50% Advertisements on Google Page 1? Let's Go Bing!

Dear fans and readers,

Did you notice recently the new implementations of Google into the search results? I did and it sucks big time. I hate Google for this. In the past Google was what it should be, a search engine to find useful content, but now it is an advertisement plaform for search results and that is not useful at all, well not for me.

So I did some comparisons with other search engines and the one I like most is Bing. I did this by searching for the same words and Bing came up with no advertisements and all useful blogs / websites, but Google had 50% advertisments, written with AD in front and the other results were shops, well not what I was looking for, why?

Pay For Google Rank 1 Search Results?

Does that mean, you can only rank page one if you pay for it? For me this is a no no and I do not agree with Google's new policy, or will you accept advertisements for search results? And what about searching for keywords then, the QSR needs to be adapted in Jaaxy as Google fills the search results with paid advertisements now, how do we want to compete at all?

It very much looks like Google is trying to cut out the small to medium businesses and blog writers to favotirize big business on the first Google search result pages.

Alternatives to Google?

Google is / can be important if your market is in the USA, but if you target the world / Europe, you may give Bing a try, as the results are really good, SEO is not too difficult to understand either.

Alternatives to Google can also be Yahoo, and if you want to look in the direction of Asia, give Baidu and Yandex a chance, as they are the favorites in those areas.

Who of you is using Bing, Yahoo, Yandex or Baidu SEO?

hi Stefan,
Very informative post. I think that once people figure out what's going on, they will stop using Google as their primary search engine. Like you said Bing is a great search engine with excellent results. I think I will register with the other ones you mentioned.
Take care.;0)

Hi Antonio,

Thank you. The popping up AD's are reason one and the fact of finding old content are reason enough to make a big bow around Google.

Yeah, their wonderful new algorithm forcing us to up-work old content is due to misuse back firing already.

So you find an article of 2018 (search year included), you go there and then read it, on the top it says August 2018, but in the comment section you only see comments from 2012-2013, so I got tricked into reading an old article, who knows if it was relevant or not???

Bye Bye Google.....

Have never tried anything other than Google but I'm going to give Bing a try, thank you.

Oh I like Bing! Just used some keywords pertaining to my website and found myself in top spot on page 1 of 18 000 000 results!

You are welcome, glad to hear to be at help. :))

Did you use Jaaxy for that?

already use Bing more than Google because of better results and they have a rewards system for avid users.

Interesting, how does that reward system work Andrew?

I agree, Stefan.

I personally use bing for my own searches and I know my ratings in bing and yahoo tend to be higher than google anyway.

Will start looking into baidu and Yandex.

Best Wishes
Hazel

Good possible we are going to see a shift towards the other search engines, that will be good for all of us, a win win, I think Google got too big and they think they can play the Masters of The Internet....

Thanks Stefano for sharing

Hi Fidelis, you are welcome, happy to hear it is useful for you too. :))

Never ever used Bing Stefan but after reading your post I will certainly reconsider this.

Yes, give it a try, use the same words and look up the results. :))

I use Bing most of the time. I do use google occasionally, but I much prefer Bing.
Regards Janet

Hi Janet,

So I guess you use Bing keywords for your website?

I use the Jaxxy tool and then yes try them out on Bing.
Regards
Janet

So Jaaxy supports Bing as I did not try that yet?

What I am trying to say is I do my keyword research in Jaaxy first and then I type into Bing what I think might be a good keyword or keyword phrase to see what comes up, competitors wise mainly.

Hope this makes sense.

Regards Janet

Hi Janet,

So Jaaxy doesn't support Bing then? What use is Jaaxy Pro for us if we won't be able to score on page one anyway anymore if Google preserves page one more and more for AD's???

Me personally even before I got into affiliate marketing and what not. I have always used Bing to do my searches. Occasionally I would use Google but not much though.

I didn't use bing that much, but since it is my default search in my Yandex browser I did comparisons and it is much better than Google.

I used Google so much, as that is what we got taught here to concentrate on that for the search as many are using Google, I wonder now what will be the new stand towards those Google policies from Kyle and Carson?

Seriously, how do you want to compete against paid advertisers?

So I am done with Google if this trends continues and will switch to alternatives, also for SEO.

Just my opinion.

I do agree we all have our own opinions I can say that’s i hadnt noticed the ads ouch since I don’t I see google to do my searches unless I am on my phone.

Also ads are usually based on the keywords you put into a search bar so I wouldn’t would ink that article or blog would be relevant to your searches. But there isn’t the thing of being ranked in google and having more competition with more ads.

Without my ousted I haven always focused on ranking in both google and bing/yahoo. I do know my rankings in bing are better than in google.

I Do use AdWords for one of funnels soon will be going more to bing and using theirs their ppc to. I am currently growing my list that way and through my sit way

I hope the best

Matt

Hi Matt,

I got nothing against advertisements, but if Google think it is necessary to throw page 1 full with it, then I am out, I came to Google to search for my content and not to find advertisements over the whole page or mixed with shopping portals.

Therefore, and that is a trend I can see now.

Will look more to Bing now and see how I can let that one work for me. Social Media is bringing me most of my traffic now anyway. :))

Google, who needs Google? lol :))

Have a good one and success with your campaign.

Stefan, ToLiNoLi

I totally get what you mean though. If you are searching for your do content and what not.

I agree social media has been a power house for me getting traffic. I also felt like it has been a better experience than the using only SEO to get traffic you know?

Thanks I hope you don’t the same keep that positive mind and helping others do the same.

Matt

Yep! It looks like a booming business plan they have adapted.

Well, I am done with Google, this is just ridiculous and for me as the customer looking for content not acceptable. In the beginning I only saw 2-3 advertisements on the top, but half the page???

If Google wants me to look at that, how about paying me for it only to see it? I want 1$ per advertisement row lol :D

Bing is much better in that concept and I would not be surprised that this trend will continue and Google will lose it's Pole position sooner as they can count to 3...

I also tried Yandex, good search results as well. :))

Lol! I totally agree with the part of being paid to see those ads!
Would you please inbox me the process of bing?

Looking for this one?

Keep a close eye on this Stefan When you get a "present" from Google or Bing, they always want to earn something, they are NOT a philanthropic institution. And when you don't know what you are doing, the next thing can be a bill from over $500 advertisement costs!

Be careful!

Thanks for sharing Loes, perhaps you can add some more info about it here, so others know how important that blog is? :))

Done:)!

Awesome, you Rock Loes! :))

Thanks Loes
