With Nigel Lynch and Jeff Buchanan?
Yes, and I sat through their "orientation" video. Filling out "trial" offers then cancelling them before the trial period is over, I don't think so!
Sorry....looks like scam if this is what you're talking about:

I say that based on researching: copy and paste in search bar online and see.... umbrella local partnerships

I've posted this one before, but no solutions. So I thought I'd give it another whirl. I got and SSL certificate on my website and now my Amazon aStores are invisible. Amazon
Try changing the Astore link to https - see if that works ...
eg http://astore.amazon.com/yourcode change to https://astore.amazon.com/yourcode
OK, this is much moire functional. The text links work, bu tthe Add To Cart Button does not. See here:
https://mydoggiedoodle.com/wellness-core-Og-food/
Sorry, abay, I put the wrong url in there. This page https://mydoggiedoodle.com/page-testing-code/ contains ezason generated links. They show up but they don't work. When you click them they come up with a "page not found" error.
For the amazon aStore link you can see this page https://mydoggiedoodle.com/dog-food-product-reviews-wellness-dog-food/wellness-simple-dog-food/. If you click on a product in the store, a new window will pop up, but the "add to cart" button does not work. The only things that are functional on the store are the text links.
Well, you know who works with the WP and plugins and all that, is our own WA tech support....I think they may be able to figure this out for you. Check and see, if not they pass it on to Kyle or Carson anyways..Good luck. :))
ssl is a secure server license, usually used for ecommerce sites. The difference is that I have my own IP address vs. one that is shared with others.
The reason I have the ssl certificate is so that I have an IP address that belongs only to my site, not one that is shared. These are my reasons for getting the SSL,
The address I had was shared, there were other people using it, and apparently spam reports were posted on 7 different websites in regard to that IP address, therefore, email from that address was not really going out, even though it appeared to be going out.
This was just my choice, to have an IP address that only belongs to my website, and not any others. I do newsletters and I prefer to have the ability to communicate via newsletter through MailPoet, which is a plugin on my website.
Hope this helps your understanding!
Have you gone straight to the WordPress site themselves? I go there when something is not too clear for me. They have lots of tutorials etc.
Okay...though you got help so sorry. What is ssl? I have an Amazon Astore. I will wait for your response.
I'm sorry you didn't get an answer to this one. That forum that Ben is suggesting looks good.
Sandra, there are a lot of wordpress experts on this forum. You can join for free, introduce yourself and then ask for help.

Does anyone know how to make aStores and Amazon widgets work with an ssl cert on your site? Text links work but the stores and widgets have disappeared.
I would love to know too as I was looking at the same thing for one of my dedicated sites. put a eCommerce plugin on it. so I will wait for the answer with eager dissipation.
Hi, Ben. I do have a dedicated IP address now. My site is hot hosted on WA. Because I got the SSL certificate my IP address changed to a dedicated one. Apparently some shared sites on my old IP were listed as spammers and my emails were not being sent from my word press site.
My issue is that now that I have SSL, I am only able to use Amazon text links and widgets, but not the aStore. I was able to get the widgets to work on my own, but I can't figure out the aStore and Amazon Associates has told me it's a Word Press issue and they can't help. Thanks for answering!
Okay Sandra. Don't know anything about aStores unfortunately.
Maybe try posting the question here:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome
Have no idea what you're talking about here, Sandra, but I think I'm going to wait for the answer. :)
Do you really need the SSL cert with Amazon? They have their own secure pay site, I thought. My assumption was that the SSL is for my own website, where I am selling something. I may be wrong...
No, you don't need the SSL certificate in order to sell through Amazon. I have been having issues so I got the SSL for other security reasons. However, now the a stores don't work. I figured out how to get the slideshow and carousels to work, and all the text links work.

UPDATE: I contacted the song author, he is so cool, got back to me in 24 hours. I doubt this is typical, but thanks e
So even if we use APA references when using articles and Videos which I would assume does not breach copyright infringementswhen applying APA, this does not guarantee we wont end up with those nice little letters or emails asking us to "please remove from site..or else" Now I am confused????
So am I, Mike. Based on what others have said you need to know what the copyright is on something. Some allow you to use them and just note the author/origin, others might charge a fee, and I thought anything on You Tube was fair game. I took care of the song I wanted to use, so I guess I won't worry about it until next time.
Meanwhile, I am definitely embedding You Tube videos into my pages.
It was my understanding that anything on You Tube is up for grabs, which is why I thought it was OK. I have contacted the artist and he is an awesome guy. I don't think h'es going to charge me and he sent e a link to a whole album I can use for free. Cool stuff!
Based on the responses in this thread, I'm guessing "no." I even found an online site that will take a video and extract the music from it into and MP3, but I guess there are some severe consequences if you don't have permission.
Basically anything on Youtube is up for grabs as long as you embed the original (so it's linking back to Youtube). This is similar to sharing a post on any social network. Downloading a video and re-posting it in your own player isn't allowed. Also any artist that doesn't want their content shared in that way has the option to select "don't allow embed".
Marion gave you the best advice. You can't just help yourself no matter how many others have done it before. You purchased it for your own personal enjoyment. If it's used in any other way, they can come for you. I got in a lot of trouble with photos at the beginning of my public writing career, even WITH proper attribution. A few cease & desist letters really wake you up. Be careful, Sandra!
Not sure if it's different in the UK but you're not allowed to use it for commercial purposes, just private listening. If you have music that is over 70yrs old then you can use it freely. :)
So what about it the song has been used by somebody to create a totally unrelated video on You Tube?
You still need to refer to the website you downloaded the song from and check the licence or you could be infringing on copyright. Just because someone else has ignored the copyright that doesn't make it legal. Protect yourself by checking the licence. ~Marion
Here's a list of sites from which you can download music free and use in your videos. Check the terms of each creative commons license - as some will require that you credit the creator.

Great resource Jude. Unfortunately for me, I have chosen something obscure and not in the mainstream - big surprise! But I will use this in the future!
I'm not an expert but if you're talking about a song like you'd hear on the radio, you can get into copyright infringement issues. For creative commons songs you buy specifically to use for a video it depends on the license.

Can you use an mp3 file that you buy to create your video?

That happened to me also. So this is what I did I went to yhe website/hosting tab on my profile. Clicked on the email tab at the top created a new email for my site. Name@domainname.com. Right above that Click on the new forward type in the namein the blank field next to the @domainname.com then fill in the forward to your gmail or what ever. This does work. Good luck

Thanks, Tommy. I don't have that site hosted on WA anymore. It's on GoDaddy now. I'll see what I can do over there.
I'm having the same issue, but as the responses here indicate ... I did switch from admin to a personal user. I have gmail. I'm watching the video now. Very glad you posted this! Thank you and God Bless! ~Cathy
It happened to me about 6 weeks ago. I switched to Gmail and no problems. It was with Outlook/Hotmail accounts. Haven't seen it happening lately, though. Check your email notifications in settings to make sure something didn't get unchecked.
Did you switch from the admin user to a more personal one. If so that would be your problem maybe.
I did, but it was working after I made the switch. I don't know, I just have to be sure to check for comments. Hopefully my notifications will come back!

Thanks, Davy but I meant comments on my website, not on WA! I should have been more specific in my question!
Hi Sandra! -
So you did!
Note to self:
Slow down a bit - and read the questions properly!
I will try harder in future!
At least - Alexisnilo - got something out of my mistake! :)

That happened to me for just a slight bit. They would come in to the same email, then I deleted it and then more would show up later with no admin wp awaiting approval, mine seems to be corrected now.
Thanks, Kim. I've seen a few other posts where they have mysteriously stopped and started again. Maybe they'll just come back again!
