Did I Just Had a Burnout?

Last weekend, I just could not do any more work.

For months, I had been juggling my part time teaching gig with my online affiliate marketing businesses that includes creating and publishing YouTube videos, writing blog posts, promoting on social media, and not forgetting all the engagement with audience on my website, my YouTube channels, and social media.

Btw, teaching in Singapore is not easy. Lots of admin to do. Then have to deal with some annoying students. And yet, overall, I do enjoy it. There are more nice students than annoying ones. And I do enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience. It makes me happy.

By last Friday, I felt a need to just not do anything for the weekend.

And I really did not.

I simply watched TV shows, chilled and relaxed.

And started to think about what I have been doing and where all of it was heading towards.

And it was all good!

The rest was what I needed. Lying in bed and watching YouTube videos most of the day was what I needed.

Somehow, the rest helped my mind to recharge. To refocus.

And today, I am ready again.

Although still not at full charge, I felt ready to begin again.

And then I saw some posts regarding this - Research to Profits Step-By-Step: 14 Day LIVE Case Study (wealthyaffiliate.com)

I had seen it previously on Kyle's blog. And I sort of lapsed on this (by not starting to promote about it).

So, today, with my energies going to full charge, I will start to promote it.

Anyone who went through what I went through, just know - it is ok to be not ok. Just pick yourself up when it is time, and move forward. CHARGE AHEAD!!!

Since I've joined W.A., I never felt the need for T.V. I always find time for myself on W.A. We just have to plan our day friend. It may not be always as planned, but most of the time it does. Make it happen. Lol! All the best!

That's nice, BrightSales. But as @JeffreyBrown said - all work and no play ........

I do plan my time. Every hour is all planned. That is how I can juggle part time teaching, taking care of my Mom, and 2 online businesses. I even teach time management courses. hahaha

Have a great day! :)

My schedule is busy too friend. It's just that I never felt that I can't do anything before and after joining W.A. There is always something to do.
Each one of us is different with their every day tasks. It is funny that you said you teach time management courses and yet you've done the opposite. Was it planned? Lol!
As I've pointed out, sometimes it may not always be as planned. But it's okay. We're human. All the best!

All work and no play makes all of us dull girls or boys, Timotheus!

It was good that you got the rest and recharge!

Jeff

Thanks Jeffrey. Yes, it was good. A short rest and good.
Now, I am ready for the 14 Day Live Case Study, and Black Friday/Cyber Monday coming soon. :)

I think it will be informative for sure, Timotheus!

Jeff

I was just there. And I saw you too! :)

I was late. hehe

But it's ok. There's replay. Yay!!!

Me too, Timotheus. There is replay, but I also got the jist of it!

Jeff

Yes, you did
But you had a rest
Welcome back
Now you know the signs and you are more aware
I wish you well on your journey

Thanks Simone. You are right.
Wish I can have a longer rest.
But there's the 14 Day Live Case Study to promote.
And after that - Black Friday!

I'll take a nice long break after that.
I hope.
haha :)

And thank you!
I wish you immense wealth and success!

No more burnout ;)

Welcome back Timotheus

Joce

Thank you Joce! :)

Hi Tim, I have had this happen to me twice in the 2+ years I've been here and I just shut down for a few days and started fresh.

I think I came back better for doing nothing with my business for a few days and not feeling guilty about it.

In fact from next Monday, I will be missing here in the community for 4 days as I am taking my mum away for a holiday to the local wineries. I will be taking my computer but I doubt that I will want to not be present in that special time with my aging mum and that's ok.

We must draw the line between dedication and over-achieving sometimes.

Lily

Thanks, Lily. It is comforting to know this is the norm.

4 days at wineries! That is a vacation that I like, too. Maybe some day.

Have a great time with your Mom! Let us know which wine is the choice.

I will but we are cheap drunks. Lol

Lily

:) Me too! I've learned from rich people like Warren Buffet to not spend $ on things like that. Better to put the $ into investments, and watch it grow :)

Absolutely! We are looking forward to just being in a beautiful country area with rolling hills and vineyards, having a horse-drawn carriage taking us around, and eating at beautiful restaurants.

Now, all we need are sunny skies.
Lily

Oh, that sounds so lovely! I can just see it all in my mind.

You are very lucky to enjoy such a beautiful world. In Singapore, it is all buildings and more buildings. There are some nature reserves and nearby islands, but not within easy access.

Have a marvelous time for all of us, Lily! :)
