Help Welcoming Some New Members
So I see a lot of people doing this and I'm not sure how effective it is. But if anyone wants to give a warm WA welcome to some new members that joined this week, that would be really cool.

Just a quick update. I'm all for helping others here at WA, that's what makes this such an awesome community.
But I think Robert's got it right. You know, out of all the people I had welcomed, non did anything. But out of the ones I leave on their own, they fill out their profile, some sign up, etc.
So I kind of agree with Robert. Otherwise, it's a bit overwhelming for some new members and I think too much pressure. Either new WA members are going to want to create their own businesses, or their just signing up for a free look.
I think we can support each other and better our businesses by doing one on one comments with commenting buddies. Otherwise, it's just a waste of time when you think of all that we have to do with blogging, photos, socially developing our profiles, commenting, etc.
That's my take on it. Anyone else have any thoughts?

If it's someone else's referral I try my best to greet everyone....I periodically check how my referrals are doing and drop a line to message me ...
@tmaltz, as we move forward in Wealthy Affiliates the support increases if we choose to be apart of it and i find there is a lot of emails to go through as it is. The preset welcome messages provide a lot if not enough.
Done but I think it's a numbers game. Those that already put up a pix -- well, you have a better chance. You'll just have to follow up with all of them to do profiles. Congrats.
Personally I think it is a waste of time to do it for referrals that do not even set up their profiles. The majority of them do not become members because they mainly join just as curiosity seekers.
However if a new referral does set up their profile then yes, it could be beneficial.
That's how I felt. But others see it Differently, I'm kinda feel like the strong will succeed the weak will go by the wayside. That's the difference between losers and winners
Everyone has to follow their own views. I just don't see the benefits nor any data that supports doing for members that have no intention of becoming members. Plus, IMO, new members who have yet to complete their accounts could feel overwhelmed and a bit suspicious of so many people welcoming them without any knowledge of who they are.
word. that's how i have felt. but with 50 referrals a month I thought i could increase my conversions. for me, i'm moving on to other sites, WA is an awesome resource and those who don't get it, well that's there loss. but I thought i'd see if it would work or not. Its very effective and important to do as soon as you get the invite notice Todd, it helps the newbies to feel welcomed and decide to finish the sign up process to become members.
This list was quite challenging to do but I got them all, others may not have the time to do them all so I advise as you get them just let the community welcome them, its something we love to do for each other!

People that are going to work an online business usually are not going to be overwhelmed by getting welcomed into the community. Usually with or without any welcomes if they intend to do something they will other wise they never where going to power on sort of speak.
