When I log into AdSense a pop up "say hi to your home page" comes up in the middle of the screen and locks everything on the home page up. There is no way to click on it to get

Tim, I noticed that you said that the ads do not match your content of raised garden beds.

Are your AdSense ads in your side bar or in your content?

Though I personally do not use AdSense, I believe I remember Jay saying in one of is webinar classes on AdSense that in order for the ads to be relevant to your niche, they need to appear within the body of content. When in the sidebar they tend to be off-topic.

Thanks Boomer. That may be the issue.

You are welcome Tim.

I would give you odds that's not due to AdSense but due to some other malware you also downloaded. Adsense normally doesn't show up as a pop-up. You need to really clean out your laptop.

The computer is clean. My site is about raised garden beds and the adds do not match the content. Thank you for the suggestions.

Hey Tim,

Log into your account, go to the plugin you are using for Adsense and Deactivate it so the prompt will no longer effect your home page.

There are many really great Adsense tutorials offered here (see screen print below) that may offer you a way to fix this issue.

Hope this helps you.

Thank You I will try that.

How can I reposition the Amazon affilliate link "vertically" (up and down) in my blog side bar. I want the add to line up with the corresponding content. I know about widgets,

It's a bit difficult to figure what you're trying to do.

Sidebars are completely independent of the main content area.

An ad shouldn't end up in a footer if you placed it in a sidebar, or elsewhere.

Care to provide any screenshots or a link to what you're trying to do.

Up and down in the side bar. Any ideas? This is getting frustrating as I am getting quite a bit of information that has nothing to do with my question.

You can create an image that is up and down and add the affiliate link to it. Not sure what you mean by your question. A bit more detail required to give a proper answer.

Hey, did you ever get your problem solved?

Are you meaning how to move it up or down the side bar or back and forth in the footer?

I added an Amazon add link to my side bar. Now, I want to move the add vertically within the sidebar so the add will line up with the content.

Go to Appearance > Widgets and then you can drag and drop the widgets to the positions that you want.

?????

If you're not familiar with 'drag and drop' then this video on menus demonstrates the procedure. You just click on the widget you want to move and hold down your mouse button. Move your mouse up or down to where you want the widget to be, then remove your finger from the button.

While adding the image, you can use "left / right alignment" icon. You should also make sure your cursor is placed accurately inserting the image.

If you google " Wordpress Image positioning" you should be able to get around several websites which show this with images.

Hope this helps!

Why wont my links work. And how come my menu does not look the same as in the classroom. I have been 3 days in chat room and online trying to figure out what is wrong and nothi

Not sure what is going on. It started working now. I do not know what I have done differently. I am going to quite for the day my head hurts.

Is this intended to be a rhetorical question? Because you have not given any links for us to check and have a look at so that anyone can answer your question. As it stands it sounds as though you're just about to give up!
