

I think it makes a lot of sense to use this option, especially if you have a catalog or a shop with hundreds or even thausends of articles. Interesting to know how it will affect your overal ranking, so if anyone has experience with this it would be nice to know how it changed your ranking over time.

Does anyone of you use Cross-Domains tracking?

You are welcome :))

Hi, Stefan, I have all my sites in Google analytics. Is cross-domains tracking different?

It tells google your sites belong together, example, you have a blogging site and a shop site, but both should be one, but you decided to split it.

Does SEOpress replace All In One SEO, or are they used together?

You can and yes it does, it can import all your settings so you won't lose anything.

Tks to share valuable info

My pleasure :))

Happy Holiday

Would be nice, same to you lol :))

Hi Stefan, I was not aware of cross-domain tracking, but will try to implement it, thank you for the information, Best Alan

Hi Alan,

Let me know how that goes for you and if it is to complicated, have a look at SEOpress, you can also watch a video in Youtube about this useful tool. Check the SEOPress setup tutorial. I wouldn't write you this if it were not really a great tool. I had Yoast and WP Meta SEO and I am really impressed with this better SEO tool, it runs fully compatible with my theme and it also can import your data from other SEO tools.
