Ok, I have a site with 160+ posts- No keyword research, or strategy of any kind went into it. I want to re-do the site. Can I build it on Site Rubix and when the time is right

No real point changing where your site is hosted. Especially if it's already on Wordpress.

Keep it where it is. You'll probably find that you just need to look at keywords in more details and slap a nice theme theme on it and it should start ranking well - unless the content is very general or abstract.

If it's already niche specific and that niche isn't super competitive then as the site must be relatively old now - considering the number of posts - you should be in a good position.

One big BUT . . . If the content is thin ( short posts, automatically generated posts, generic posts, nothing much of value to a reader etc ) then you should also check that the site hasn't been hit with any Google penalties - which might be the cause of why it isnt doing so well at present - check this at: http://feinternational.com/website-penalty-indicator/

Thanks. The site generates about 80 visits a day. The content is high well written and a good length, but somewhat abstract because of the way I titled the posts. The Niche is Personal Growth/ Self Transformation- if there is such a thing! I will check the link you provided, and start my Niche research before I start the keyword research-based rebirth! Thanks.

I've seen a link for revamping an old site, or revitalizing a site. I am almost sure you can transfer it over. I believe Renelynm is right on target with what I have seen in my training. Best of wishes on getting it transferred over & up and running

hi check out the new training of Jay hope it helps you

Thanks renelynm, I watched it and got lots of useful information. I actually wanted to see it the other night when it aired but was preoccupied. Thanks for the link!

Hello,

When the other site is also a WordPress site and you can take a copy of this site...
And then first you create a standard Rubix site after that you do an import of the site on Rubix... No problem.till here.
But after the import the images will not be imported, which is actually the purpose, because all your links will still point to the image on your own domain.
So that you have to correct all manually and then you can further edit your site on Rubix.

To get it back on your domain name. At that moment, you change the DNS settings to WA settings and you do a transfer a transfer in Rubix to your own domain name (then links and everything is automatically adapted.) And by then you will have to choose: Do I keep my hosting on WA or do I put my site back on my old hosting...
If you want to transfer it to your old hosting, again change the DNS settings, backup the site you have here (with FTP) and place that copy on your old hosting after deleting the previous site (so you are sure there is nothing left) and then you will roll again...

But this is roughly said what all the steps are that you need to do...
And on the way there will be a few other bumps that I did not think about...

But it is definitely possible...

You can also look with the search bar at the top of the site for other experiences or lessons, but when you can do the step with FTP and not with an importer, that's the best tip I can give...

Grtz,
Bert

Thank you - I think you nailed it ! Thanks. I will rebuild on Site Rubix and expect some manual work in directing links. I will definitely be going to W.A. for hosting.

Your Welcome and if you have another question or issue don't hesitate...
