Black Friday - Game Changer or Just Another Sale?
Black Friday is here, which means there's sales everywhere.
And as most of you know, Wealthy Affiliate is also having a sale right now. You can score yourself an entire year of Premium for only $299, which works out to about 82 cents per day.
Or about 1/3 of the price of an average cup of coffee!
It's pretty cool.
But this epic saving isn't what I want to focus on here. What I want to share with you today is what this "sale" can really mean for you.
Let me explain...
It's super easy to get caught in a 'spending frenzy' during this time of the year. Thinking about all the things you want and how much money you can save if you buy now etc.. but this Black Friday sale event within Wealthy Affiliate is SO much more than this.
Why?
Because it's not just about saving yourself some cash, it is about committing to your success.
As someone who has gone from complete newbie, to earning a full time income, I can safely say that THE biggest reason I've been able to reach this (beyond everything WA offers) is PERSISTENCE.
Persistence is the key to reaching your goals. And I have experienced this first hand.
You see, even when you have your hands on a platform like Wealthy Affiliate, with the most advanced tools, training and support in the industry, this does NOT guarantee your success.
Think about it like this for a moment...
You could have the EXACT plans to build a classic model aircraft, knit a colorful themed sweater or plant a beautiful organic vegeatble garden. But if you don't put the effort in, and push through the ups and downs that are innevitable, you are not going to succeed.
Rather, you will get part way through building, knitting or cultivating and give up. Because "it was hard" or "it took too long" or "you got frustrated".
This is why you NEED persistence above anything else if you want to be successful at what you set your mind to, and building your online business is no exception.
Being successful as an entreprenuer takes a lot of persistence, especially during the beginning stages when everything is so newto you, and while you are only just starting to build out your business.
Which brings me back to why I am writing this today...
The Black Friday sale isn't just about "saving some money" like all the other sales you see going on. This Black Friday is about investing in yourself and committing to your success.
By giving yourself a full year to learn, build and grow your business, you are putting yourself in the BEST shape possible to reach your goals. You are committing to taking massive action and you are committing to being persistent.
Which means you are committing to getting RESULTS.
I sometimes wonder what my life would like now if I had not found WA and if I had not given myself enough time to reach my goals.
Here's what my life would probably look like now:
- I'd be stuck in my old construction business (hating every minute of it)
- I'd have no time for myself or to spend with people I love and care about
- I'd probably still be looking for the 'secret formula' to online success (lol)
- I would never have had the chance to connect with such awesome people here
- I would never be free to travel wherever I want
- I would be waking up to my dreaded alarm clock at 5-6am every morning
- I'd be stuck in traffic 3-4 hours per day, 5-6 days per week
- ... on and on and on...
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that life is 'perfect' for me now LOL. I still work hard and I still have problems, just like anyone else. I have my ups and downs, my failures and my successes.
But I've made a quantum leap thanks to WA and thanks to giving myself the time I needed to reach my goals, and to continue reaching new goals I set.
And the same can be true for YOU too.
Whatever your circumstances, wherever you are at, whatever your goals... you can do this. If you put the work in and stay the course you WILL succeed.
It's just a matter of time.
Success doesn't happen overnight, it is the result of consistent hard work and following the proven processes WA lays out for you.
So to sum it up, Black Friday is not just another sale here at WA. It is THE best possible way to commit to your success and to make a positive change in your life.
Invest in yourself, take action and most of all- never give up.

Lots of good points, Tim. Paying up front means commitment to me. I'm too frugal to risk losing a whole year of payments, so, I'm committed to continue. I also love a sale, especially a good one with a decent discount. Now I'm committed to a year. I'll see what I can do in that year.

There is nothing I would love more than to get my yearly
membership but being on a fixed income and being new
I cannot afford to do so this year :(
This is not because I do not want to this is because I
cannot afford to!!
I realize what you are saying but some of us do not have
the financial option to take advantage of this being new
but if I did I would have been watching for the banner
at the top of my screen to light up and waiting until I
could get to the pay screen and paid :)
My commitment is deep and even tho I cannot afford the
yearly premium right now I will still be here next year
same time same channel God willing :)

Totally understand Susan, that is no reflection whatsoever on your resolve. If you can't afford it yet then you can't afford it. You are still committing to yourself by being here and taking action, and that is what matters most of all :)
My intention with this post is to shed some light on the 'bigger picture' of what this Black Friday sale means, beyond just saving a few bucks. That's all.

Perhaps you could sell things on eBay or Gumtree or something. The savings over monthly membership are so compelling. I agree with key point Tim is making, there’s so many advantages of committing to your own success. Thanks for the inspiration Tim

For me to be successful I have seen on your post that commitment is the key.
Commitment/ persistence is definitely the key. If this is the ONE thing you bring to the table, you are in the best shape to create success within your business.
