Ok, now that I have your attention using my four year old German Shepard, I wanted to mention a few things I've learned about Blogging here at Wealthy Affiliate.

  • When I first clicked on the Pencil icon on top right of your Dashboard, I was reminded that there is are few rules I need to follow. I found this guidance in several places. The writing space on this page has a link at the very bottom about blogging at WA. When I clicked and read the content, I saw another opportunity on the next page to click and was taken to another page with a full set of rules. I strongly urge everyone to read both these resources...or blog at your own pearl!
  • Grammer and spelling...yup, I've seen in my own blogs that I missed a few items. Rushing to get a blog published caused me to slip up on these two things..easy to do if your not paying attention. So I'm just saying, be sure to review, then review one more time before you hit the Publish button.
  • Blogs are better delivered when I stay on one thread..that is essentially one topic per blog. I think more clearly about one topic and the tends to flow better which could improve readership and hopefully spur some comments as well.
  • I try as much as possible to be informational or instructive. Along that line, my first post was on 'lessons learned' and I got some good feedback from people that was very helpful and was the idea behind this post. Reminders on these things from time to time keep us sharp and focused on what we're communicating and who the intended audiance is.
  • One last item before I forget...the comments I read on various blogs are so encouraging and helpful for the most part. Talk about affirmation when you've done a good job. Great stuff!
