One of THOSE months.

March has come and gone and I'm still standing flatfooted, scratching my head, and going, "Whuh????"

The world's been going wonky yet again and the day-job keeps serving up strangenesses that have distracted me from my latest best-laid blogging plans for my LIFE-BUILT POEMS: Living Out Loud thing which have had to take a back seat to things like:

(a) the swarm of bees who decided that the ceiling space between the floors of a two-story house was the perfect place to set up a hive (just when I was hitting my stride showing the thing to prospective tenants),

(b) soothing crumpled feelings brought on by terse email communications between tenant and owner who used to be all warm-and-fuzzy with each other,

(c) trying to track down the cause of a kid's mysterious allergy that maybe-could be house-related, and

(d) serving as go-between to keep an escalating incipient war from exploding between owner and tenant when the guy tenant dumped his girlfriend, presenting his move-out without her as a done deal, and the owner took her side (plus, for a while, there was the matter of his Someday project car that looked like it was going to get left behind when the guy took off)

and so on and so forth. There's still a bunch of other incipient strangeness in the offing as well. (Oy!)

I keep being reminded that all you can do is just keep putting one foot in front of the other even if you have to make side-trips to deal with more than everyday weird.

I also had to keep reminding myself that the old cliché is wrong: Business is nothing BUT personal. (It has to be. There are all these PEOPLE involved in it.)

I have managed to keep working on adding internal backlinks to my inventory of older posts for my blog and I keep asking for more comments from you guys when I finish reworking the posts as a reward for my efforts. (You say such thoughtful things, people! They often add other dimensions to the posts.)

I did want to thank all of the people who took the time to comment in a meaningful way on the posts when I do my weekly "Mass Ask." You guys do help me figure out whether I'm hitting the mark I've set for each post. (Sometimes I do well enough; sometimes not so much.)

I've begun adding my old IPS (Inner Peace Symptom) aphorisms and such to a new page on the blog. (There are actually close to 3,000 of the durned things so that's going to take a while.).

The stack of IPS things will serve as a springboard for new post ideas or other iterations of existing ones, I am thinking. I may have a resource for making small-kine ebooks with the things even.

Mostly right now, I think, I am working on remembering that I have made a genuine commitment to personal excellence and I will keep trying to do that. It does make me feel good despite the extra dance steps.
