A Mind on Blogging.
The thing about putting together posts for a weblog as you're working toward gathering enough bits and pieces to morph into a book is that you apparently develop a set of filters that help you determine which stories are yours to tell and which are not.
You construct stances and deconstruct them, rework them and make them more relevant to new circumstances and situations and generally play with them in the process.
As I go along trying to develop my LIFE-BUILT POEMS: Living Out Loud site, I am uncovering a lot of my own tangled-up contradictory beliefs and things that run contrary to what I am learning in all these mind- and thought-explorations.
Some of these outdated beliefs are like old baby blankets that have been worn down from constant use that are not so useful for much of anything except comfort, I suppose.
Often the comfort-pieces are leftovers from previous life-lessons that have since proven to be not as true as I once believed (or which are sometimes dead wrong). They're stuff that I've never had a chance to air out and check for mold and mildew and weak spots.
Other topics are built around stuff that people I've respected told me over the years which have since proven out not-so-good as life-strategies or which are ill-fitting ideas that really don't make much sense when you think about it....
And so on.
Sometimes, too, the commentary I get from the posts I write and publish causes me to think again or to take the exploration further along other roads and to see other people's worlds and viewpoints more clearly. They can cause minor explosions in my head as well as aha! moments.
It is all a learning process and it's proving to be invaluable for my own self-development.
I do want to thank the people who take the time to comment on my posts in a thoughtful and considered way. It adds so much to my own ways of thinking and, I am sure, it adds a great deal to my users' experiences of the site as well.
Keep on, my friends! It's all good!

There must be another phrase for a re-discovered journey of self-discovery. Having once discovered, only then to go back and discover something different than your first discovery.
Revisiting old posts can also rekindle thoughts and viewpoints that have been forgotten due to being over written by a multitude of subsequent thoughts and viewpoints.
I can think of no other way to comment on your web posts, they require thought and consideration.
Yay! It's actually working! I love that you think the only way to comment on my posts is with thought and consideration.
Thank you, TwAck!
Actually, I don't know that there IS a word for "RE-discovery." Only thing I can come up is "recycling," but that can't be right. Hmmm....

So very welcome Netta,
(I think the 're-discovery' conundrum might be one rabbit hole too far, I'll keep it on the back burner for now and see if something pops up.)
