About TimMcKinlay

Hi there, my name it Tim. :)

I'm a 32 y/o guy from Australia who went from running a small construction business, to earning 6 figures per year with affiliate marketing.

I am not a guru though.

I am just someone who believes you can achieve anything you set your mind to, as long as you believe in yourself and commit 100%. And this isn't just motivational speak, this is what I live by.

This is how I:

- Quit my old construction gig
- Became a "super affiliate"
- Met Kyle, Carson, Jay (and other cool people here) in person
- Work when I want, where I want, how I want- doing something I love

My "secret" to success:

- Follow the training, use the tools, ask for help when you need it
- Believe in yourself
- Never. Ever. Quit.

You can do this. The ONLY person standing between you and your goals, is you. And when you know this, I mean really know this, you will know that you have the power to choose how your story plays out.

Feel free to drop me a comment below, I'd love to hear from you! :)

cool Bio Tim. I'm not a newbie but IM stuff has never materialized for me for whatever reason. After so many years in this industry, I think just working with WA is probably a good thing. I think I was doing too many things before, so focusing on WA would be good. My main reason to join is to promote WA and make affiliate commissions. I'm not interested in niche sites or all that other stuff. I already know I am passionate about affiliate marketing so that is what my site will be about.

I read some of your blog and I saw that you had a lot of articles around other programs. How did you find these programs? I actually think this is a great idea to write reviews on them and then create a diversion to WA.

Thanks Tim, chat later..I gotta go to work..(yuk)..

later buddy,

Hey Beau,

Yeah I think you're on the right track, focussing on one main thing is a good strategy, and seems to be what leads to success. What you will learn here is definitely able to help you create a successful business, so all you need to do is learn and apply.

You will learn how to create good content including reviews in the Bootcamp training. As well as how to find good keywords and products to review. So I recommend getting stuck into that and you will learn everything you need to know.

It's not so much about creating a diversion as it is just about naturally recommending something you believe in. There's a lot of BS out there, so by giving people honest reviews and recommending something that actually works, you are not only helping people but will create a lot of success yourself. It's a win win.

If there's anything you need along the way, just let me know. :)

BTW, if you read my profile, one of the countries I visited was Australia. It was about 30yrs ago (1988 I believe). We ported in Sydney, Perth and Brisbane. All I remember was I had a really good time..I mean really good time..lol..

Sure thing, I will focus on that training. I know some SEO so going thru that training will improve my understanding overall. Boy if you're not focused on this thing, there is so many areas to mess around in WA..lol

Just purchased a domain and setting up WP now..

Talk later,

Hey,
I was about to ask for help figuring out how to write about cbd products, but I found another person's website, who's doing affiliate marketing in that field, and their website answered my question right before I could ask it. XD Anyways, you already know the topic, but it looks like I'm going to be starting 2nd website. XD

hey quick question I am sure this is in the training somewhere but I do not remember where, anyway I have a duplicate menu on my header as well as my sidebar and the video I watched shows me how to add and remove from the sidebar but I cant figure out how to remove the widget menu's from the header. I would prefer to remover the header menu just because of the way my theme is set up. If you could lend a hand I would much appreciate. Thanx
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Hi Tiara,

So the menu section is separate to the widget section, which may be what's causing the confusion here.

Basically to edit the top menu on your site.. login, click on "appearance" on the left hand side menu, and then click on "menus". From there you can edit your menus to how you want them.

Also, this training will help you out: Let me know if you have any other questions going forward. :)

Oh wow. I don't get around to reading my emails as quickly as I'd like, so I just finished reading an email you sent me when I first joined WA 5 days ago. So, I'm setting here drinking my coffee in the AM on my couch and parroozing on WA before I get ready for my 9-5 (this is just some time of my day I spend investing into WA 🙃) and I was also scanning my emails and wow, reading your story resonated with me so much and I got emotional and even more fired up to continue reaching my goals here with WA. There's a sense of security, for lack of a better word, when you work with people who you can relate to. I'm just so ready to change my life for the better and I just wanted to say Thank You!

Yeah I know what you mean, connecting with like-minded folks is a huge thing on this journey. It makes a big difference being able to ask questions whenever you want too.

You absolutely can do this. There will be struggles and times you doubt things, I experienced this myself. So it's not a smooth, easy ride to success. But as long as you follow the training, take action, and keep moving forward no matter what, you will make it.

Anyways Nicole, thanks for reaching out here, and I look forward to working with you going forward! :)

Hey Jim,

You've actually asked this question on my profile (not Kyles) so I will answer your question here.

I personally wouldn't be too concerned about Adsense.

Firstly, getting approved can be difficult for a new site without much content and/ or traffic. So this is likely why they rejected your site, there's just not enough content on it yet.

Second, even if/ when you do get approved, the money you will make from Adsense is VERY low. You need mountains of traffic to make even a small amount of money. Affiliate marketing is FAR more powerful for the sites we are building. So you are not missing out on much at all by not using Adsense.

Focus on building out your site, and promoting relevant affiliate offers and you will be in a much better position to earn revenue with your site.

Hope this helps.

Hey Tim how's it going?
I was just wondering if you had a couple minutes to review my site. I am on lesson 5 of training level 3. I feel like I'm moving right along seeing as I've only been a member for a couple of weeks now. But I was hoping to see where I'm at in the eyes of a coach. I would like your feedback on my website as a whole but also in particularly my post on types of tents and how I integrated my Amazon affiliate links. I'm not sure if it's good how it is or if it's too unnoticible to create traffic. My website domain is thetentkings.com. The link to my types of tents post is https://thetentkings.com/the-types-of-tents-for-camping-choosing-the-right-tent/.

Thank you for your time and Insight!

Hey Alexander,

Your site and content is looking excellent so far, nice work.

As a default rule of thumb, if in doubt, follow how Kyle shows you to insert affiliate links: What you have done is okay, but the problem is it's not clear you are sending the visitor to Amazon. Which could lead to your Amazon Associates account getting banned.

So option #1: Keep your content as is, but at the end of each section, include a link like "View Canvas Tents on Amazon". Make it clear the link is for Amazon and have one link at the end of each section (ie each type of tent).

Option #2: A more advanced method, is to keep the content as is, but do not include affiliate links at all in that post. Since it's more of an educational post anyway. So at the end of each section of that article, you could insert a link that says "Check out my top rated canvas tents" and that link takes them to a page you create like for example, "Top 10 Canvas Tents for 2019" which does have lots of affiliate links in it.

This is an effective strategy because it can help your more educational posts (like this one is) rank better. Not every post needs to have an affiliate link. Some can (and should) be strictly educational, with links to other educational pages both inside and outside your site. This can lead to a better overall experience for your readers and potentially better rankings. And you have a set number of "money pages" that you then link those posts to, that can be chock full of affiliate links.

This is a more advanced strategy and I probably shouldn't be even telling you this because it might confuse you at this point. But something to consider.

Also, just a tip, I would remove that top image on your site. That is not doing you any favours. Will slow down your site and detracts from the user experience. I'd remove that. You want your content to be the most immediately visible aspect of your site when someone lands on the page.

If you want more feedback, shoot me a private message and I will get back to you or use the SiteFeedback function within the Website tab to your left.

Hi Tim. I need your help with what to call this niche I am thinking about. I was looking for something educational. I remembered an app I bought for my grandson -it's called ABC Mouse. I would like to promote it. What do you think about it and what could I call it?
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Hi Sena,

Okay so in this case, your niche would be something like "early learning" or "fun education for children". This would be the group of people you are targeting with your site. As in, parents wanting to help their children develop learning skills etc.

What you call your site is up to you but it should be some kind of brand that resonates with your audience. And something simple. Anything really, it doesn't have to have a keyword in it.

Then, whatever you name your site, make this your domain name as well.

For example, if you decide to name your site "Little Learning Blog" (I know that's a ridiculous name lol) then you would buy the domain LittleLearningBlog [.] com.

And since your site is going to be all about early learning, you can naturally promote the ABC Mouse app or something similar.

I won't go into any more detail here because everything you need to know is within the training. But this should give you a nice starting point.

Let me know if you have any other questions. :)

Now that i have completed the training i would like to begin creating other websites keeping the focus on the particular nich associated with that site and any reviews relating to that nich,

Please advise me on this. also how or where i can find reletive themes for my websites.

Hi Elizabeth,

Yeah you will definitely need to become an Amazon affiliate to get your affiliate links and start promoting their products. It's free and easy to signup though:

https://affiliate-program.amazon.com

It's up to you how you use images on your site. I use Amazon images on my niche sites as long as I am linking to the product page of that image, either within the image or very close to it.

Hi, Tim, I so very new to this WA. Nice blog!
There doesn't seem to be a lot of people from Australia on WA. I was wondering if there was any difficulty working with WA because we come from Aus. For example laws in AM, like GST or selling products, etc
When I follow the training program goes deeper, do Aus laws change anything?
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Hi Emmanuel.

I'm not a lawyer or an accountant so I can't advise you on these. What I can say is that I'm from AU and I don't have any issues. The reason there's more people from the US is because a lot more people from the US are online in general. Australia, along with other countries like Canada, UK, NZ etc only make up a relatively small portion of overall internet users.

Any advise? I know I am the only on can tell about me, but my writing seems so redundant.

Hi Elizabeth,

When it comes to your about page, just try to keep it simple. Write a paragraph about who you are, another about what your site is about and one more for why you started it. That's it.

The key is not to overthink it and keep it simple and authentic.

You can always change it down the road anyways, which almost everyone does. So just put whatever you can up for now :)

Also, use the SiteFeedback tool to get some feedback on your page once you're done if you want. This can be helpful.

Not sure what to do. Very embarrassed.
Maybe i should give up.
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Hi Laura,

Whether or not you give up is up to you. This is a new venture so there are obviously going to be times where you are unsure about what you're doing. That's just the reality of learning anything new.

Making mistakes, getting stuck, etc etc.. none of these are the deciding factors of your success. What matters is how you handle these hurdles. If you quit when things get tough, you will not succeed. Plain and simple. If you push on, no matter what, you eventually will succeed. It's all about persistence.

I also want to assure you that there is absolutely no need to feel embarrassed. I went over the training more than once myself and I have made MANY mistakes in my journey to get where I am now. It's OK to make mistakes, this is part of the journey. In fact, if you're not making mistakes, you aren't doing it right (lol). What I suggest is that you just go back to the start of the training, take your time, complete each task as you go. You CAN do this so just take your time and keep moving forward. Also, ask questions at the end of each lesson if there is anything you are unsure of, because this will help you push past these hurdles with ease.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I have a question about the last video of choosing my niche why is it a suggest that I don't
promote WA and my own niche. I have two areas that I feel very strongly of to promote. That is learning how to run an online business, and the fishing industry.
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
You can promote anything you want really. It's just that Kyle, and myself, does not really recommend starting with 2 sites. It's not that you can't promote both, it's that running 2 sites at the same time, as well as going through 2 separate courses, at the very beginning of your journey, is overload. It could easily lead to overwhelm.

To clarify the last part of what I said... there are 2 different courses within the training tab- Online Entrepreneur Certification and Affiliate Bootcamp (see screenshot). OEC is the course you would take for your fishing site, whereas Affiliate Bootcamp is dedicated to teaching you how to promote WA.

So to sum it up- totally up to you what you do, but I recommend working with ONE site in ONE niche, and going through ONE course to begin with. Whichever that may be. Then, once you're earning revenue, branch out into other sites from there.

Hope this helps, and by all means reach out if you have any other questions!

Hi Tim!! I am totally a newbie to this as I just signed up last night as a starter member. My question do you have to purchase the premium to make money?? I like the idea of value the people not so much for the money, but the money would really come in handy.
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Hi Amanda,

You definitely get a lot of value as a free Starter member and you can make money with the free sites. They do rank in Google, which means you can get traffic, and if you can get traffic then you can make affiliate sales.

However, as a Starter member, you are not getting ALL of the tools, training and support you need to take your business all the way.

So even though it is a cost I always recommend going Premium because you get literally everything you will ever need to build a profitable online business.

With that being said, I also recommend you give yourself at least 6-12 months as a Premium member because this is the reality of how long it takes to build a business of substance. Too many fake gurus try to fool people into thinking it takes only a few weeks or months, but this is simply not true. Building a real business takes time and a lot of effort (especially at first) so I do recommend giving yourself the time you need to succeed, and budget this cost in accordingly.

If you can't upgrade, that is ok. Don't feel pressured or anything. I am just wanting to be completely upfront with you about what to expect is all. If you can it is very much worthwhile but if all you can do is use the free account then that is better than nothing and over time you will hopefully be in a position to upgrade.

If you have any other questions please let me know! :)

In the meantime, my hands are tied unless you will do a check. I really don't want to lose this opportunity, please extend the time or come up with something! Thank you, Vicky

Hi Vicky,

I personally have zero control over billing, since I do not own Wealthy Affiliate. I am a member like anyone else. However, what I can say is that you can definitely upgrade to Premium later down the road, not a problem at all. And I will make sure you still get your bonuses, just reach out to me after you upgrade.

If you have any other questions in the meantime, just let me know. :)

Hello Tim,
Thanks for steering me away from "another scam" on the internet. I was about to sign up with the "Point 2 Click" deal. I was very uncomfortable with the notion of a "Black Box". Some how, I believe that this community is legit. I just wanted to drop a quick note before I go to church this morning. I already completed the first video presentation.

Tim, I had a question..my first website is what I'm working on and I have decided to use the "niche" or "NFL Football Jerseys" My keyword that I was going to start a topic on was "New England Patriots Football Jerseys - 6X Superbowl Champions". I was thinking about doing a blog within the web page for all "52" teams. I would be trying to get them to purchase an NFL jersey of their favorite team of course. Should I be utilizing a keyword topic in a different way? What are your thoughts? I want to do this somewhat good so its at least average successful. Thanks for your time.

I have no money left as I told you when I said I was going to join premium=m. a fixed income of very little is why I am take this free site to build a web site I understand it cost but I understood to make money to grow would happen. silly I know but I am stuck. Hi Valerie,

You don't have to buy your own domain name, but it is worthwhile if you can afford the $14 per year. The other option is to simply use a free domain (.siterubix.com).

To choose a free domain:

1) Go to this page - https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/build

2) Click "on a free domain"

3) Build your site by following the prompts (also refer to the steps in the training if need be).

Hope this helps, and let me know how you go!

Thank you Tim for the following and such a positive message. I truly have hope of reaching my goals again since joining WA. The positive and knowledgeable support here is a true blessing; especially since my significant other is repeatedly telling me my "efforts won't work" and that "we tried making money on the Internet before and it didn't work". It is a good thing I am very stubborn and determined to make this work. :)
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
I can very much relate to that. Unfortunately even well meaning people we love can have that outlook, and it's understandable given how many scams/ low quality programs exist within the online world. Some of my family, friends and acquaintances were the same so I know how it feels. Being part of the WA community definitely helps with this so I'm glad you are getting amongst it.

It's also good that you are stubborn and determined. Determination was a huge factor in getting to where I am now in my business and this is what I always reinforce to people I work with. Stick with it no matter what, because your efforts will pay off in spades if you are persistent. Whereas if you quit after not making money within a month or two, you'll never know what you could have achieved.

Anyways thanks for commenting and it's great to be working with you. :)

Hi Tim, Thank you. I am hoping you can help me out. I want to know more about my relationship with WA. For example, If I want to sell my website in a few years to someone outside WA, is that possible? Can I take my domain name with me If I decide to leave WA? Is the website building tool a proprietary software owned by WA? I am very interested in proceeding, but I need a better understanding of the relationship.
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Hi Stephen,

Yes, you absolutely can sell your website whenever you like. You can also transfer it to another host at any time you like. So you are not "locked in" to WA at all.

Ditto with the domain.

WA uses WordPress but adds a lot of functionality to it and with the web hosting and user interface here in WA, it just makes your life easier and gives you more functionality. In other words, WA makes WordPress a whole lot better and simpler for you.

Hi Tim, I'm eager to get this started, but I have very limited funds. Is there a way I could talk to you by phone? I'm usually available after 5:00pm pacific time. I would really like to get together by phone to figure out what my options will be. Thank you.
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Hi Janet,

I can understand that. But I don't do phone calls as part of this business, nor do I pay other members membership fees. Whether or not you upgrade to Premium is something you'll need to decide yourself based on your own circumstances.

And just a heads up, WA isn't a way to earn money quickly. As in, it's probably not a good idea to upgrade if you're spending money you don't have, in the hopes of making money within a month or so. This is a business, so it takes time to get into profit. Which means you would realistically want to factor in a few months of being a Premium member to begin earning (in my humble opinion).

Hope this helps, and let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Mariland,

Excellent idea! What I suggest is following the training when it comes to building out your site. I don't recommend deviating from this as it will lead to confusion and frustration given all of this is so new.

So what you could do is choose "snack house business tips" as your niche or you could start a cooking site, but if you go the latter route, I suggest narrowing down to a specific type of cooking/ diet as "cooking" is too broad.

Either way, this training will help you out:

Hi, I would like to ask you a question, hope it is ok.

I am going to buy a website, and want to ask. If you think I can monetize an educational website about an animal like a lion or elephant.
It has 1700 ranking keywords and 15000 Organic Search every month, its seven years old.

It needs a new fast and responsive them
I will pay about 3000$

Could it work?

Have a nice day

That sounds like a pretty sweet deal if it's legit.

What I would suggest is researching the niche thoroughly. Are people buying related products online?

You could find that out through general niche research and by looking at places where they would buy, such as Amazon. And by checking out affiliate programs related to the niche.

Since you have traffic and if people are buying (which chances are they are) then this could be a good buy. But it is important to make your own decision and do your own research as you know.

Hope this helps!

So...I think I want Solar Panels to be my niche because I'm an RV/Camping nut who's dream is to one day be an advocate for the off the grid life style. I feel like Solar Panels is too broad of a niche but maybe I'm incorrect and need to be more specific regarding the "off the grid" lifestyle. The only issue is...I'm NOT off the grid just yet. Any Suggestions?
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Personally I think the "off the grid lifestyle" niche is an awesome idea. Your niche definitely doesn't need to be about a specific type of product (ie. solar panels), it can also be based on a specific group of people, which this idea is.

I'm more of a fan of niches like this because they're targeted, but not too broad. In other words, this is a healthy balance. So it gives you TONS of content ideas and traffic potential, while opening the way for you to promote a range of relevant products.

Whether you are or aren't fully 'off the grid' yet is of little to no consequence. You are interested in this niche, and you are interested in learning and helping others, which is what matters. Anything you don't know can be learned both through research and experience as you go along and as you continue to pursue this lifestyle. As long as you focus on providing people with helpful information on your site and various social channels (if you do social media) then this can lead to a very profitable business over time.

That's my take anyways, hope it helps!
Reply
OK...This makes so much sense and I feel better knowing that I can cross markets w/in a niche to help others; as well as, myself. I do not do social media. I'm not a fan of FB and I've never joined Instagram or Twitter so it's apparent that I still have a LOT to learn. Thank you!!!
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Definitely, there's a lot of potential within this niche especially if you're willing to learn and take consistent action.

That's totally ok. Believe it or not I don't either (lol) and I earn a full time income as an affiliate (well I do have an Instagram and Twitter account but I haven't touched them in forever). I should totally work on that but it shows that you can be successful with literally just your site. Social media is really just an extra with this business model.

Anyways here if you need anything going forward :)

Hi Tim, where can i find my answer when i ask a question? I asked a question that to me is very important concerning what means do we get paid, the reason for asking is because i live in the Bahamas and i know that not all payportal transfers money to the Bahamas eg. paypal and a few others which would mean that i will not be able to get my money.

Thanks for your response
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Hi Kirk,

It depends on where you ask the question. There are a number of different ways you can get help/ guidance/ support/ mentoring, so it really comes down to knowing where to ask these questions and then simply going back to that place to see if someone has answered you within the community, which 9 times out of 10 they will have within minutes.

Thankfully, to make life easier you can simply click on the 'bell' icon at the top right of your screen. This will show you a list of notifications, so if someone has replied, you should see it there. I will also be sending you a bonus at day 15 which walks you through all the ways you can get support within WA, so keep an eye out for this (it will be delivered to your WA inbox).

Right now you are on my profile page, so I am happy to answer your question.

How you get paid depends on which company you are working with. Some pay via direct deposit into your bank, some by check and others via PayPal. If you're promoting WA they pay by PayPal.

As long as you can receive a check you should be fine with most affiliate programs, but you can check this within the website of whatever company you're working with, and by contacting their support.

Hope this helps!

Hello Tim. I believe I have chosen my niche, but just wanted to get your thoughts on it. I can't say I'm completely passionate about it, but I'm extremely knowledgeable of it. It falls in the water damage restoration industry and the equipment used within the industry. I appreciate your feedback asks guidance!

Hi Robert,

You don't have to be passionate about the niche, but you should at least be interested in it to some extent. Because a big part of what you'll be doing is researching and creating content, to get traffic to your site, so you can make affiliate sales.

There's definitely a lot of people searching for information and buying products online within the water damage niche, so as a niche this is definitely viable. Assuming you're keen to create content about this, go for it.

Otherwise let me know if you want to swing some other ideas past me, happy to help out.

You can cancel your account at any time, and you can request a refund directly from Carson if you like.

If you do cancel your Premium membership, you won't be able to go back to a free Starter account, so you'll effectively need to just cancel and come back down the road if you want, or keep your account as is.

Whatever you decide is cool, just let me know if you need some help cancelling/ requesting a refund, and I'll walk you through these.

Hi Tim, I am in a panic mode today...I made the mistake to push the publish button and I now ranked on Google per the message I got this morning :( I have not posted the pictures of the products I want to be an affiliate for yet nor have I posted information about them.
It's hard when you are working to be building the website...I'm still very excited and would really appreciate it if you would tell me how to go about my next steps...
I am at the point of putting the product and info about them the website....just not sure how to do this...I checked out the affiliate policy for Amazon and before I can even apply I need a complete website.
My about me page and privacy are already up and published :(
Should I take the products photos from someone who is already selling them on Amazon or where else should I look to find them? How about the product description? I can word it in my own way and use the info listed about what's in the products?
I really need some help and try to finish what I started so I can have it make sense for people that might be looking at it already :(
Thanks in advance,

Josie

Hi Josie,

Ok so first of all... don't panic lol. You can always update a post or page you publish, so it's no big deal.

As far as "what to do next" and your questions regarding images and so forth, my advice is to keep on going with the training. Everything you need to know is all there within the steps within the training. So what I recommend you do is follow this as closely as possible, and complete and mark off each task as you go, so you know where you're at and what you need to do next.

With that being said, here's how to edit an existing post or page on your site, which may help you when it comes to updating that post you published too early:

1) Go here to login to your site:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites

2) Click on 'login' for the website you want to edit (see screenshot 1).

3) Once inside your site, click on 'posts' on the left hand side menu (see screenshot 2).

4) Hover over the post you want to edit with your mouse, and click on 'edit' (see screenshot 3).

5) From here, just edit the post how you want and click on 'update' (see screenshot 4).

I am confident you will be able to follow these instructions. Do them one at a time and you will be able to edit your post.

You can use the same process to edit a page, but instead of clicking on 'posts' click on 'page'.

Hope this helps, and let me know how you go.

I should’ve emailed you sooner... I had figured it out... I am still working on my blogs, and going through the training too 😊
You’re right! I need to be more disciplined and patient with myself... lots of info to learn and process but I have no doubts that I will succeed and get my website done at some point 😊
Ii still have a few questions tho...
Is it ok to be as an affiliate for Amazon and have other affiliate programs with other companies on the same website? Or can we only be with one affiliate program at a time per website? Also once a website is on “published” status is it possible to put it on “pending” status until it’s completed with the the affiliate program linking to the products I want to be an affiliate for?
One last question, I’d like to get your opinion on: if my niche is eyelash growth serum, do you think having other products like vitamins to help the growth of eyelashes be a bad idea on the same website?
Again, thank you so much for all the help and encouragement

Not a problem at all Josie, glad you got that sorted and that you're making great progress :)

"Is it ok to be as an affiliate for Amazon and have other affiliate programs with other companies on the same website?"

Absolutely, that is 100% acceptable and in many cases, a good idea.

"Also once a website is on “published” status is it possible to put it on “pending” status until it’s completed with the the affiliate program linking to the products I want to be an affiliate for?"

No. You would NEVER want to put your site in a 'pending' status. Because doing this can destroy your rankings in Google, which would destroy your traffic, which is a very bad thing. Please, never do this.

"I’d like to get your opinion on: if my niche is eyelash growth serum, do you think having other products like vitamins to help the growth of eyelashes be a bad idea on the same website?"

Absolutely you could. And not only can you promote these other types of products, you could create lots of content based on those types of products, which means more traffic and sales potential.

In doing this, you are essentially broadening the scope of your site from "eyelash growth serum" to "eyelash growth".

Hope this helps!

Tim, I have been fighting for my life the last year and half! I got a Mercer infection in my urine and blood stream? The Doctors put me into a self-induced COMA for about three and half months! I’m still trying to come back up to speed? However, my Doctors want to bring me back slowly?

You coming along with this program had to be a Miracle sent from GOD? I was working when I got sick and I very much need to be working now! The first week I worked so hard on all this stuff and did not get anywhere? My fingers were hurting from typing? Lol. But like I said I‘ve got to get my mind back in the game? This week Monday thru Wednesday, I fell back into a fairly bad place!
Thank Goodness I came out today!

However, Please don’t count me out? I think the world of WA!
I have met and talked to some great people there!
I love all the E-mails flying around and around!

Crazy thing is that I retired from Web Page Design!

Your Premium account should be all good as long as you are making the monthly payment. So if for some reason your account is saying it's on hold and you are making payment, I recommend you contact Carson right away.

Here’s the exact process to contact Carson via private message:

Step 1) Go to Carson's WA profile page:

Step 2) Click on ‘Private Message’

Step 3) Click on ‘Other Inquiry’ and type any letter in the box that comes up.

Step 4) A box will appear under this which says “Didn't find what you were looking for?”. This is where you should type your question.

Step 5) Once you’ve typed your question, select ‘Contact Carson Privately’ and that’s it!

He normally responds within a day or two.

If you provide meaningful, entertaining, educational content and offer products that will benefit your target audience - not just make you money - you will be successful, regardless of how much money you make. Let the money take care of itself. "If you build it, they will come"

Hi Tim - Just wanted to say hi :)

It's inspiring to follow you - and to view your post - and ultimately to learn from you.

Quick question.

As a total newbie inside of affiliate marketing - aside from the intense learning the last 1.5 month. Do you think it is possible to already promote WA?

Or would you choose to go the amazon/product kind of way.

Because my true passion lies in helping other people, and doing youtube and promoting WA is what I want to do - I know it in my heart. But maybe it would be best to get to know something about affiliate marketing first hand - and producing some results before teaching others about it.

Hi Jakob, great to connect :)

I think promoting WA is a very worthwhile route, definitely. The good thing about WA is that there are SO many audiences that can benefit from the platform, so the opportunity to both help people and profit is exciting, even if you don't focus on the affiliate marketing niche itself. Also, WA is a service more than anything, so you don't need to be making money already, to share your experience in using the service. As long as you are honest with people about where you're at in your journey, it's all good.

So all you need to do is choose the direction of your site, create lots of helpful content and recommend a platform you know your visitors will love. That's it. WA has a very generous affiliate program too, so over time you can produce some very reliable, longterm income this way.

Hope this helps!

I'm glad you feel this way Tim. I feel the same way.
It was a very good point you made - that WA is a service and that I already have experience within this service.

Also I read a post Kyle made some years back about how to angle your WA bootcamp and I must say - there's a lot of ways to start promoting WA - because it offers such a variety of help.

Thanks for replying back.

Have a very nice day 😊

Hi Tim,

I posted a question and one of the classrooms that I would love for you to look at. I chose my niche as being all things jeep. Jeep parts, jeep accessories, and jeep apparel. So I bought my website last night as part of level two training and I bought myjeepthreads.com I intend for my website to be a place to blog about the best jeep accessories and jeep parts as well as pointing fellow jeepers in a direction of where they can go to get these parts and accessories as well as apparel. I also want to make it in interactive community where jeepers can give each other advice on how they fixed problems with their jeeps and what kind of accessories they have been using.

Well my husband noticed that there’s another website out there that somebody else owns called jeepthreads.com

He was concerned that my web link would be too close to the name of theirs and it might cause some legality issues with the name. So he suggested putting a disclaimer on my site to assure all of my visitors that I am not affiliated with jeepthreads.com in any way.

Do you think that’s the right way to go? I wanted to get your perspective because I’ve gotten quite a few different answers on my question and I just want to make sure that I’m taking the correct route. I’m really enjoying WA I want to keep going with this process!

I really appreciate any feedback that you have for me. Thanks a bunch and have a great night!

Kindest Regards,
Jaclynn

Hi Jaclynn,

That all sounds very good, you are absolutely on the right track here.

I am not a lawyer, so I cannot advise you on any legal matters, and I don't recommend taking legal advice from anyone who is not a lawyer, even WA members.

However, with that being said, what I can say is that personally, if I was in that situation myself, I wouldn't be concerned about this *unless there is a trademark on that name*. Which there probably isn't, since it's just a blog name/ domain name, although I would still check to be safe. And if I was really worried, and didn't 'have' to have that name, I'd probably just choose something else. But that's me, what you decide is totally up to you.

In any case I hope this is helpful and let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Tim!

Thank you for the response! My husband and I talked more about it last night and we decided to just find a different name for the website and we came up with another one that is good, still fits my niche and isn’t close to anything else we could find. We just didn’t want to take the chance. Thank you so much for the help!

I appreciate it greatly! Have a wonderful day!

Hello
I am new on WA and need help to create my first website. Can the website be about a specific product I want to represent as an affiliate (ie: eyelash growth serum)? or multiple beauty products on the same website? Do i talk about myself or the products I want to represent as an affiliate? Also, can I create a website for my own business as an esthetician to promote my services? What should I indicate as far as " about me" "about name" "about site""about us"
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Hi Josie,

- Can the website be about a specific product I want to represent as an affiliate (ie: eyelash growth serum)?

Yes, but I personally always recommend creating your site based on the *group of people* as oppose to a specific product. So your site could be about "woman interested in growing their eyelashes". So in this case you are building out your site in such a way that will generate you more traffic, since there are more topics you can write about, and you can promote MANY relevant products.

- Do i talk about myself or the products I want to represent as an affiliate?

You create content based on low competition keywords, that are relevant to your chosen niche. The topics could be about literally anything relevant to your niche. The training walks you through this in detail, so keep following along and it will make a lot more sense.

- Also, can I create a website for my own business as an esthetician to promote my services?

Yes

- What should I indicate as far as " about me" "about name" "about site""about us"

I like to keep this simple. Just write a few short paragraphs about yourself, why you started the site and how it will help your visitors. That's it.

Hope this helps!

Hi Tim,
Thank you for your messages so far, I appreciate it. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any personal answer from you to my questions that I have asked you when I replied to your first message here on WA.
Maybe you didn't get a chance yet to read it or you thought that the messages you have sent me afterwards were actually relating to the issues I have mentioned. But even if they did, it was not a real answer to me and seemed pretty much like a prefabricated standard answer you might just send to anybody. So, therefore, I'll try to repeat it in a short version again.
I got here over an article written by you about ICS that was available on the internet. Meaning I actually got here to WA by accident when checking out on additional online income opportunities. I tried already dropshipping not very successfully and actually, I am thinking about quitting it.
I am a working person and have to support my wife & Kids and therefore only have limited time (let's say daily another 2-3 hours) that I can invest in some additional online business in order to improve my financial situation which is rather tied than anything else.
Do you think honestly that it is realistic under such circumstances to build here on WA something up within a reasonable timespan (maybe 3-4 months) that will at least provide me with an additional income that has some more value to it than just peanuts?
That's in actual fact what I am going through with my dropshipping business right now, which I started apr. 9 months ago after being talked into it by a so-called Guru. And I hope you understand that I want to protect myself from making again similar experiences. Meaning investing a lot of money and for me really valuable time for just very poor results.
That's why it is crucial for me to get a clear answer to that question before I can commit to anything new!!!
I think the main reason why I got here is that I felt I could relate to and identify with what you were talking about in those articles that eventually brought me here.
But I still feel a bit unsure, confused and even a little bit scared about just trying affiliated marketing now without really being able to estimate if this really could be the real opportunity for me to change my situation.
So, therefore, I really would appreciate an honest answer from you (like a friend or a brother) without considering to much the personal benefit you might derive from just bringing somebody new into the community.

Thank you so much :)
be blessed, - best!

Hi Daniel,

I strive to answer all the questions I get from people who join WA through me (free or Premium), but truth be told some do slip through the cracks. I tend to dedicate the bulk of my time to helping my referrals through private messaging, which I always answer.

In any case, I will respond to your question here :)

Seems like this is the question you are asking- "Do you think honestly that it is realistic under such circumstances to build here on WA something up within a reasonable timespan (maybe 3-4 months) that will at least provide me with an additional income that has some more value to it than just peanuts?"

The reality is, nobody can answer how long it will take you to start making money. Period. The process absolutely works, I am living proof of this as are many others, but how quickly you will get results depends on a number of variables. And I would say the biggest of these is how much effort you put in.

Personally, it took me 3 months to earn my first commission of $1.17 from Amazon. I worked my butt of almost everyday, and that's what I earned (lol). However, within less than 2 years I was earning a full-time income online, and now just over 3 years in, I am on track to earning 5 figures per month if I continue to put the effort in.

That may seem like a long time but it's really not in the grand scheme of things. You are learning a new skill, and like all skills worth having, it will take you time. But it's so worth it, especially not when when you consider the time and location freedom this business gives you.

So my advice to you is to follow the training, set aside a non-negotiable amount of time each week you can dedicate to your new business, and in time, you will reach your goals. There's a world of opportunity within affiliate marketing, and WA positions you to take full advantage of it, so it's worth every effort and you can do this.

Hope this helps!

Here's how to cancel your account:

Step 1) Click on your profile image at the top left of the screen, and select ‘Account Settings’ from the menu.

Step 2) Scroll down the page until you see ‘Subscription Settings’ and select ‘Membership’ from the options.

Step 3) Click on ‘Stop Billing and Cancel Membership’.

That's all you need to do to cancel your Premium account.

It has been great working with you, and should you decide to come back to WA down the road, I'll be more than happy to help you pick things up again and get your business rolling :)

All the best going forward and reach out if you have any other questions.

Howya. Hope you are good 2day. Found something a bit odd on of my websites. It seems Jaxxy or some1 working for them are slipping links for jaxxy into my site. Seemed very off so I quickly broke the link.

Any ideas about this or what may have caused it. I know I certainly put no link there and from the perspective of a visitor to the site, this link was taking them away from my site to the Jaxxy website which as I see it would be very counter productive as a site owner?

How can I stop this from happening again please?

Hi Niall,

I personally know the guys running Jaaxy (Kyle and Carson) and I can assure you nobody is slipping links into your site. The security within WA, Jaaxy and our sites here is well above industry standard.

It's impossible to know what exactly has happened without seeing your site personally. So if there are any further links on your site leading to Jaaxy, then by all means send me the link to your site via a PM (not here) and I'll take a look for you.

This is a copy of a message I sent to Kyle. Can you help?

Hi Kyle. I continue to have difficulties transferring my domain to Wealthy Affiliate. I think I've followed the instructions given and have contacted support, but even though we've exchanged messages for several days, they're still unable to resolve the issue.
What do you recommend?

Hi Hugo,

I'm not a tech expert, so ideally you would be wanting to work between WA's support and support of where your domain is. I am certain that between the two you should be able to resolve this.

This tutorial is helpful too: What did support recommend you do?

HMProSft Premium
Thanks for replying Tim (Kyle has not responded).
In my previous life, I used to be a Tech Expert (35+ Years in the IT field), so I am somewhat familiar with the process. And this is what upsets me: it's one party blaming the other. The old registrar (goDaddy) tells me they're doe on their end, that the domain is ready to be transferred once the new registrar (WA) requests it. The new registrar (WA) tells me that certain settings (Transfer Lock disabled) must be done on the WA side and they have been, as confirmed by goDaddy.
The issue is now that when I go to the WA page to start the transfer, nothing happens when I press the Start Transfer button.
I was really hoping for somebody with a bit of leverage (i.e. the owner or a high level WA employee) to take a deeper look at what's going on; I'm afraid that a link to the instructions is not helpful at this stage.

What do you think?
Hugo.-

Yeah so Kyle normally responds within a day or two, but he always replies so it may just be a case of giving him more time. I'm not an employee of WA, I'm literally a member just like you, so there's nothing I can do on that front.

It sounds to me like WA has done what they needed to do, but there's some sort of glitch happening. What I recommend is logging out, clearing your history/ cookies, restarting your browser, logging back in, and trying it again. This sometimes irons out any bugs.

If this still doesn't work, I would give it a day and try again. If that doesn't work, then I would contact support again, explaining exactly what you've told me, and the steps you've taken, and ask them to help you resolve it. I am certain they will be able to help you.

If on the off chance they can't help you, I would contact Carson or have support refer the issue to Carson, because he's the guy who normally handles tech related issues.

Either way let me know how you go, keen to see this resolved for you asap.

Thanks for your offer to help, I do have a question. Is there a video that one can promote for WA with an embedded affiliate link available? I'm an admin to my son's facebook page that has over 18000 likes. Even though its his page and I'm an admin we do have one rule on that page, anything that is posted has to be a video because it's called Suggested Videos. Would totally love to expose WA to that group of captive audience. Thanks for your help.

Not that I am aware of, but that is an excellent idea. I remember seeing someone create such a WA promo video on YouTube so I suppose you could use something like that, embedded on your FB page. But ideally you would want to create your own with your own unique voice and branding, explaining to folks why you like WA and how it can help them too.

Hello Tim, I simply can't effort to go to premium level since I don't have the money. So I first need to earn something, then I am ready to proceed. I see that within a weeks time something must change. If that is the case. I am in. Greetings Rita

Hi Rita,

No probs, you can only do what you can do.

To be honest though, it is unlikely you will start earning within 'weeks'. This is simply not the reality of how business (online or offline) works. It takes time, effort and above all- persistence.

It took me 3 months to earn my first dollar which may sound like a long time, but it's really not when you think about it. Especially since now I earn a full-time income doing this stuff. So my point here is that it takes time but it's well worth it.

You don't have to go Premium but you are definitely giving yourself a better chance of success because you are getting ALL the tools, training and support you need to build a thriving business.

Anyways, by all means reach out if you have any questions going forward, more than happy to help you get your business rolling :)

Hi Marc,

Definitely. I felt a bit lost at first, I think like anything new, it's a learning curve. We can't expect to just know everything and start crushing it right away, it takes time. So my advice would be to roll with it and keep learning, keep applying. In time this will become second nature to you.

I was a wall and floor tiler before this, I didn't even know what affiliate marketing was. So the way I see it is if I can do this, then you can too :)

My biggest tip is to follow the training, take massive action and above all else- be persistent.

It's not about having special skills, choosing the perfect niche, writing amazing content or any of that stuff. It is honestly about persistence. Because in time, you will master all of this stuff and you'll be helping others.

Hope this helps and talk soon!

I would like to help others find solutions to acne and maybe even discover some acne relieve for me. What do you think?

Absolutely Mark, acne treatment is a niche with huge potential. Lots of content ideas, lots of traffic potential and people are definitely buying these products online which means you can earn affiliate commissions promoting this stuff.

It's also a niche where people are very vested in finding a solution, because this is a very real problem. I had it myself throughout my teen years so I know there's a high motivation for many people to search for solutions and buy good products to get this problem solved.

Hi Nida,

Yeah what I have come to learn is that a 'value first' approach is a winning formula and the money you make is simply a bi-product of this.

Thinking in terms of 'what you can give' is the start of creating a real business and will set you MILES ahead of those who just think about 'making money'. This is because your goal is to create an asset (website) that gives people genuine value within your respective niche, and when you do this the rewards flow naturally.

Hey Tim,

Virginia here and I just wanted to reach out to you to say THANK YOU. I don't recall how our paths crossed but I will forever be grateful to you for bringing me to WA.

Since joining I have made a complete 180 in my personal life and life in general.

To me WA is more than a place you can get expert advice and a helping hand in becoming successful in the on-line market.

Doing the trainings and interacting with community has helped in my personal relationships outside of WA and it has helped me to re evaluate my entire existence in just a few months, for the good of course.

I am sure I would have made the adjustments eventually (maybe) but the timing couldn't have been more fitting.
Because of you and this community I have been able to fast track my goals due to the encouragement from you all.

That was key in it all, the encouragement that is, whether the support was genuine or done because that is something that is asked of us here, without it I probably would be in a way sticky situation.

Like for real y'all literally saved my life. I had almost given up on life and even though that is not who I am I had reached my breaking point.

I still am not where I want to be financially , as a matter of fact I haven't made one cent and don't know where I am going to get the monies for this months billing, but trust and believe I will figure it out as I have this entire time. What I do know is that my success will happen in time, and I will continue to strive to be better than I was the day before.

Iv'e been able to put a lot of things into perspective and it just overwhelms me with joy that I am finally finding the pursuit to my happiness I have dreamt of my whole life.

With that I will close until next time thanks again

To be honest I'm not sure about your sites but they should be fine. It's my understanding that after 30 days of not paying your sites are removed from the hosting (ie they're not live anymore) but WA still keeps a backup of your site for up to 6 months. Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure this is the deal.

So what I would do in your case is contact support and see if they can restore your sites:

I'll be upgrading to premium tomorrow to get the maximum benefit from and help from WA.

My goal is to retire within 3-5 years and I'm prepared to put in the effort to achieve it.

I got this message from Google the other day, and I am unsure how to fix the problem, mostly because I don't know what the problem is. LOL. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tim, I'm in the process of building my website. When putting together my test and blogs I am not too adept at finding the words. Do you have any suggestions that may help in that regard? It would be a lot easier to find copy on the internet from books or other offers; but I guess that would not be appropriate. To what extent would that be allowed, if at all?

Hi Len,

Creating good content is something literally anyone can do, it just takes some time and effort to master.

My main advice is to continue through the training, because Kyle walks you through creating high quality content (that converts into sales) right here within the training.

As an added help, this recent post is AWESOME: This lays out how you can easily come up with tons of great content ideas so I highly recommend reading this in addition to going through the training modules.

I absolutely do NOT recommend copying and pasting ANY content. Your content MUST be unique, as this is the only way your content will rank in search engines like Google. Which is how you'll be getting traffic, an essential ingredient to making affiliate sales.

I know it can seem a little daunting at first, but try to think longterm. Every effort you put forth now can and will pay off in spades down the road.

Hope this helps!

I lost money and got into debt till today and almost filed bankruptcy which means I lost lots. I have not read much about your business but I just signed up for this.

Thanks Tim, yes I was ready to save over $350 Aussie dollars going yearly. Nice investment strategy of course, but no need to monitor the monthly payments any more.
Excited about where WA has taken me in 9 months, now in the top 200 due to my diligence and daily connects with WA. Now attacking the trainings again. One can pause in the training when a "hard patch" creates a mental block. But I found as I restarted the trainings I got breakthrough in my thinking and confidence restored for that sector. I always encourage and share wisdom. WA is a wonderful community. I promote sometimes FB without the drama. Thank you Tim for being here.

Hi Ken,

Glad to see you are going strong and continuing to build out your business. It's definitely beneficial to go through the training again every once in a while, no matter what level you're at in your business. This is a good refresher and as you say you can pick up things you may of at first overlooked, I know I've done this myself numerous times.

Anyways thanks for the message Ken, and look forward to continuing to work with you going forward :)

Tim, my main interest before starting this course was to promote day trading (equities, options, forex, etc); but I think that fits in very well with affiliate marketing and Wealthy Affiliate in that both niches could come under the same heading of Earning a Living from Home. Does that make sense? What do you think?

If I go that way should I still opt to go through the boot camp training as opposed to lesson 4??
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Yeah I guess it does, although earning from trading is kind of starting to get outside of what I would use to promote WA. These people are looking to invest, and while a percentage will definitely be interested in WA, it's not as targeted as it could be.

Maybe if you do go this route, consider promoting multiple offers other than just WA and that could work.

If you want to continue discussing this, please send me a private message as this is a public forum and I like to keep these sorts of conversations more private since this is your niche and business.

Just click on 'private message' above. Cheers

Hi Tim, just a quick question for you. I'm not too worried about it yet because I haven't finished my website yet. When you have your site ready I'm not sure how to go about contact the companys whether it's amazon, Citibank etc . I do know they all have different commissions but if you have one website can you have different affiliates to your one site? Thank you for always getting back to me. Sometimes I'm not comfortable going to classroom.

Hi Ellen,

You can definitely promote multiple products from multiple affiliate networks such as Amazon and ClickBank etc on your site. As long as the products are relevant to your audience then you're good to go.

Signing up with these sites is easy and the training walks you through this step-by-step, so I recommend continuing through the training and you will learn this in due course.

Hope this helps :)

Hi Tim,
I signed up with WA about 10 days ago; but I have not yet started the training. I will be starting today. Sorry for the delay.

Before signing up with WA I tried getting into affiliate marketing using 2 other companies ( EasyKits and John Crestani). I found that, in my opinion, their programs were very hard to follow. That is when I looked into Wealthy Affiliate. I am hoping your program will allow me to finally get rolling.

While utilizing the EasyKits program I was finally able to set up a website. hosted by Namecheap.com. My website is only in it's early stages and needs a lot of work (daytradeonline.net).

My question is: now that I am going through the training with WA, can i still use that website or should I set up a new website with a new host that you recommend?

I am getting a lot of e-mails from WA subscribers saying they are following me. Can you explain what that is all about?
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
Hi Leonard,

So as a Premium member you can host up to 50 sites, right here within WA. The hosting here is state of the art so there's no need to pay extra to have it hosted elsewhere.

If the above site is a WordPress site, then by all means you can have it transferred to WA's hosting here. Just let me know if it is and if you want to transfer it and I can walk you through this via private message.

If not, you can easily start your site again which to be honest isn't a bad idea anyways. This is simpler and will allow you to setup your site in the exact way the training shows you.

You can opt-out of receiving these notifications from WA by visiting this page:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/home/my_profile

Scroll down to the bottom where it says "Email Notification Settings" and you can adjust these from there.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions!

I agree, I will start my website again according to the training provided.

What about the domain name? Should I use what I have already set up or should I just let it die? If I do nothing with it will it conflict with anything new that I set up with WA?
Reply
TimMcKinlay Premium
You could simply 'point' that domain from NameCheap to WA so that you can use it with your WA site, or buy a new one here:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/domains

It's up to you really, either way is fine.

Hi Tim.
Been a few days since I've been able to log in. Having to work all day and a host of other obligations, I thought I'd better take some time for WA training before I get cold. The niche thingy is what I most confused about. I end up going through the Bootcamp. The training is not what I thought it would be basically because I am a newbie to ALL of this, terminology, affiliate, branding, etc. I thought the training would be more step by step than what I'm experiencing. Anyway, if you have any tips for me that will help me through this overwhelming feeling of confusion, I sure would welcome it. I'm not sure if the bootcamp is the route to take; but I just have no idea what to choose. Right now I can't proceed because there's a few things I have to do before proceeding. Anyway, thought I'd reach out! Thanks for listening.

Hi Denise,

My advice is to take your time to go through each lesson, at your own pace. And if anything within the lesson doesn't make sense, then ask a question at the bottom of that training about specifically what you are having trouble with.

Also I recommend you mark each task off as complete as you go, so you know exactly where you're up to in the training and what you need to do next.

As far as choosing a niche goes, try not to overthink this. There is no 'prefect' niche so the idea is just to choose one and get rolling.

The first step to choosing a niche is asking yourself some questions:

- What are you passions or interests?
- What do you know something about or what have you researched?
- What problems have you faced, or are facing, and what solutions have you found?

These are all good starting points.

Try to think about *which group of people you are trying to help* with your website.

Starting your research around a passion or interest is always a good idea, because there are vast opportunities to profit within practically ANY niche you can think of. So it makes sense to focus on a topic that interests you.

Even if you can give me a broad idea, I can help you come up with a profitable niche idea from there. One with lots of traffic and sales potential.

Let me know, so we can get your site up and running asap! :)

I do recommend it if you can, because it's well worth it but by all means you can only do what you can do.

I actually personally know Ian (the guy who runs FIMP), I met him at the WA Vegas conference in Feb last year, so he's a Wealthy Affiliate member too :) Nice guy and great training he is offering, I haven't been through it all but there's definitely some gems there.

Hello Tim,
Update: Drum Roll Please........
I found the problem it is the Ads and the articles at the top of my navigation I turn my pages into post, that was part of the problem slowing down my mobile speed, I also took my pages (articles) at the top of my navigation and turned them into post.

My mobile speed is now 98 percent and my desktop is 100 percent. I changed plugins from Advance Ads to WP QUADS plugin, which is a more simpler plugin, but the Google Ads they are not showing up now, which is good, because I found a new Word Press Template its is called Blogger Era I did a test and it looks good with my content, so we shall see I probably need to update my template to a newer version for these Ads.

Oh I also am showing back up on Google Analytics. Thanks for all your patients and help:)

I check Google Analytics no one visit my website for 7 days I usual have some activity, I wanted to know if the page speed had something to do with this?

I did contact IT recommended I look at API, it has so much information didn't know where to start, don't know what to do seeing I am not a developer.

A site speed of 32 is very bad, so something isn't right. Can you please PM me the link to your site and I will personally take a look and run some tests to see what is going on. I'm sure we can get this sorted for you asap.

Regarding traffic, your site is only new so it's normal for traffic to be up and down at first. The key is to push through this and in time your traffic will snowball.

I haven't had the need to do this or come across anyone who has so this is not something I'm sure about. If you want to print your content then personally I would just use the print function in the browser, or to get it exactly how you want it you could copy the content and paste it into a Google doc, where you can modify it exactly how you want it for printing.

Hope this helps!

I see that this process actually works. I've been with WA for a year in January and I've been so busy I have not been able to build out my site. But I was online looking for a review on Real Profits Online and your review was on the first page. I did not know that you were with WA and in my network. Here I have the perfect business and I'm looking for an opportunity elsewhere. Sometimes we don't know what we have. Your site and review are amazing and what you're making monthly is no joke. You've encouraged me to get busy with my WA business go through the training and make things happen and that's exactly what I 'm going to do.

That's great to hear Peter, glad you are motivated to get rolling with your business.

I know what that's like, it's easy to get 'shiny object syndrome', I think we all get this, especially in this industry with so many programs and ways to make money online. But the reality is you are in the right place if you want to build a real, longterm sustainable business. It takes time and effort but it is well worth it.

To this day I'm blown away not just by making money online but with the freedom it gives you. You definitely need to grind for a while without making much but once you get it rolling the income is very passive in nature so even 4 figures per month can change your life. Especially considering the low running costs.

Anyways thanks for reaching out and look forward to seeing you reach your goals going forward!

Hey Tim, I got the call yesterday. I go in for my spinal fusion on December 20th.at 8am. It's supposed to be an 8-10 hour surgery. Which usually turns into 12-14hours with me. I don't tend to make it easy on them. The last one was supposed to be 4-6 hours and wound up being 10 hours. So I'm getting 8 steel cages put into my lumbar spine and saccrum. Hopefully when they're done I'll be able to stand up more than 5 minutes and walk more than 10 feet without my legs giving out. After that they fix my neck and I should be good as new. I HOPE!!! Just didn't want everybody thinking I quit. Once I start something I don't quit until the job is done. I hate having to take time away from this and school right now but we all do what we have to. Right?

Very frustrated. I have been on the Llive Chat, I've reached out to Today's Top Helpers - no response. Live Chat did try - about 3 of them, but could not rectify the problem. Have spent over 1 1/2 hours. The H1, H2 etc headers aren't working out. the coding is off or something. Do you know who I can speak to? Or do I just have to delete all my work - Lesson 7, the entire About Us page, I have about 7 paragraphs...but can't get the headers to work without bolding in large size font the entire thing.
I have clicked on the Search button and read a couple of responses but my page does not have the icons they refer to .

Hi Tim!
I'm finally ready for my first question (I'm sure that more will come as I push ahead...!).
The question is: Can I have multiple sites in a domain I purchase and register through WA ? It is possible that I may have gone through that in the training, and will take another look on my own, but you may have an answer faster (even if it's just a referral back to a lesson in the training plan)
Thanks Tim,

Hi Hugo,

You can only have ONE site per domain you purchase. So the idea is to choose 1 niche and then create 1 site within 1 domain for this niche.

Yep, you can purchase your domains here within WA which I recommend because you get free privacy protection, there are no hidden fees ever and it makes it super easy to connect with your site since everything is in house.

How does that help you?

Hi Dorothy,

So up the top of anyones blogs here at WA you will see that 'affiliate link' which you can copy and paste somewhere, like on your site or in an email or whatever.

What this means is that if someone clicks on that link you share, and joins WA (even though it was through a page I created), then YOU will get that referral. So if that person goes from a free Starter member to a Premium member then you will earn a commission! You will also continue to earn commissions for the entire life of that persons membership. It's pretty cool.

So that is essentially a unique way to share stuff you find valuable with people, and also promote WA as an affiliate.

If you want to learn more about promoting WA, then I recommend you follow this course: Hope this helps!

Hi Maureen,

I am sorry to hear about your health issue, hope all is ok.

I actually replied to your refund request yesterday when you sent me a private message. In any case I will reply again here incase you missed my reply.

So given the fact that I am a member just like you (I do not own or run Wealthy Affiliate) I cannot issue anyone a refund, it is literally impossible for me to do so. So you will need to request this refund to Carson or Kyle directly.

Here’s the exact process to contact Kyle or Carson via private message:

Step 1) Go to Kyle or Carson's WA profile page:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/kyle
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/carson

Step 2) Click on ‘Private Message’

Step 3) Click on ‘Other Inquiry’ and type any letter in the box that comes up.

Step 4) A box will appear under this which says “Didn't find what you were looking for?”. This is where you should type your question.

Step 5) Once you’ve typed your question, select ‘Contact Kyle/ Carson Privately’ and that’s it.

They normally respond within a day or two. I cannot promise you will get a refund since these are only issued on a case by case basis, but given your circumstances it is worth a try.

Let me know how you go and if you have any other questions.

I like when you said .... Focus on the value you can GIVE to people. The more value you give, the more value you will receive in return. It is important to set your money goals and believe in them, absolutely! But successful online businesses are built based on the value you can give to people first and foremost.
I'm putting into practice tomorrow! Great POST

about going Premium within 7 days, I can not promise you this but I can try like hell to scrounge and see what or if I can find some money. Like I said climbing up trying. I will be soon employed graveyard shift at Amazon don't know just how I am feeling about that because I am getting up there in age and being in a warehouse I just don't know but as I said once before, I am no quitter. I would really love to say yes but just gonna have to see...

Thank You !!

Hi Karlynn,

Absolutely, if you can't upgrade within 7 days that is totally ok. Also, I don't recommend spending your last dollars to upgrade if you NEED to be making money right away, because it does take time to start seeing the profits roll in from this business. Premium is the best investment you could make with respects to building an online business, but this is a long term gig.

Anyways, looking forward to working with you so if you need anything in the meantime, just let me know :)

Cheers,
Tim

Tim. Could you please tell me how to empty my cart full of unwanted domains. I would like to purchase a new domain with .com , .org, .net. from sitedomain. It won't let me purchase without purchasing the 5 not wanted domains on my cart. I've stumpt the community. Nobody seems to know. There is no X to delete on the left of each domain , as some suggested. I'm at a stand still here. really could use your knowledge here.

Hi Ned,

I just checked this by adding some domains to my cart, and I was able to see a light gray 'x' to the far left of each domain that I clicked and which removed those. So not sure why you are having this issue.

My suggestion is to try the following:

1) Log out, clear your browser history (and cookies), log back in and try again.

2) Try a different browser (for example Google Chrome or Firefox)

3) If you are using a mobile device, use a laptop or desktop

4) If none of these help, then support will absolutely be able to help you out: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Let me know how you go and if you need further help with this.

Thanks Tim. I never did get a light grey x. I finally found out by accident how to remove them . I kept pushing the cart button on and off, trying to beat "cart on" from loading hitting the first domain that appeared hoping to see the delete x. After several tries I accidently double hit one of the domain names and it disappeared. Repeated the same on the others getting my cart emptied finally. I went 3 days with nobody having the solution besides the light grey x. which it never appeared for me. While I got you noticing this . With my new domain how do I change te new with the old. what is the process and what happens with the old. I own it but its not a higher ranking suffix " .online ". Use it for a nameserver since i have pointed at WA?

Hi Ned,

Wow that is definitely odd but glad you got it sorted lol.

So first of all you do NOT want to change the nameservers wherever your old domain is located, as long as they are pointing to WA which I am assuming they are, just leave them.

All you need to do once your new domain is registered, is go to your existing site and click on 'move'.

Here are the exact steps to make that happen:

1) Click on 'websites' which is located in the left hand side menu

2) Click on 'SiteManager'

3) Locate your existing site from the list (this will be the OLD domain/ site)

4) Click on 'Move'

5) You will see the option to move your site "To An Existing Domain", click on this and select the new domain you purchased here at Wealthy Affiliate.

6) Click on "I'm Ready, Move My Site".

That's all you need to do. This will move your existing site to your new domain and all should be well.

Let me know how you go and if you have any other questions!

Cheers

im not sure when my first month of premium is up but I think its in the next week or so.... anyways what im wondering is does it auto renew on a certain day of the month or do I renew it?

also things are really tight for me every month being on a disability so I may not be able to pay it right on the date needed if that happens do I lose my work and site?
I was hoping to be much more ahead but I have been in and out of the hospital this month.... I really think I can do something here and im worried im going to lose what I have done?!

Hi Duane,

It automatically renews after 30 days are up from when you first joined/ when it last renewed. You can cancel this at any time within your account page under 'Subscription Settings':

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/home/my_profile

If you cancel your membership you will lose your site after 30 days, yeah. One main reason is because WA is providing you with a hosting service, which costs money to provide. The good news is that unlike almost all other web hosting companies, WA gives you a full 30 days after you cancel or do not pay, to move your site somewhere else if you want to.

It is not all that hard to move your site to different host for a while on some cheap hosting if you want to keep your site. You won't have all the benefit of being a Premium member but you can at least keep your site running for a few bucks per month (ish).

Let me know if you want help with any of this and I'll be more than happy to help you out.

I sent a message to Kyle also that I thought was a private message but I now realize it wasn't. I can't afford your system. I have no money to get the pemium package or buy any of them to be honest. I asked Kyle if there was any way you guys could help me with that. I'll pay you back asap. I NEED THIS. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Hi Darcy,

Just a heads up, this isn't a private message either. This is my personal profile page that anyone can see. I am happy to delete this message if you prefer people not to see it though, just let me know.

I can understand your situation, but I can't pay your membership for you. Because if I did that for you I would have to do it for everyone who asked me. I am sorry but this is just not something I do.

That's fine Tim, I just had to ask before I gave up completely. You don't have to take the message down. In fact, I prefer it if you don't. This way everybody knows that when you say you'll do anything to "HELP" us get our business going. That is not at all what you mean. You mean as long as it does not cost you a dime. If I could've gotten to the member's area this would've been a private conversation. Since I couldn't this is just fine. You love to dangle that magic carrot in front of people. Then just when they're ready to believe in you and your company. You yank that dream away. Let me ask you something Tim. How many of those depressed souls just like mine do you suppose that you refused to help that got off their laptop, pc, or phone and killed themselves because you were their last hope?

Darcy, I spend a LOT of time helping people here within WA, when in reality I am not obligated to. I am a member of WA just like everyone else.

In any case, I respond to each and every question I get, and I help my referrals and others within the WA community build their businesses. So I feel good about what I do and I get a lot of thanks from the people I work with. Just because I am not paying for other's memberships (which at no time have I ever said I would do) doesn't mean I am not helping or that I don't care about people.

You have been given full access to a free Starter account, which includes 2 free sites and training. This is extremely good value for free if you ask me.

Your last comment is very unfair. I don't even know how to respond to that. This platform is NOT for people who need money quickly, because even as a Premium member- it takes time. If someone is that desperate they need money as a last hope, then a job is probably a better option. It took me 6 months of busting my butt to start earning regular commissions as an affiliate, even as a Premium member. So this is a longterm business, not a way to pay the bills next month.

I explain this in detail within this post: I am sorry about your situation Darcy, I really am. But I do not pay other members fees, it really is that simple.

I didn't ask just to pay for my membership. I have every intention of paying you back and I told you that much. It's not like I want something for nothing. I don't work that way and you have no idea what it took for me to break down and come to you for help. I watched your whole webinar and all I heard was how much money you make. Now you're dropping the bomb that these people won't start seeing regular commissions for 6 months. I would have a job if anybody on the face of the planet was willing to give a job to a woman with a ticking time bomb in her head a job. Nobody wants to take the risk that I'll drop dead on their time and property. Can you blame them? I've been walking around with an inoperable brain aneurysm since 2003. I'm surprised every morning when I wake up. Not everybody in the world has to wake up and swallow almost 30 different kinds of medication just to be able to function. This is what happens when you get knocked around most of your life. You aren't the first one to blow smoke up my ass and try to make me believe all the lies are true. You already blew your own spot up there. How many times did you tell us during that webinar just how easy this system is. How you couldn't believe how the money came pouring in. Then you tell me here that you had to work your ass off for 6 months to make anything happen. You told us we wouldn't have to "WORK" period. So one way or the other you lied. So which is it? Oh and all of this program didn't download as it was supposed to so I'm so screwed up I don't know what 2 websites you're talking about or how to get to them. Then you wonder why somebody like me would be ready to give up? I wouldn't know why. Thank You for one more kick in the teeth I didn't need. If the goal was to inspire you failed miserably. All I got is disappointment, depression, and frustration. That question from before still stands. Haven't you ever stopped to think about how your actions affect others? Maybe you should think about it before one of them does it right in front of you to prove a point. Don't worry. It won't be me. I have 2 beautiful daughters 2 beautiful granddaughters and a handsome little grandson to live for. Someone who doesn't have what I do will show you one day just how wrong your thinking is.

I have NEVER done a webinar online at all, let alone for WA. I have never even made a video promoting WA. So it is clear you are mistaking me for someone else. Also, at no time have I ever said this was a 'system' or that it will be easy to make money.

You can learn how to start your website here:

I called it a system not you because I didn't know what else to call it.. How do you think I got here if it wasn't by watching you on that webinar that gave me the information to get this far? And I'm sorry hon but you did say it was an easy way to make money.

Feel free to share a link to ANY page or video anywhere online that I ever said it was quick and/ or easy to make money with Wealthy Affiliate. Seriously. You will not be able to, because I do NOT and have never said this. Period.

In fact, I make a special point of saying to folks who visit my website, that this takes hard work and effort, consistently, if you want results. And as I said earlier, I have never done a webinar at all so you (for a fact) are mistaking me for someone else here.

You probably ended up here at WA through my website, affiliateunguru.com which is how most people I refer find WA. It's possible you watched a webinar for another program, came to my site looking for a review, and then decided to check out WA which is what I recommend. This could explain the confusion here.

In any case, you can either stick around and learn how to build your business, and I will do my best to help you out, or choose to move on. Do whatever feels right for you.

I think you're right. I don't know how it happened but I think I got sent here from somebody else's webinar. The farther I try getting into this the more it looks like the other system or whatever you want to call it. Other things look very different from your site. This makes things very confusing. For instance, do you know that if you lose your internet connection to one of these webinar links. When you come back and re-establish your connection with the same link. You will be sent to a completely different webinar than the one you were watching before you lost your connection in the first place. I went through that a little earlier tonight. I've four other programs like this tonight. I decided to see how many were on this one link that says it will take you here. I can give you the link for it if you want it. In fact it's the link you sent me earlier and has your name at the end. I watched 4 different webinars start and none of them were for your site. Now you know how I ended up confused. Now I'm confused about setting up my websites. I like Pure Breed Dogs. I searched them with Jazzy but don't get how I get what I found to the websites. I'm slowly working through this. I stumbled over my dashboard and found that by accident. lol Then again that's the way I learned to use a computer in the first place. Now I'm stuck. Time for some sleep until I hear back from you or can clear my brain enough to figure this out.

TimMcKinlay Premium
Yeah that is understandable Darcy, and all good. The most important thing is that you are here now and you have the opportunity to start your online business if you want to.

You can definitely start a site about pure bred dogs, this is a viable niche idea. The best thing to do is slowly take your time to go through each lesson in the training and complete each task Kyle gives you to do, this is the surest way to get through this and avoid getting lost with everything. You will learn a lot by doing and making mistakes as we all do, so it's ok to have a go even if you're not sure about a given task.

Let me know if you have any other questions going forward, happy to help you get rolling :)

Hi Tim.
Hope all is well tonight. I just finished with my second Keyword Rich post, however, I would like to add more pictures on my website, such as the makeup brands that I am talking about on my site that are the best on the market. How would I go about adding the pictures or is it not time for me to add them yet? Thanks for your help as always Tim.
