Contact with a Parallel Universe possible in days
Scientists at LHC strive to make CONTACT with PARALLEL UNIVERSE
March 23, 2015 - The extremely advanced LHC ‘atom smasher’ at the CERN centre in Geneva, Switzerland, will be fired up to its highest energy levels ever in an experiment to detect, or possibly create miniature black holes.
Science will have to rewrite not only physics books but philosophy books as well if successful, as a completely new universe will be revealed.
The experiment will inflame critics of the LHC, who initially warned the high energy particle collider would spell the end of our universe with the creation a black hole of its own. However so far Geneva remains intact and comfortably outside the event horizon.
The LHC has been spectacularly successful so far. First scientists proved the existence of the elusive Higgs boson ‘God particle’ - a key building block of the universe - and are now well on the way to nailing ‘dark matter’ - a previously undetectable theoretical possibility that is now thought to make up the majority of matter in the universe.
Next week’s experiment is considered to be a game changer says Mir Faizal, one of the three-strong team of physicists behind the experiment, saying “Just as many parallel sheets of paper, which are two dimensional objects [breadth and length] can exist in a third dimension [height], parallel universes can also exist in higher dimensions.
If our prediction is correct that gravity can leak into extra dimensions, then miniature black holes can be produced at the LHC.
When people think of the multiverse, they think of the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, where every possibility is actualized. "This cannot be tested and so it is philosophy and not science. What we mean by parallel universes, is real universes in extra dimensions.
A model can be tested by the detection of mini black holes at the LHC. showing that gravity can flow out of our universe into the extra dimensions.
“We have calculated the energy at which we expect to detect these mini black holes in ‘gravity's rainbow’ [a new scientific theory].
“If we do detect mini black holes at this energy, then we will know that both gravity's rainbow and extra dimensions are correct."
The detection of miniature black holes by the Large Hadron Collider could prove the existence of parallel universes and show that the Big Bang did not happen, scientists believe.

Hi Juli-Yes Juli I believe there many different ways to perceive, and also many strands of perception connected to the same web!
They went to parallel worlds by sliding through worm holes and it was always a different scenario where one event from history changed the outcomes of today's world, like wondering what would of happened say...if Lincoln hadn't been assassinated or The attack on Pearl Harbor never happened or if Hitler took over the world.....anyway, it was an awesome show
Dark matter is introduced only because some observations could not be explained by existing theories, like rotation curves of galaxies. So it was more a matter of our incapability to explain facts by models, then reality. Later some physicist introduced effects which were able to explain such rotation curves within existing laws, but the idea of dark matter still remained. So I would not put my money on 'nailing dark matter'. I am not convinced that there is anything dark there.
Physical laws are never rewritten, they would not be laws if this would be the case. They are typically just extended, still remaining valid within certain limits. Newton laws for example are intact after 300 years. Relativity did not ruin anything what they describe, it only pointed out the limits within which they are valid. Satellites going to Mars still follow those same classical laws.

I for some unknown reason am very intrigued with quantum mechanics and string theory, however am just an amateur. I thought this article would be interesting for those unaware with what is currently happening at the CERN centre in Geneva, Switzerland.

Hi Donna great to hear from you-An interesting subject indeed. I wonder where it will lead. I have no doubt that there are many other realities than the one we now perceive, however I have no current scientific data to back that statement up at the moment.
The LHC is amazing! I really don't know if parallel universes can exist but it will be exciting to see what a black hole can do.
One of my thoughts is: how far forward can we move our knowledge of the universe before we happen to "trip the wire" that destroys so much of our gain? Ancient civilizations knew a lot that got destroyed for hundreds, even thousands of years before man recovered and moved further ahead. Would parallel universes, if they exist, create a whole new set of problems? Possibly - or they may just lead to many new questions that man can pursue.
Hi Allyn- great thoughts and questions. I was under the assumption with my limited knowledge of black holes that it could involve time displacement of sorts. And yes, even though mainstream science/archaeology doesn't agree yet- I believe many (what we consider ancient civilizations), knew much more than we now give them credit for, and most surely came across these science discoveries in the past.
As I know, parallel world is pretty close, about 50 centimeters from us, but for science it is another thing. They want to measure, touch and put labels on.

Everybody wants light sabers- Ok how about (for your boat) a compact light saber the size of a large kitchen knife you could use to toast your bread while slicing it?
Using light saber technology, but at a lower power for a new kind of grill, stove top. No more propane. And maybe finally a powerful and efficient electric engine.
That's coming brother, before you know it you'll be sailing around while you are taking a nap in your hammock, or we might wake up tomorrow swinging from the trees and all of this will have been a dream!
