If I have Google XML Sitemaps and All in One SEO Pack both active is there a conflict between both?

Is Yoast better than the SEO all in one plugin?
Michelle

Don't want to interject if this question isn't aimed at me. Just to be sure

Yes it is can you help?

I had the same thing as I used an SEO plugin called Yoast SEO. For The reason being I had discontinued with AIO.

I moved onto Google xml before I had changed SEO plugin to Yoast.

So when I activated the Yoast plugin. Not knowing that Yoast had a built in Xml site maps included.

Because I had both activated, they both counter-active as they both cancelled each other out.

If you wish to keep both active as plugins on your website you may have to turn xml off on 1 of those plugins which you can change in the settings in the plugin section of your back office in Wordpress, or discontinue the Google xml as you need an SEO pack active on your website.

I hope this is understandable and helpful.

Kind Regards

Shan

its definitely redundant if you have the xml turned on for AIO.

Thank you BenjisDad..what is AIO?

OH....All in one. Got it.

How do I know if I have the xml turned on for AIO?

Hi - is it a video restricted to premium members only? I believe that visitors need to sign up to an account to be able to view it.

Well, that's good question..not sure. How would I determine that, Diane?

Hi - if you type Pinterest into the search bar, it comes up with a whole list of material related to it, some of which say premium at the side of them.

ok, thank you, I'll look at that...but would that restrict a visitor from viewing it, do you know?

I presume so. There would be no point to having a premium membership level if the content at WA was visible to outsiders.

ok, thanks.

So I ended up working with Site Support and they said the video belongs to another member and I cannot use it. So, I got something similar from YouTube and it's just perfect.

hmm...interesting

yup..I post articles on my site and on Pinterest and refer back to video's here at WA, which we can do. I have one that goes directly to the video if you click as a visitor..the other one I'm trying to post won't work and I've tried several different video's so not sure what's going on??! Oh well, maybe a real techie will see this and respond.

Site Support? That is a technical issue. If I was at that stage and had knowledge I would've said so. I didn't mean to respond condescendingly or uncaringly blunt.

I can't seem to get the media insertion for one of my webpages "insert from url" to act correctly?

If I'm still running on a siterubix account, can I still get my site verified and get Google to index it? I looked at some 2014 training..no help. Have not f

I see it's already answered.

check site map it would say yes or no about google indext you. if yes, you are. siterubix is free to you.

Thank you.

The straight up answer is yes.
Laurie has given you some great suggestions. If everything complies.
Tim I think purchasing a dot com site would be in your best interest. The benefits far out weigh the cost.

Good advice, I did after Laurie’s note! Thanks Iesabre.

Hi Tim,

here is another link

I have never built a siterubix site only paid domains. But here is another link by Marion in December 2018

Thank you BradB18!

Good luck

Hi - have you followed the process to verify your website with Google Search Console? You need to do that, submit a sitemap, and then request indexing as new content is published.

So - first, you need to verify your website with Google Search Console: Then, you need to submit your sitemap, and finally request indexing for individual posts as they're published.

This is training by Marion Black on submitting your sitemap to Google Console: Next, this training covers how to submit new posts for indexing as you publish them: -Laurie

I'm on it, thank you..but are you sure it will work with a siterubix type site? I tried that but says I'm not the owner.

I have not read anything to indicate that it wouldn't work with a SiteRubix website. But come to think of it, WA is the owner of the SiteRubix websites, not the members.

Regardless, I highly recommend that you purchase your own domain if you are able. WA owns the SiteRubix websites; they are "practice websites". You will not be able to sell or move a SiteRubix website, and a subdomain URL never looks as professional to a visitor. You are infinitely better off owning your own website.

I had my free siterubix website verified the other day, so it does work, your website wont be index most of the time for at least 4 days.

Thank You BruteMasterr

Thought it might be an issue...I'm going through the training you sent over and will see if I get lucky. Thanks again, NewLaurie.

The name I gave my siterubix name is not available as a domain name. Does it matter if I used a different official domain name?

It could matter quite a bit. But if you start with a suterubix site to begin with. Don't spend any money yet. Maybe go for something like AtoZAffiliateMarketing or... whatever. This is a training site, so the name is not too important. Get some training under your belt first, because you are going to change your mind about quite a few things - your name is probably one of them.

Thank you Lisa.

Not at all! Your .com domain will essentially be your brand though, so make sure it is unique to you (branding with your name) or related to your niche (branding by topic, service, product related terms).

Always good advice, thank you cris2018!

Did you try http://www.namemesh.com, this site helps you come up with domain names for your particular niche. I used it for my site and was very helpful in generating good domain names. Try to choose domains with dot-com (.com) are the most common. Hope this helps.

Great recommendation thank you Robpod.

Thanks for the in sight on namemesh I will keep it in mind when start making my site

What are your niche is the first question that you have to think about. Then go research some domain names that go with your niche. You can do this like keyword research use words that have high traffic. I didn't do this and think that is why I am drawing traffic at a slow rate, but I will keep it because this what I wanted as a brand. Be smart with your domain name because it will help you draw traffic. I hope this helps, please like my comments, thanks Sruffey.

Make sense to me. i have to think this over for a while...thanks Sruffey.

No it doesn't matter, you'll just want to change the title of your page to reflect your new domain
