Hey all,

Hi Thomas,
Looking at the email you've got posted in the comments below, I'd say it looks like spam. I'd just ignore it myself...actually I believe I've gotten similar ones in the past and just ignored them.

If it were from WA or another domain company (depending where you got your domain from) it should show them as the sender of the email.

There's a lot of scams and spammers out there, so I usually check to see who the sender is before I even read emails now. Just a word of warning, be careful not to click on links inside emails unless you're sure they are who they say they are. And, if you're not sure, do like you just did and ask here at WA.

Hope that helps and best wishes :) ~Sherry

I see. Thanks for the info Sherry! I got the domain from WA so I wasn't sure. Also, I may have panicked a little after seeing Important Notice and failure to comply may result in your website not being able to be searched. Thanks again!

Where did you get your domain from?

I'm not sure with what you mean by that. From here, I guess.. From the site rubix platform. Based on the lessons on how to do it. Maybe it's just spam?? Like these guys detect if there's a new domain registered so they send you stuff like this. Just wated to make sure that it's not WA related.

Oh ok, just hit ignore then. lol

I'll just ignore it then.. Probably a spam... Thanks John!

Not a problem my cababayan!

Here's the email as when I include it in the question it takes the whole page and I can't click on the submit button.

Thanks Kiersten! Yeah, I just got a little nervous when I saw the Final Notice part. I was like what did i do wrong? Then the whole making it difficult for your customer to locate you on the web. I'm like already! I just started, I don't wanna lose customers already. :p

Please, you have to ignore that email, that's a SCAM.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't really sure earlier if it was WA related that's why I asked. Thanks again!

Hello fellow WA'ers,

I'm just curious to know as to basically how much content is needed or at least a good amount before signing in for affiliate programs? The reason I

Thanks for the reply everyone. I did apply on one independent affiliate and it's nice because it's local. It did say that it has to review my application and will contact me by email, that was yesterday when I did it.

I'll probably apply around next week for other independent affiliates in the automotive sector, as I will be attending two car meets this weekend. I'm starting to think that I probably picked the wrong niche as it requires me to be present at this kind of things so that I can get good and original content. My wife is starting to give me "that look" when I tell her I need to go here and there.. Hahaha.

I applied to Honeyville's affiliate program with only 3 posts on an older blog and was denied. They never explained why they denied my application though, so I'm not sure if it was because my site didn't have enough content or traffic yet or if it was for some other reason.

Hmm.. strange, they should at least provide an explanation as to why it was denied. But that's what I wanted to know, what is at least a safe number when it comes to posts before applying for affiliate programs so they won't have a reason to deny you.

Hi Thomas, I was at this point and signed up to shareasale with about three posts and 4 pages up. That was maybe 3 days ago but have not heard back even though they were meant to review in 24 hours. Amazon is no problem though and it is instant. I will post to let you know what happens once I get a reply from Shareasale, cheers Jamie

That sounds good. Let us know how it goes. Thanks!

Your site has enough content man and don't be afraid to apply for affiliate programs as that is just part of the process. I mean, don't go in there with your site saying "hello world" and you should be good to go. Even if you don't get approved, you can always resubmit and they will approve you eventually. Site looks great by the way!

Hey John,

Thanks for the reply. I also applied at another independent affiliate yesterday but I unfortunately closed the window where it said "If you don't recieve a confirmation email, click here to resend". I've been checking my email and so far none.. Should I apply for it again on just wait it out a few.

By the way, totally off-topic. Are you filipino? Just asking. You don't have to answer that if you don't want to. :)

Not a problem man and no I am not filipino, lol. What do you think I am?

Oh ok.. I just see some filipino resemblance in you. Plus the name also.. I would say Hispanic then. A lot of people think I'm hispanic also but when I tell them I'm half filipino they go Ohh... Really.. You don't look like one. Lol.

Hahahaha! I'm actually from Guam and we do have a lot of filipino people here. I'm actually at the hospital and the nurses are filipino. Where are you from originally?

Oh cool! Well, I'm not far off then. Lol! Well, I was born and raised in the Philippines, My mom's Filipino and my dad's american. So I guess you can say I'm filipino first, then american second. When I was 17, I migrated to the U.S. and been there ever since. Then I met my wife, long story short I now live in Toronto, Canada and also a Canadian citizen now. Nice to meet a fellow service member also. Hooah!

Is there something we don't have in common? lol. What did you do in the Army?

I was in the Navy. Hospital Corpsman, since the Marines don't have medical in their MOS, we provide it for them.. Well, they're under our department anyways.. But they don't like it when we say that.. It gets them butthurt.. Lol.

How about you?

Dude I sent you a pm (private message), respond to me from there. lol

Where? I don't see it. Nothing yet shows on my notification.. I know, We're spamming this question post.. Lol. Just keep in touch bro. I'll be around. Hehe.

You should have a red envelope up top

Hi Thomas. Your site looks awesome! I'm right behind you on course 3, lesson 1... so I'm equally interested in your question.

Thanks!
I was just following the lessons but kinda got scared when I saw that your application will be reviewed and can be denied and one of the things they'll look for are content, traffic, and all that good stuff. I'm just playing it safe I guess.

I'm also curious to hear thoughts from this. I'm only on course 2, but would be interested in knowing more about this before I get to that point. Your site looks really cool btw!

Hi Kiersten,

Yeah, I kinda got scared signing up for some affiliate programs after reading somewhere on it that the website has to be reviewed and it can be denied. I guess I'll just keep on doing the lessons to keep learning and posting more content every chance I get and do the affiliate program sign up later.

Thanks for visiting my site and for the comment!

Regards,
Thomas
