What Internet Marketing Is All About
Here are a few suggestions from an old man in Idaho who has been a member of Wealthy Affiliate for over eight years:
1. Realize that you are going into business and that therefore you need to know some of the ends and outs of business.
2. Realize that you need a business plan which you can prepare an SBA.org with full instructions and at no cost whatsoever.
3. Decide that you will start with a single niche where you have knowledge and passion. You should be an active member of your niche. Spend a great deal of time in selecting your niche. It is so easy to pick a niche that is not profitable where you can spend many months before you learn that fact.
4. Learn how to do keyword research and when you search keep digging and digging and tell you know that you have found a true niche market. There are a lot of members including the owners of Wealthy Affiliate who will help you evaluate your niche. You can even send Kyle (below) or Carson (above) a PM asking for their opinion on your niche. Make sure you have important relevant keywords in your domain name.
5. Remember quality over quantity especially when it comes to information that you are providing on your website. Make your purpose to provide that kind of information, not to make money. Establish yourself as an expert by acquiring knowledge in your area and using that knowledge to help others solve their problem. Then you will be able to suggest a solution to a problem that could bring you income.6. Create a mailing list so you can stay in contact with possible clients. Continue to provide them good information with the emphasis on their well-being and not your income. Providing a newsletter or a free gift can help encourage folks to join your mailing list.
7. The most important person on your website is not you. It is the person who has made a search for information that he or she needs to solve a problem. Your visitor is looking for quality relevant information and the keywords that you use on your website must be relevant to the keywords that your reader used when he clicked on your URL. If he or she doesn’t immediately find what he is looking for, he will be gone in a minute. Nobody is going to stick around to read your great information if it is not what they are looking for. Think to yourself if you were a member of your niche, which I said you should be, what would you be looking for?

I'm doing good, and you? Still plugging away at my site. Haven't made much progress with it, but haven't given up. Been working on a novel so that takes a bit of time. :) Take care and have a great weekend. :)
